Chapter 62 - EPISODE 7: THE GOD OF EYES

The black moon hung over the Divine War Realm like a wound in the sky.

Its surface cracked with veins of darkness.

Cold laughter echoed across mountains, across burning plains, across the very air.

Saksham stood slowly.

Every instinct inside him screamed danger.

Beside him, Eltharos gripped his spear tighter than ever before.

The God of War had laughed through monsters, armies, and impossible battles.

Now he did not smile at all.

From the split black moon, a shadow descended.

Not falling.

Walking.

Walking down the sky itself.

Each step created ripples in space.

The figure wore a long silver robe covered in countless eye symbols.

Its face was hidden behind a smooth blindfold of black cloth.

Yet despite being blindfolded...

Saksham felt watched from every direction.

The figure touched the ground softly.

The battlefield became silent.

Even the storms above stopped moving.

Eltharos spoke first.

"Vaelthor."

The blindfolded figure smiled faintly.

"Still alive, old warrior?"

Eltharos snorted.

"Unfortunately for my enemies."

Saksham's eyes narrowed.

"This is the enemy?"

Vaelthor turned toward him instantly.

"No."

"My apologies, child."

"I am far more troublesome than an enemy."

Eltharos lowered his spear slightly.

"He is no servant of darkness."

"He is the God of Eyes."

Shock ran through Saksham.

Another god.

Vaelthor tilted his head.

"You expected halos and glowing speeches?"

Saksham replied calmly.

"I expected less dramatic entrances."

For one second—

Then Vaelthor laughed.

A soft, elegant laugh.

"I like him."

Eltharos groaned.

"Do not."

Vaelthor began walking circles around Saksham.

Though blindfolded, he avoided every crack in the ground perfectly.

"Hmm."

"Balanced mana."

"Battle scars forming nicely."

"Arrogance manageable."

"Potential irritatingly high."

Saksham frowned.

"Are you inspecting livestock?"

"Worse," said Vaelthor.

"I am evaluating a student."

Eltharos planted his spear.

"The enemy's gaze reached this realm."

"We need him stronger."

Vaelthor stopped.

"Yes."

"And brute force alone will fail."

He reached toward Saksham's face.

Saksham instinctively stepped back.

Vaelthor smiled.

"Good reaction."

"Terrible trust."

Without warning, Vaelthor snapped his fingers.

Darkness swallowed everything.

No sky.

No ground.

No sound.

Saksham stood alone in endless black.

Then eyes opened.

Millions of them.

Above.

Below.

Around him.

Every size.

Every shape.

Watching.

His breathing slowed.

Illusion.

Mental realm.

He closed his eyes.

The eyes laughed.

Voices whispered.

"You are weak."

"You are late."

"You will fail them."

"Your brother will die."

"Your friends will fall."

"Gods use you."

Saksham clenched his fists.

The whispers became screams.

Images appeared.

Aryan bleeding.

Elena crying.

Victor buried in stone.

Orion kneeling before darkness.

The academy burning.

His chest tightened.

Then a calm voice cut through all noise.

"What do you see?"

Vaelthor.

Saksham opened his eyes.

The millions of eyes stared back.

"I see lies."

"Good."

The darkness shattered.

Reality returned.

Eltharos stood nearby with arms crossed.

"One breath."

Saksham blinked.

"That was one breath?"

Vaelthor nodded.

"Mind and time are cousins."

He lifted one finger.

"Lesson one of the eyes."

"What you see controls you."

"What you understand cannot."

Saksham looked serious now.

"This training is mental."

Vaelthor smirked.

"And soon painful."

At the Royal Academy, Aryan was hanging upside down from a training beam.

"How is this helping me?!"

Elena sat below reading a book.

"It builds core strength."

"It builds suffering!"

Victor walked by eating fruit.

"She's right."

Aryan glared.

"You're both villains."

Roderic and other first-years trained nearby.

Though exhausted, Aryan refused to quit.

Every few moments he looked toward the horizon.

He could not explain why.

But he felt Saksham was fighting something terrible.

Back in the Divine War Realm, Vaelthor removed one side of his blindfold.

Only one eye was visible.

Saksham froze.

Inside that eye were rotating rings of silver symbols.

Galaxies moved within the pupil.

It was not an eye.

It was a universe pretending to be one.

"Look into it," Vaelthor said.

Eltharos immediately turned away.

"I hate this part."

Saksham held his ground and looked directly.

Pain exploded through his skull.

He staggered.

Memories burst open.

His childhood.

The temple.

The blessings.

Unknown symbols in dreams.

A woman's voice singing.

Hands lifting him as an infant.

A distant throne of light.

Then—

A giant eye opening in darkness.

Saksham screamed and dropped to one knee.

Blood ran from both eyes.

Vaelthor covered his eye again.

"Interesting."

Eltharos frowned.

"What did you see?"

Saksham breathed heavily.

"I... don't know."

That was true.

He remembered fragments only.

But one thing remained clear.

Something ancient had looked back at him.

Vaelthor's tone changed.

"The dormant line within you has begun stirring."

Saksham wiped blood from his face.

"The eye power?"

"Yes."

"But not gifted."

"Inherited."

Eltharos glanced sharply.

"So it is confirmed."

Vaelthor nodded once.

Saksham looked between them.

"You both knew?"

"We suspected," said Eltharos.

"We now know," said Vaelthor.

Saksham stood despite dizziness.

"Then tell me what I am."

Vaelthor smiled sadly.

"Not yet."

"First... earn the strength to hear it."

He raised both hands.

The sky tore open.

Twelve floating mirrors descended around Saksham.

Each mirror reflected a different version of him.

Child Saksham.

Broken Saksham.

Arrogant Saksham.

Dead Saksham.

King Saksham.

Monster Saksham.

Vaelthor's voice echoed.

"Lesson two."

"Defeat every self that can destroy you."

The mirrors shattered.

All twelve reflections stepped out holding weapons.

Eltharos grinned again.

"Now this looks fun."

Saksham exhaled slowly and raised the giant iron blade.

Blood still dripped from his eyes.

His reflections charged.

And somewhere beyond realms—

The black moon watched.
