Illustrious raised her hand and deployed a spirit power barrier. The six missiles crashed into the barrier, causing ripples. The barrier was very solid; the missiles couldn't penetrate it and could only deform due to the counterforce, finally exploding in mid-air.
Seeing that the missiles couldn't attack this Spirit, Origami pulled out a laser blade and lunged at Illustrious.
Illustrious raised her sword and blocked the strike, and then the two of them began to trade slashes.

"That's a dish from a family restaurant; I'm afraid our 'establishment' cannot provide it."
Kotori started acting spoiled and cute until Shido finally agreed. "Then it's a promise! You must take me there. Even if a Spacequake comes, you still have to take me."
"If a Spacequake comes, we definitely have to evacuate. Forget about eating then, or you'll lose your life and won't be able to eat anything ever again." Shido shook his head... "That may be true, but it's really exhausting! Shouldn't the manager hire one more person?" Ayane said to a brown-haired middle-aged woman.
"You're right! If we add one more person, we'll be able to relax a bit more," Saori agreed.
The female manager said dissatisfiedly, "Haven't I already increased your wages? Why are you still grumbling? Look at Illustrious; she's a newcomer and hasn't complained at all! As her seniors, aren't you ashamed?"
"No, Manager, I think it is time to add someone, or we really will be worked to death," Illustrious suggested.
Ayane put her hands on her hips and said, "See, Manager? Illustrious says so too! Shouldn't you accept our suggestion?"
"Sigh! Why is even Illustrious like this now? Fine! If you want to add someone, that's okay, but the new person's salary will be deducted from yours." The female manager crossed her arms and looked down at the employees.
"Then never mind. Actually, I think the current number of people is enough. Am I right, Illustrious?" Ayane's attitude shifted instantly.
"Exactly! The workload is just right now! If we hire another person, wouldn't we have no work left to do?" Illustrious chimed in.
"The three of us are enough. Manager, whatever you do, don't hire anyone else, or we'll get angry with you." Saori became agitated; she had recently set her eyes on a dress and was desperate for money, so she couldn't let her wages decrease now.
