"Why are you holding me—" He whispered back to Jyrana; however, she covered his mouth and shook her head, not wanting to interrupt the class.
"The fourth rule: don't make pain your enemy."
'What?' Klaus was flabbergasted after hearing that; sure, there was a point to it, but no one liked being in pain, no one.
"There will be times when you get hit first; you will feel it sting." He kept circling; many students were already dozing off as time seemed to pass so slowly like they were in an abandoned desert with nothing to do whatsoever.
"You will be burned, even cut or shocked; however, you mustn't freeze." He raised his fist like he was a soldier leading his men into battle, "if you freeze, you die! If you die, what will your families say? What will your teammates say?"
'Families…probably nothing,' Klaus remembered being basically kicked out, so he didn't really have an answer to that.
"If you want to scream, then let it out, but never take your eyes off your opponent."
