The old man nodded with a pleased look. "Ah, like the color. A beautiful name for a beautiful lady."
"You're too kind, Mr. Bauman." I smiled warmly.
His clouded eyes brightened a little. "Since Marc made the effort to bring you to us personally, it means you matter to him. He doesn't do that for just anyone."
"Hush, old man." Sophia gave him a firm look. "Don't go putting words in people's mouths and making things up."
Anthony grinned without a trace of shame. "The young have their own way of doing things. Even when we can see right through them, it's wiser to hold our tongues, or we'll only end up embarrassing them."
Sophia huffed. "Good that you know."
