Chapter 2 - chapter 1

Velmora City.

Solace Company — once one of the most famous companies in the entertainment industry.

A place where films were made.

Where singers were launched.

Where writers' dreams were born.

Today…

The same company's shares were continuously falling.

Shareholders were stepping back one by one.

News channels were screaming—

"Solace Company on the verge of collapse."

But Solace Company's CEO,

Nova Solace, had taken a bold and dangerous decision.

She told the shareholders—

Sell your shares.

A black luxury car was speeding through the city roads.

Inside the car, a man was watching the news playing on his phone screen.

Solace Company.

Shares falling.

CEO desperate.

Without any expression, he turned off the phone.

Then, in a deep and commanding voice, he said—

"Solace Company."

The driver glanced in the rear-view mirror.

"Yes, sir."

The car's speed increased.

The man leaned back slightly in his seat.

He closed his eyes.

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

As if something he had been waiting for…

was finally about to begin.

– Nova Office Call

Nova Solace sat upright in her office chair.

There was no expression on her face.

No anger.

No panic.

No exhaustion.

Only a cold calmness.

Her eyes were carefully scanning every page of the file lying on her desk,

while her fingers continued typing on the laptop keyboard.

On the screen, Solace Company's share prices were falling.

But Nova's gaze did not waver.

Just then, the phone on her desk started ringing.

Nova picked up the call without wasting a second.

From the other side came a serious and powerful voice—

"Ms. Nova… I want to sell my shares."

The calmness on Nova's face hardened.

Her eyes sharpened.

"Mr. Morgan,"

she said in a firm and controlled tone,

"how can you do this?

You have been a close friend of my grandfather.

And you are also the biggest shareholder of our company.

If you sell your shares…

I will be left with only twenty-five percent ownership."

There was a brief silence.

Then Morgan spoke in a slightly guilty, yet firm voice—

"Nova, I cannot help you with this.

Your company was already in debt.

To save it, you sold your own shares.

Today the debt is cleared…

but the company is not growing.

And when there is no growth…

investors lose their money."

Nova's voice turned even colder.

"Mr. Morgan, it is because of my family's support

that your own business exists today.

And you were the one who taught me the rules of business."

The voice on the other side became sharp—

"When a company is going down,

ego is not used for talking…

It is used in business."

Click.

The call was disconnected.

Nova slowly placed the phone back on the desk.

Her eyes returned to the laptop screen.

The shares had fallen even more.

But this time…

There was only one thing in Nova Solace's eyes—

determination.

Nova was bent over her laptop.

Her face had hardened.

A knock sounded.

Her assistant entered and stopped in front of her.

"Ma'am… the shareholders have arrived.

They're waiting in the meeting room."

Nova glanced at her watch.

11:00 AM.

"Tell them to wait."

Her voice was calm.

But cold.

Very cold.

Nova stood up.

She walked out of her office with firm, fast steps.

Her black tailored business dress sharpened her powerful aura even more.

An aura—

That never bowed before life.

The meeting room door opened.

The moment she stepped inside, all eyes turned toward her.

Some straightened in their seats.

Some adjusted their ties.

Nova didn't greet anyone.

She walked straight to her chair and sat down.

The room fell completely silent.

But it wasn't peaceful silence.

It was the kind of silence that comes before a tsunami.

Nova spoke in a firm, controlled tone.

"So… you all want to sell your shares?"

No one answered.

Her gaze slowly scanned the room.

"The company that supported your businesses…

The company whose founder gave you the chance to stand where you are today…

When that same company is struggling,

you choose to step back?"

A few shareholders lowered their eyes.

Then one man spoke.

"Don't try to guilt-trip us.

We bought those shares with our own money.

And if the company is sinking,

why should we invest more?"

A faint smile touched Nova's lips.

"Mr. Fort…

don't forget that I also own twenty percent shares in your company."

Mr. Fort fell silent.

Another shareholder spoke.

"You can't pressure us.

And even if Mr. Fort doesn't sell his shares,

you'll only have thirty-five percent ownership.

You need money to grow the company."

Nova leaned forward slightly.

"You're absolutely right.

That's why I'm saying…

All of you are selling your shares."

A murmur spread across the room.

The assistant stared at Nova in shock.

One shareholder scoffed.

"And who's going to buy them?

Your shares are already falling.

If you don't get good investors,

where will the money come from?"

Suddenly, the meeting room door swung open.

The secretary rushed inside, slightly breathless.

He went straight to Nova and whispered.

"Boss…

Mr. Vale is in the building.

He wants to meet you."

Mr. Vale.

At that name…

For the first time—

A flicker of surprise appeared on Nova's face.

Nova had forgotten how to blink.

Then one of the shareholders spoke quietly—

"Mr. Vale… the same man who acquired two companies just last month. He has built such a huge business empire at such a young age."

