Chapter 16 - Then Add the Buster Call Too

"Bastard, who the hell are you?!"

Spandam scrambled up from the floor, glaring at Jin with eyes that looked ready to spit fire. "Judging by your clothes… a Marine?!"

"Who gave you permission to do this?!"

"Do you have any idea what the consequences are?!"

He was furious.

He had been in the middle of happily talking about his glorious future with his subordinates when—bang—the front gate came flying in.

If he hadn't been lucky, that door might've smashed straight into his face!

He wasn't CP9. He didn't have a monster's body.

If something like that hit him, he would've died on the spot.

"Obviously, this man is not a Marine," Blueno said calmly.

He was dressed like an ordinary Marine soldier, yet he carried a sword at his waist—and he had just blown the main gate away with a single punch.

There was clearly something wrong.

"So he's one of the pirates who invaded Enies Lobby? Chapapa~"

"Earlier reports said only Straw Hat Luffy had entered, but it seems that wasn't the full picture," Blueno added.

As he spoke, he glanced at Spandam's desk—only then noticing that the Den Den Mushi hadn't been placed properly.

That likely explained why no messages had come through.

"To invade this place all by yourself… should I call you stupid, or bold?" Kalifa pushed her glasses up and said coolly.

The others stared at Jin in silence, clearly not expecting a pirate to storm in alone.

"Bold, I guess," Jin said cheerfully. "After all, I'm someone who does whatever I want. Your World Government can't keep me in line."

"Bastard! Who do you think you are?!" Spandam roared.

"Do you even understand what the World Government represents?!"

Someone daring to look down on the World Government—this was the first time he'd ever seen such arrogance.

Did this man not understand what that meant?!

"That's your World Government," Jin replied calmly.

"Not mine."

"And so?" Kalifa asked. "You came here alone—are you planning to challenge all of us?"

"I just came to meet the enemies we'll be facing," Jin said. "And say a few things."

"You're not here to deliver a challenge letter, are you?" Jabra said exaggeratedly.

"That's a classic pirate move, you know."

"Hahahaha."

He'd seen it more than once during missions.

"You can think of it that way," Jin shrugged.

"Of course, if you don't accept… I don't mind killing all of you right here."

"A challenge letter?" Kaku said with a strange look.

"And who exactly are you representing?"

He automatically ignored the second half of Jin's words—because in his eyes, that was simply impossible.

He had full confidence in his own strength.

"The Straw Hat Pirates."

"You think the Straw Hat Pirates can take on all of CP9?" Rob Lucci asked coldly.

He didn't care why the Straw Hat crew suddenly had an extra member.

The outcome, in his eyes, would not change.

"No."

"Heh, at least you have some self-awaren—"

"Then add the Buster Call," Jin said.

The moment those words fell, Lucci's expression darkened.

Was this man mocking him?

Did he not understand what a Buster Call was—or was he simply that confident in himself?

"Yoyoi~"

"Pirate, do you even know what the Buster Call is?" Fukurokuju asked.

That was a military force capable of erasing an entire island.

More importantly—every Buster Call involved five Marine Headquarters Vice Admirals.

"I know."

Fukurokuju froze. "You know… and you still—"

"Because that's the method you use to threaten Robin," Jin said calmly.

"But if even the Buster Call can't do anything to us… then that threat becomes meaningless, doesn't it?"

As he spoke, his gaze swept across the group before finally settling on Spandam.

"You look like their superior."

"In that case, the one with the authority to activate the Buster Call… would be you."

"That's right—it's me!" Spandam said with a dark sneer.

"I do have that authority."

"But kid—you're seriously overestimating yourself."

"To deal with you lot, I don't even need the Buster Call."

All of CP9—except the newly joined rookie—were gathered here.

Dealing with a single Straw Hat crew was more than enough.

With a cold laugh, Spandam shouted,

"Take him down!"

A challenge letter?

How childish.

With Nico Robin and Franky already in his hands, why would he bother playing such games?

Even if he tore up their so-called agreement, what could Robin do?

"Not just him—every pirate who came to Enies Lobby will die," Jabra said with a bloodthirsty grin.

Anyone who dared challenge the authority of the World Government had to be punished.

Severely.

"These pirates will be executed one by one—that's the only way to restore the government's dignity."

"Bastards! This isn't what you promised!" Nico Robin screamed from outside.

They had agreed—if she cooperated, CP9 wouldn't touch the Straw Hat Pirates!

But from their words, they clearly had no intention of letting them live.

This was nothing like what they'd said before.

Franky glanced at her with pity.

At this point… did the enemy really have any reason to honor that so-called agreement?

"Heh. What a naive woman."

Hearing Robin's scream, Spandam sneered.

That "agreement" meant nothing to him.

It had merely been a tool to take her away.

If those pirates had obediently stayed in Water 7, he wouldn't even have bothered with them.

They were just pirates—there were countless like them on the sea.

Killing them or not made no difference.

As long as it didn't affect his career.

As long as he delivered Nico Robin and Franky, he'd gain unimaginable rewards.

Maybe he'd even become an officer of the legendary CP0 someday!

But now—

Since those audacious pirates dared to come to Enies Lobby…

There was no need for mercy.

Kill them all.

"Kid, whether this is a challenge or not, I'll admit one thing," Jabra said, baring his teeth.

"You've got guts coming here alone."

"Shave!"

In an instant, Jabra vanished and appeared in front of Jin.

"But sorry—we're assassins. We don't play games."

"Finger Pistol!"

Psh!

"Hahahaha—what a pathetic—"

Before he could finish, Jabra froze.

What he'd pierced wasn't the arrogant brat at all—

—but a wooden log.

Jabra: "???"

What the hell was this?!

He was certain he'd hit the target.

So why had it turned into a log?

Was this a Devil Fruit ability?

What kind of power was this? He couldn't see through it at all.

"Come with me for a moment," Jin's voice sounded calmly.

"You messy-looking superior."

Everyone's eyes widened as they whipped around.

At some point, Jin had already appeared right in front of Spandam.

He was squatting atop the desk, crimson eyes staring calmly down at the panicked man.

Those scarlet pupils—

Reflected endlessly in Spandam's terrified eyes as they rapidly drew closer.
