My first week back on campus felt like walking through a minefield disguised as normalcy.
Normal for someone who happened to be a hidden wolf Princess with five fated mates, fresh off a vampire kidnapping, and apparently destined to save the world. Just your average college experience, really.
The one constant that hadn't changed since my return was the whispers that followed me everywhere. But now the murmurs carried a different weight. Students who used to dismiss me as the wolfless nobody now watched me with curious eyes and hushed conversations. The vampire kidnapping had shifted something fundamental in how they saw me. Suddenly, I wasn't invisible anymore.
I was someone worth taking.
The thought sent ice through my veins every time.
