Chapter 10 : The couple's decision
(The growls and roars of the nightmare creature could be heard from several kilometers away, the two Fujis were cowering in fear of the sound they could hear from Malevolo)
(The growlls and roars, went on for a good 20 minutes until they died down a little bit enough so that the Fujis could think again, so Ren started to interrogate the two now)
(Ren glared at the two of them with a look that said to them I'm done playing dumb I want you to tell me truth)
"Tell me why did you not tell the full story"Ren
(They both tilted their heads towards the ground and stared at their toes in shame and disgrace)
"Ren we didn't think it was important for you to know"Fujimoto
(Ren clantched his fists in rage as he stared at the two Fujis)
"I know you thought so but you could have at least told me about Mikae's past so I could know what I facing here"Ren
(The Fujis felt guilty so lying to Ren and not telling him the whole story)
"Look that thing is probably entering a second phase
And if it does then things will get very ugly"Ren
"How and what would happen if gets to second phase"Fujimoto
"You see when a nightmare takes over a human's body for to long it evolves or level up to get stronger and gain more abilities"Ren
"Okay its just some few abilities there's nothing to worry about"Yumine
"If that was only gaining new abilities it wouldn't be a problem but these things get worse and dangerous when they level up"Ren
"How do they get dangerous when they level up"Yumine
"A nightmare creature gets an ability we inspectors call Kōshi"Ren
"So what does that mean"Yumine
"Kōshi is a type of curse that is applied to the nightmare's victim and their loved ones, this curse eats away at the person's dreams and eventually the rest of the body"Ren
"And if it gets to that point I'm more worry about the two of you it might place one on you two, so I need to get this whole thing done quick"Ren
(Ren had a bag with him right of the beginning of this mission so he took out a jar filled with some black powder, then he started to spread it around in a circle them in a radius of about 3 meters)
"What is that?"Yumine
"Well this is a special type of dust that will protect us from that thing, because when that thing is done with what ever that growling was for it'll come straight to us and it will kill us"Ren
"What are you saying"Yumine
"You see the thing is probably loosing it its last pieces of sanity and its gonna go on a rampage and we are at the end of it's rampage before it goes looking for more people to kill"Ren
(Then suddenly all the roars came to an end)
"Ahh! I guess I was right he was going to finish up his little song"Ren
(Then Ren remembered to ask them so thing)
"Hey you two look at stomachs"Ren
(They looked and they saw some ancient writing on them)
"What is this?"Yumine
"Thats the curse it was placed on you by the nightmare"Ren
"But you said"Yumine
"Yeahhh, I know what I said but tell did that thing ask you for something"Ren
"Yeahh, now that you mentione it, it asked for some old books"Fujimoto
"Yeah I guess that will do it"Ren
"What will do what"Yumine
"The book was a requirement for it to level up and you helped it meet that requirement which mean that thing just got done leveling up"Ren
(The couple sat down in shock and disbelief of what was happening and they were trying to process all of that info)
(Then Ren quickly finished up with spreading the powder around them then he quickly got in to a battle ready pose)
(Then Malevolo came running in a random patterns taking out trees from the ground and breaking the ground below with so much force)
(Then Malevolo jumped up and threw his hand trying to hit Ren with his hands kill him in one hit but instead he meets a barrier between his hands and Ren)
(Then Ren raised long 1,5 meter cloak over his head to protect himself from Malevolo's hands then suddenly Malevolo broke through the barrier instead met the cloak that had held over his head but this still forced Ren into the ground a little bit but stronger enough to make him groan from the hit)
(Gngh, why is he still so strong Ren was thinking under all that pressure and force coming from Malevolo, but he then asked the couple a another question)
"Hey should I kill her because she is still your loving daughter somewhere inside this monsterousity"Ren
(But they at each other then answered with heavy heart and tears flowing down the their faces)
