Belfast looked on with admiration. "Admiral! You're amazing, actually scaring off South Dakota with just the strength of a Gold-Plated Ship Girl."
Illustrious tilted her head back triumphantly. "You're just realizing that? Actually, I've always been this amazing; you just hadn't noticed."
"Swan! How about that, did you see? The person you were afraid of has been scared away by me!"
"Thank you, Illustrious. If I hadn't met you today, I would have been finished."
Illustrious became displeased. "Hmm! Why are you still calling me Illustrious? You should call me Admiral!"
Swan suddenly understood and laughed, then sweetly addressed Illustrious.
"Admiral!"
"Hahaha! That's a good girl!"
Having gained another ship, Illustrious was overjoyed.
"You must have suffered a lot lately. Come, I'll take you back to eat a delicious feast I've prepared!"
"A delicious feast!" Swan couldn't help but drool. She hadn't eaten well during her escape, and now she could finally have a good meal.
"Admiral, you can cook too?"
"Of course! My cooking is delicious. Everyone at the Naval Base says so."
Opening her cute eyes wide, Swan's face was full of admiration. She felt so lucky to have such a wonderful person as her Admiral!
Seeing Illustrious lie without blushing or her heart skipping a beat, Belfast's lip couldn't help but twitch.
Admiral! Your cooking is so bad that a single gram could poison a whale, yet you dare say everyone says it's delicious.
To prevent the new Ship Girl from dying a tragic death today, Belfast decided she had to stop Illustrious from cooking.
"Admiral! I think we should let Azuma do it. After all, you've been fishing all day; you must be exhausted."
Rolling her shoulders and stretching, Illustrious nodded. "I am a bit tired. Let Azuma do it then!"
Swan sighed in disappointment, unaware that Belfast had just saved her life.
After returning to the Naval Base, Illustrious introduced Swan to everyone. Upon learning that Swan was to become a new member of the base, everyone gave her a warm welcome.
And so, Swan officially joined the Illustrious Naval Base... August 2nd, 2015 AD.
The sky was clear and the weather was warm that day.
Illustrious was very satisfied with such a beautiful day. "It seems the heavens are giving me face by not raining on my wedding day."
She was getting married today, and to whom? To Azuma, of course!
Half a month ago, Illustrious finally plucked up the courage to propose to Azuma. She had been worried Azuma might refuse, but Azuma agreed immediately, as if afraid Illustrious would change her mind.
Seeing Azuma agree so quickly, Illustrious breathed a sigh of relief. Phew! Worried for nothing. Hahaha, it seems she was quite charming after all!
On a temporarily constructed outdoor altar stood a pair of newlyweds: one was Illustrious in a white suit, the other was Azuma in a wedding dress.
Azuma had actually wanted to wear the suit and have Illustrious wear the wedding dress so she could see Illustrious's beautiful appearance in it, but Illustrious refused no matter what, saying how could a dignified man wear a wedding dress.
Gazing at Illustrious's bountiful chest, Azuma really wanted to complain: with breasts that big, how could you be a man?
Standing opposite the couple was Belfast, dressed in a priest's outfit.
Picking up the Bible from the table, Priest Belfast looked serious on the outside, but her mind was racing. "Damn it! I was so close to winning Illustrious over, yet Azuma beat me to it."
Belfast wasn't the only one with such thoughts.
Most of the guests below the altar were Ship Girls who liked Illustrious. They had thought they might marry Illustrious in the future, but Azuma had gotten there first.
Biting her handkerchief, Shokaku was heartbroken. "Sob sob sob! Why? I was clearly here first!"
Seeing Illustrious already married, Zuikaku had no choice but to shift her target, and that person was her sister.
Grabbing Shokaku's slender hand, Zuikaku said affectionately, "Sister! Don't cry, you still have me."
Shokaku's eyes widened in disbelief. Sister! I treat you as a sister, but you want to get with me?
Pulling her hand back, Shokaku forced herself to stay calm and chuckled, "Zuikaku! You're quite the joker!"
"Sister, I'm serious."
Looking at Zuikaku, who was gazing at her with deep affection, Shokaku turned away slightly and ignored her.
Shokaku still liked Illustrious; continuing to push would only be counterproductive.
Seeing this, Zuikaku had to drop it for now.
Unicorn lowered her head, her expression dark, repeatedly muttering that 'Big Sister is mine'... U-chan, held by Unicorn, was terrified, as if afraid its owner might suddenly snap and use it as a punching bag. The thought made it afraid to even breathe loudly.
Holding a cloth, Ayanami was wiping her ship-slaying sword. Looking at the couple on stage, she grew angry. The surrounding Ship Girls were worried she might draw her sword and ruin the wedding at any moment.
Seeing the surrounding Ship Girls so dejected, Taihou looked on with disdain. "It's just Illustrious getting married, what's there to be so sad about?"
"Easy for you to say." Intrepid was quite indignant. "Forget it, you don't have anyone you like, so how could you understand how we feel?"
Taihou put her hands on her hips and retorted, "Who says I don't have someone I like?"
"Oh! You have someone you like? Who is it?"
"Hmph! You want to know? I'm not telling you."
Looking at Illustrious on the altar, Taihou couldn't help but lick her lips.
Ever since Illustrious put the Ring of Dominance on her, Taihou liked her more and more. She had already been molded into Illustrious's shape.
Looking at these losers, Taihou felt like she had won. After all, she was the one who took Illustrious's first time, and because of the Fire of Desire, she could find Illustrious to vent her heat one day every week.
Because Illustrious was afraid Taihou would find other Ship Girls in the Naval Base to vent her heat on, she decided to bear the pain herself in silence.
However, just having Illustrious's body wasn't enough for Taihou; she wanted her heart as well.
To win Illustrious's heart, it would be better to unite with others, otherwise she really couldn't beat Azuma.
Taihou encouraged everyone, "Don't lose heart, everyone. Even if Illustrious and Azuma are married, they might divorce due to emotional incompatibility. You'll have your chance then."
Upon hearing this, the Ship Girls who liked Illustrious had an epiphany.
Right! Who says there's no chance once they're married? Once they divorce, there will be!
The words struck home, and these people felt hope ignite once more.
Looking at the happy couple on stage, these people were all thinking about how to break them up after the wedding.
If Illustrious heard Taihou's words, she would surely be enraged. 'Good for you, Taihou, actually spreading such delusions here; you really are asking for a beating.'
Unfortunately, Illustrious didn't know. She was still immersed in the joy of the wedding, thinking that life after marrying Azuma would surely be even more happy and fulfilling.