Listening carefully to the shareholders, Nova turned toward her secretary and said calmly—

"Make him a part of this meeting. Bring him here."

Just as the secretary stepped forward…

The meeting room door opened on its own.

A man walked in.

A completely calm face.

A perfectly tailored brown business coat.

A silver watch on his wrist.

Black polished shoes.

His aura was so cold and dangerous that the temperature of the room seemed to drop.

The moment he entered, all the shareholders turned to look at him.

And Nova…

Her eyes locked onto him.

She forgot to blink.

The man stood in front of everyone and said in a cold, controlled voice—

"I am Elric Vale.

CEO of Vale Holdings Group."

Then he looked at the shareholders—

"I want to buy this company's shares."

Complete silence filled the room.

Nova stared at him.

He had become part of her meeting without permission.

And now, in front of her, he was announcing that he wanted to buy her company's shares.

Elric calmly walked to a chair and sat down.

His secretary stood beside him.

Nova said in a cold, firm voice—

"But I will not sell you my shares."

Nova's secretary and assistant both looked at her in shock.

A faint smile appeared on Elric's lips.

"Ms. Nova…

Your company needs money to grow right now.

And I am offering to buy your shares at double the price."

All the shareholders stared at him in disbelief.

Elric leaned forward, locking his gaze with Nova.

"But I will buy the shares from the shareholders… and I will also invest fresh capital into Solace Company."

Then he leaned back, a faint, confident smile on his lips.

"This will happen only if I become a strategic partner in this company."

Nova stared at him as if she could burn him alive.

But for now, saving her business was far more important than her anger.

Elric turned toward the shareholders and said with calm authority,

"So, I am buying your shares at double the price.

I hope you will choose this instead of investing your money elsewhere in the company."

Nova's voice was firm, sharp:

"Mr. Vale… you are turning my shareholders against me?"

Elric's reply was controlled and confident:

"Really? Your shareholders are already against you.

And you were the one who asked them to sell their shares in the first place.

I am simply showing you mercy."

Hearing this, Nova's fists clenched.

She glared at him with a deadly look.

The shareholders hesitated, then one finally said,

"We are ready, Mr. Vale… to give you our shares.

Just don't go back on your words."

A faint smile spread across Elric's lips.

"I neither forget my words… nor will I let anyone else forget them."

His gaze shifted to Nova, who was still staring daggers at him.

He stood confidently, a silent aura of power surrounding him.

Elric slowly walked in front of her.

"My secretary will have the papers ready…

You just take the money and sign the documents.

You may leave now."

All the shareholders exchanged nervous glances, then politely greeted him and left.

Nova's assistant and secretary quietly followed, leaving only the two of them in the room.

Nova exhaled softly, her voice laced with disbelief and frustration:

"What do you gain by buying these shares at double the price,

when you could have bought them much cheaper?"

Elric walked around the room slowly, each step confident and deliberate.

"That's true… but this is all because I want your company.

I did this to become its partner.

And if the shareholders had sold their shares elsewhere…"

Nova interrupted, her voice a mixture of anger and disbelief:

"So, you did all this just to become the company's partner?"

Elric turned her chair toward himself.

Placing both hands on the armrests, he leaned close and said,

"No… this was to enter your life, babe.

How could you forget me?

I will bring back all the memories you've forgotten."

A faint smile curved his lips as he straightened up,

then he strode out of the meeting room with quiet confidence.

Nova remained frozen in place, her face a mix of shock and confusion.

In a low voice, as if speaking to herself, she murmured,

"Who is this boy…

who says I will not forget?"

The assistant quietly opened the office door and stood before Nova.

His voice carried a hint of hesitation:

"Boss… all the shareholders… they're selling their shares.

Meaning, Mr. Vale will now become the largest shareholder of the company."

Nova's face remained calm, but her eyes were sharp, alert, and curious.

"Ah… and all this is only because he wants to become a strategic partner in the company?"

The assistant paused, surprised and hesitant:

"Yes… boss."

Nova turned to her assistant, her eyes filled with a mix of challenge and seriousness:

"Have we met him before at an event… or have I seen him somewhere?"

The assistant hesitated, thinking carefully, then spoke slowly:

"No, boss… nothing like that has happened."

He fell silent for a moment, carefully choosing his words, then finally asked softly:

"Boss… did you say anything to Mr. Vale… regarding the company?"

Nova took a slow breath, her eyes gleaming with determination, looking slightly into the distance:

"Forget it… that's not important now.

I want all the details about Mr. Vale.

Bring him to my office… immediately."

The assistant, a bit shocked but careful, nodded:

"Yes, boss."

Nova strode out of the meeting room with complete confidence.

Every fold of her black business dress, every measured step, radiated a cold, commanding aura,

showing that nothing in life could force her to bow down.
