Synopsis
What happens when a kid from a fantasy world gets memories of another world, where magic was just a myth and people played with technology instead of magic. They flew-not with magic, but with miracles created by their minds. But well, what does that have to do with me? I just want to live a new life in this world, far away from my painful past, with my little adopted sister. _---------------------------------------------------------_ Well, this is my first attempt, so give me some slack, you all.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Start of a Tale

There exists a planet named Eldoria, which is full of magical beings that have powers ranging from lighting fire on their hands to levelling mountains and even continents.

There exist numerous continents and different races like dwarfs, elves, humans, goblins, orcs, and beast people. Some mystical ones like fairies and others not found or secretly residing.

They might be different in race, but they now stand together after the war that changed everything.

There were multiple continents on the planet, but there used to be a single massive landmass on the planet where multiple races lived, and a war fragmented it - battles between countless high-ranking individuals of every race fighting for control.

The devastation was so great that the land shattered into smaller fragments.

That landmass broke apart into eight smaller continents, each still large enough to accommodate billions of people. These continents stabilized and settled like fractured pieces.

Though smaller than the original land, each still covered an area so vast that even the smaller ones rivalled the combined size of Earth's seven continents.

There are still a few continents left unexplored. Connecting all of them is an ocean of unimaginable size, filled with mystical and dangerous life forms that make travel nearly impossible.

However, since the fractured continents remained relatively close, crossing between them - while extremely dangerous - was still possible due to the terrain that formed and their proximity.

Now, the new generation, not wanting to accept more bloodshed and death, decided to put an end to it.

Together, all races formed an alliance and declared new laws. Mixed-blood individuals finally gained recognition and identity after being rejected by both sides of their heritage for so long.

In this world, every race begins life with the same life span. However, elves, who have natural talent in nature magic - even though they possess other talents also - can reach ranks that allow them to live for hundreds of years when they reach adulthood naturally.

Other races have their own traits. Nature did not betray them, as all races share the same initial life expectancy at birth. Their racial advantages simply allow them to reach different ranks by adulthood, which then increases their lifespan to varying degrees.

In the cold mountain range of the Adanele Continent, where humans hold major power, many countries exist. Some are ruled by nobles and kings, while others are governed by powerful individuals such as Mage Kings - rulers not noble by birth, but by strength and influence.

For example, the Mage King rules the High Magi Kingdom, famous for its ability to produce powerful mages. It was founded by a single mage who united all mages to create a haven for magical research and mages from all the human kingdoms.

Near the northern edge of this continent lies a kingdom called Seven, named after its warrior king, Mace Seven, who founded it. At the extreme north of this kingdom stands a fortress city known as Grave Del City.

This city was established to combat monsters and beasts that emerge from the sea or from the extreme northern forest known as Death Peak.

In this city, where frost blankets the land year-round, a massive fortress stands. Soldiers are stationed there, and in the training grounds, they practice swordsmanship in perfect synchronization. Flames trail their swords as they move.

"Stop! today we will end the session right now. Go back and prepare for few days. The beasts are getting unrest and might attack in few days. Get to your optimal health.", A knight with red hair, a little handsome face said.

He paused for few second for the words to get through every soldier below before continuing, "And, we need to be ready for anything, anything that's comes to us during that time", as he paused he looked at everyone, his gaze stilling at a certain kid for a second, who looked about 14 or 15 years old, before moving.

"Prepare to die, because you are the only defence this city has right now - the ones standing between those beasts and your families.", he finished and waited for words to settle.

After he finished, the soldiers shouted in unison, "Yes, sir!"

They watched as the knight turned around and returned to the castle.

Once he was out of sight, the soldiers exited through the fortress gates in orderly lines, departing toward their homes. Few spoke to one another, while others didn't - the weight of the knight's words hung heavily in the air.

Among them was the boy the knight had glanced at earlier. Adam is his name.

As he walked through the city streets, he looked around in wonder, muttering to himself,"I still can't believe I'm seeing magic… It's all so confusing - with how I got all these images… or should I call them memories?"

Adam has black hair with faint blonde ends and a simple haircut. He had a handsome face - something natural given his noble genes he got from his parents. Nobles were often involved in magic, knighthood, or Mystecraft.

While Mystecraft didn't involve magic the same way sorcery did, its practitioners followed a different path - focused on alchemy and crafting items useful to all races or fighting with runes.

As individuals advanced in any of these three paths and gained insight and success or advances further, their bodies gradually changes, becoming genetically superior versions of themselves.

So Adam's good looks were nothing unusual. His talent was also good in knighthood path but he still travelled to this city. This city - a place nobles rarely travelled to, as defence was usually handled by talented commoners.

(Note: This chapter is for setup, so explanations are included.)

Adam, however, was fed up with life back home. His mother - a woman who resembled him greatly - never acknowledged him. His father, the head of the family, viewed him only as a resource for power.

His mother had been forced into an arranged marriage and never loved his father. That resentment extended to Adam after he was born.

She accepted a student just to get rid of responsibilities regarding him when he was a child.

While she started caring of Adam with his soft and caring personality and his caring nature getting little by little to her. Her dislike for Adam's father never faded which stopped her from accepting him.

Adam tried everything - acting like a family, trying to make things work - but neither his father nor his mother cared.

That all fell apart though when he learned his father intended to send him to this fortress city to earn achievements for the family name.

By chance, Adam overheard the discussion. Hearing his mother say she didn't care where he went made everything clear. Everything he did or whatever he was doing was not going to work.

That night, as he slept, memories surfaced - memories of another world where he had lived until he was sixteen years old before dying from illness.

In those memories, he found peace. His past life parents were loving and caring - the complete opposite of this life.

In this world, the path of mages and warriors followed stages:Novice (Tier 1), Adept (Tier 2), Intermediate (Tier 3), Advanced (Tier 4), Master (Tier 5), Grandmaster (Tier 6), King (Tier 7)—and even higher, though those were nearly impossible to reach.

Adam's father, a peak Tier 5, didn't care about him. With a lifespan of at least a thousand years and the ability to take multiple wives as a noble, he could easily have more talented children.

Adam's mother had made it clear she would only bear one child - something both agreed upon in their arranged marriage by themselves.

She herself was a highly talented mage, already a Tier 6 Grandmaster. That also was a reason for his father's acceptance to this.

As days passed into a week, Adam finally came to terms with everything, that he might as well go away from here.

His father will have another heir, and then everything he had achieved even a little will amount to nothing. So he gave up and accepted the decision to come to this city.

Adam remembered arriving here two months ago, after deciding to leave a home where no one truly wanted him.

Now, after completing this final duty where he will pay his mother and father back for raising him, he planned to leave again - somewhere he could finally live in peace.

Something he couldn't achieve in either his past life…or this one.

As he thought of this, he started walking toward the large house he had rented for himself using the money he had saved up, which was quite a substantial amount.

The reason for choosing such a big house was his way of fighting for others - something he was never able to do in either of his lives.

Some children living in an orphanage were abandoned after the priest who ran it died, and seeing them, he adopted them for the time being, as the monsters were currently being held back from rampaging.

This month was the period when monsters attacked due to unrest in mana across the entire world, caused by certain weather or planetary phenomena.
