Chapter 1: Spectra
In a forest far from Tokyo, Japan
(screech!, a bus stops)
(Thud, doors open, then a kid stepped out of the bus)
(Confused)
"Huh! What the hell?"?
(Sees two people burying a corpse, blinked twice)
"What?"?
(The kid looked back at the bus and realized the bus was not there, and nervously chuckled.)
"Wait! What the hell"?
"Huh, where did the bus go? Wait, where did those two guys go?
"No! When did it get dark? And where did the road go?"?
"Wait, does this mean I'm already in a nightmare?"?
(Gulp, he looked at the long trees in the dark forest)
"Ahh!, wait, isn't someone supposed to be indoors when something like this happens?"?
"And aren't I outside right now? And there isn't a place to take shelter, right? So wait, I'm outside, no shelter, no weapon, no idea where the hell I am"?
(He looked around nervously and realized that the forest seemed endless and so dark that he couldn't see even 5 feet away from him)
(Sighed)
"I might be in trouble here"?
"Ohh!.. wait, I have a weapon"?
"Hey"?
(Then he felt a sudden touch on his right shoulder)
"What"?
(He turned around and saw a man who seemed to be strict and straightforward)
(Not feeling safe, the kid jumped forward and assumed a battle pose)
"Hey!.. does no reason to be afraid"?
"Because I'm the one who hired you"?
(Says the man with an inthuciastic voice with a trustworthy smile )
"I'm Fujimoto Kimimato."
(Says the man introducing himself)
"What?"?
(Confused)
"What do u mean what?"Fujimoto
"No, it's just"?
"Are you always rude to your customers?"Fujimoto
(The kid just looked at him, thinking what's wrong with this guy)
(Sigh)
"Kid, you really ain't so keen on the brains side ain't you"?
(The kid just looked at him)
"Your name!!, kid, your name!"Fujimoto
"Oh!"?
(Then he spoke)
"Okay!... " Is my name Ren! Nice to meet you"
"How old are you?" Fujimoto
"Seriously! Is this an interrogation? "Ren
(The man sighs again)
"Kid!!, I need to know who the hell is here to help out, " Fujimoto
"What did you not read on the page when you requested me)
"You know, kid, sometimes you need to relax a little bit", Fujimoto
"Whatever! Fine, fine, I'm 13 teen years old, "Ren
"See, kid, if you flex a bit, life will be easier or something", Fujimoto
"I guess?"Fujimoto
(While Mr. Fuji was talking, Ren was thinking, Is he stupid or something? How do you just say something you don't even understand yourself)
"Urgh! I guess that's not true, but I think some of the things I said were true...I think?"Fujimoto
"See the point here that you need to brighten up, kid", Fujimoto
"Are you gonna lecture me, an old man?"Ren
(the man sighed again)
"I'm not old....I'm just trying to guide you through life, kid," Fujimoto
"Yeah, whatever, gramps, you know I was trying to be a good kid around you, but nope, that's not possible...you are way too!"Ren
"Too awesome, understanding, amazing!"Fujimoto
"No, I was gonna say annoying, but whatever floats your boat", Ren
"You know what, kid?" Fujimoto
"What?"Ren
"You are impossible to get along with, I don't know how your parents could understand your confusing ass", Fujimoto
"Woe, woe, language!"Ren
"Whatever, you are the one making use of that language because you don't want to comply", Fujimoto
"So, old man, are you going to tell me what is happening here?"Ren
"Oh yeah!, You see, we have a nightmare problem", Fujimoto
"We?" Ren
"Ohh...I have a wife," Fujimoto
(Ren looked confused and thought this guy had a family)
(Then the man looked at him and shook his shoulders)
"What?"Fujimoto
"Wait, how do you think I have a daughter!"Fujimoto
"I just thought if you had a wife, she would be here with you! You know?"Ren
"And I also thought you might be...."Ren
(He might be a lonely gizer)
"What, no!!, I have a wife and a family," Fujimoto
"At least I did, Fujimoto
"Look, I don't want to know, and don't you think we should be getting there, I mean, time old man?" Ren
"Yeah, we really need to be getting back", Fujimoto
"My wife is waiting for you", Fujimoto
"Okay", Ren
"Let's go then", Fujimoto
(Then they started walking, and suddenly the forest that seemed to be endless wasn't endless anymore, and they could even see the house from where they were)
(Ren was confused because even when he arrived, he didn't see the house, and suddenly he could see it, and on top of that, the endless darkness that he could see was slowly disappearing)
(Shortly after they arrived, Me Fuji stood in front of the house and said)
