Lyra's POV
"Stand down, Alpha Ironwood," my mother's commanding voice filled the room. Vivienne offered me a gentle smile before turning her attention to Alaric.
"I received your urgent communication," her gaze shifted back to me with obvious concern. "A vampire infiltrated the academy grounds?"
"Two vampires, Your Majesty," Xander stepped forward, positioning himself to address my mother directly. "The Headmaster and I eliminated one. We've captured the second for interrogation."
"Merciful heavens," my mother breathed, her face paling. She gave Xander a respectful nod. "My gratitude, Alpha Eclipse. The headmaster informed me you conducted yourself with both courage and strength."
Xander bowed his head respectfully. "It was my honor, Your Majesty."
"I will speak with both of you shortly," Vivienne directed her words to Ash and Xander. "First, I need to hear Miss Cooper's account of what happened."
