Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

What the Fuck...?"

I blinked. Once. Twice.

The messy ceiling of my studio apartment was gone. In its place was an endless, blinding white void. There was no bed, no smell of leftover ramen, and-most importantly-no exit.

Did I get pranked? Is this one of those high-budget hidden camera shows?

I stood up, my knees feeling shaky on the invisible floor. I reached out and gave my cheek a violent pinch.

"Ow! Dammit, that hurts."

It wasn't a dream.

I stood there dazed for a while. Logically, what was I supposed to do? Screaming seemed appropriate, but standing in one spot was useless.

I decided to run. I ran for thirty minutes, pushing until my lungs burned, searching for a single door, a wall, or even a shadow.

Nothing. Just white.

"Seriously, where am I? Did I noclip into the Backrooms or something?"

Just as I was about to lose my mind, a voice boomed from the heavens.

[Welcome to the Void, Han Siwoo.]

"Whoa! Scared the shit out of me! Who are you? Are you the one who kidnapped me?"

[You may refer to me as 'The System.']

"Okay, 'System,' can you send me back to my room? I don't know what you've got going on here, but I'm not interested. I don't want to get 'involved.'"

[I have brought you here for a purpose.]

"Did you not hear me? I want to go home!"

[The reason I have summoned you is...]

"No, listen to me- Dammit!"

To put it simply I had been "transmigated" And Now im in the Void a Realm Before the scenario begin.

The culprit? The webnovel binge-reading last night. It was an intriguing story with three different worlds, each with its own unique flavor. But the main focus was the Villainesses.

They were women destined for nothing but destruction

A Duchess who will became a Witch And destroyed her own kingdom

A woman born as a vessel for deadly toxins. Her poison would caused a massive plague.

An S-Rank Hunter who, after being betrayed by everyone she trusted, would turn her back on humanity and trigger a Gate Break that killed millions.

"Wait, wait,You want me to save them?"

[Correct.]

"For God's sake! Look at me! I'm a guy who spends ten hours a day reading webnovels. Even if you gave me superpowers, I'm too lazy to even move! And newsflash I'm scared of getting hurt!"

[If you are successful... I will grant you any one wish.]

"!!!"

My heart skipped a beat. My anger, which had been boiling over, suddenly simmered down into cold curiosity. I couldn't go home anyway-the System had been rejecting that request since the start.

Any wish, huh Then i Can...?

[To ensure the success of the 'Happy Ending' project, you are granted one 'Root Trait.' Please select from the following options.]

"Wait, hold on! I never said I accepted-"

[To ensure the success of the 'Happ-]

"This fucker...!"

"Fine! I get it! I accept! Just show me the damn list!"

A blue semi-transparent window flickered into existence in front of my face.

[ROOT TRAITS]

[Indomitable Strength]: Grants overwhelming physical power.

[Divine Charisma]: Words that can sway hearts and lead nations.

[Absolute Immunity]: Total resistance to toxins, curses, and status effects.

I stared at the list. Standard 'Hero' cheats.

If I took Strength, I'd have to sweat and fight monsters. If I took Charisma, I'd have to talk my way out of political snake pits. And Immunity? That basically meant being a human shield.

"System,"

While rubbing my own chin.

"These are all 'Frontline' traits."

[Does the User wish to view the 'Specialist' list?]

"Yeah. Give me something that lets me control the narrative."

The screen glitched for a second, and a single, hauntingly purple icon appeared.

[Illusionism (Rank: ???)]

Description: The power to manifest anything you can imagine as a sensory reality. It does not exist, yet it can be seen, smelled, and felt.

"That's it," I snapped my fingers. "That's the one."

[May I ask why?]

"It's because I'm lazy, obviously. Is there a rule saying I have to be physically dropped into their worlds?"

[...]

"There isn't, right? Then I'll simply use my Illusion skill to create 'Avatars.' I'll control them from here and deploy them into each world like game characters."

[...]

The System was silent. It probably didn't expect a 'Hero' to try and work remotely.

"And also..."

"It's because I'm a Romance Enthusiast."

"You need a masterpiece. And I'm going to give them the most beautiful lie they've ever seen."

???

The System remained silent after my declaration. It seemed to be processing my strange reasoning.

[User Han Siwoo, why do you prioritize 'Romance' over 'Justice' or 'Survival'? The probability of mission failure increases when emotional variables are introduced.]

I let out a short laugh, leaning back into the emptiness. My mind drifted back to a rainy afternoon, years ago in a crowded university cafe.

***

"But it's not real, Siwoo,"

Min-ho had said, tapping the cover.

"Real love is doing dishes and arguing about taxes, not running through a rainstorm to declare your feelings."

I had just laughed then, too.

"Of course it's not real,"

I replied, taking a slow sip of my coffee.

"That's the point. I don't read romance to learn how to do my taxes, Min-ho. I read it because it's the only genre that treats 'feeling something' as the ultimate adventure."

"So it's just an escape?"

"It's more than that. It's a reminder that being vulnerable isn't a weakness. In a thriller, the hero wins by being the strongest or the smartest. In romance, the hero wins by being the most honest. They win by opening up, even when it's terrifying."

Min-ho had paused, looking at the cover-a cliché illustration of a Duke and a Lady standing in a rose garden.

"So, you're saying you're in it for the emotional bravery?"

I smirked, closing the book.

"That, and the tension. The 'will-they-won't-they' is better than any car chase, I promise you."

***

"System,"

I said, my voice dropping an octave.

"You asked why I'm doing this? It's simple. The world treated these women like 'Monsters' or 'Obstacles.' They were forced to be strong, forced to be smart, and forced to be cold. No one ever gave them the chance to be vulnerable."

The original author was a hack"

"He created three goddesses of destruction and then realized he didn't know how to stop them. So he took the easy way out. He let them burn, then ended the story with 'everyone died.' It's the ultimate insult to the characters."

"I'm going to create a world where they can finally be honest. A world where they don't have to be the strongest person in the room. Even if I have to lie to the entire world to give them that one moment of truth I'll do it."

[ A 'Lie' cannot block a sword. An 'Illusion' cannot stop a rebellion. Explain your strategy.]

I've read enough of these stories to know. If my imagination is vivid enough, and my Mana is high enough, the world won't be able to tell the difference between what's real and what I've created. My Avatars will have weight. They will bleed. They will hold them when they cry."

[Processing... User Han Siwoo intends to 'Gaslight' the World Logic itself. Calculating success rate...]

[Calculation complete. The 'Director's Method' is viable, but comes with a penalty.]

"A penalty? Of course there is."

[Penalty: Sensory Backlash. Because you are controlling these Avatars from the Void, you will feel 50% of the emotional and physical pain they endure. If an Avatar's 'Heart' breaks, your soul will suffer the consequences.]

I winced. 50%? That was still a lot of pain for a guy who hated paper cuts.

"Fine. Deal. But I want one more thing."

[System: State your request.]

"I need the 'Background Edit' privilege. If I'm going to drop an Avatar into their lives, he can't just be some random guy. He needs a history. A reason for them to hate him-or love him-before I even say a word. Give me the power to weave their pasts into the world's memory."

[System: Granting limited 'Historical Revisionism' for Avatar setup...]

I leaned back into the white void, and for the first time, it didn't feel like a prison. It felt like a stage.

Now it's Time For the Avatar customization.
