Of course, I knew what flux was. The state of water constantly flowing, changing and shifting into any form.
That was what Flux was.

And the next thing I know, everything felt like it was in a joystick controller.

Kanae's movements slowed down, and I pressed on my joystick again.
I moved forward and grabbed her hand whilst slamming her onto the ground.
I then jabbed my hand forward and landed a punch with my right arm.
"What is that skill!?" Kanae screamed.
No one knew of this skill, of course. It just awakened inside of me, after all.
"Entergamement" was flashing before my eyes. Everything I used to do on dueling games were being implemented in real life right now.
Maybe that was the purpose of the skill. Everything I've done for entertainment is now being put to test in real life, as if it's a game.
Kanae slowly weakened, and before I landed a hit straight to her face, the system message stopped me.

I looked at the screen appearing right before me.

I could hear the shocked crowd silenced before screaming in amusement.
Of course, they didn't expect a bottom-tier person like me to defeat Kanae Adabana. I also didn't expect myself to beat her.
My classmates started cheering, and several people started being wary of me, or most likely, the skill I awakened.

When I woke up, I was in our school clinic. I was laying down, and someone was sitting next to my table desk.
It was Sora Jiwon, our class vice-representative, and my sole friend since middle school.
She was there to witness me getting bullied, she was there when I was nothing, and she was there earlier as well.
I brush her hair to the back of her ear. I was very thankful to have her as my friend.
Not so long after, she woke up. She brushed her short hair in a pixie cut and asked me.
"You woke up?"

"I still can't believe you won."

It sure was a spectacle. No one was indeed expecting this.

"Oh, you mean 'Entergamement'?"
"Yes."
"I don't know. The last thing I thought of before I activated that skill was that I wanna play games when I go home again."
I wasn't half-lying. The only reason why I could think of my PS5 was because I so wanted to play it when I got home.
But, I didn't wanna expose the secrets 'Flux' gave to me as well.
"I think it's pretty obvious don't you think?" I asked her.
"The only way you could activate a skill is if you think about it" she responded.
She was quick, but of course, it was indeed very obvious.
"So, what will you do from now on, Rei?"
"What do you mean?"
"I'm pretty sure that after that match, a lot of people would wanna fight against you."
"Probably, yes. But you'll protect me, right?"
"I'm not joking, Rei."
"Sora the only way is to fight them, you know that too, right?"
"I know. I know, but..."
"It's no use trying to get out of this. I'll train more, so don't worry okay?"

All it took was a simple conversation. What would happen tot he future? How will we respond?
Me and Sora were like this, and this was exactly why we were friends.

I recalled how I even met him. And as far as I know, there's only one way to meet him.
A near-death encounter.
So, if I wanted to meet him again, I would have to fight someone strong again.

Sora was desperate. She was worried, I knew. But still.

Sora took her bag and left the room angry. I understood her emotions, perhaps it was because she's worried but it felt like she didn't trust me.
In order to meet that being again, I had to do tone thing.
