The war has started.
The soldiers of Royal Empire have taken their positions and are marching towards us in layers.
Everything is according to Derono's predictions.
Martha is hiding in underground chamber while controlling her puppet which is positioned in sky.
There are also thousands of other puppets that she is controlling simultaneously.
Akashi is in deep sleep. Her body has many wounds. No healing portion is working on her. It looks like she won't live long.
Derono is kid, more like teen but today he is looking very very serious and adult like. Well he is always serious but that doesn't matter much.
That brat Rel is missing. Most probably Derono sent him with evacuated civilians, knowing Derono that is possible.
Jerius is determined, he sharpen his sword to peak.
I am too having my JUTE Sword with me. It is big, huge actually.
Just after the battle horn was blown, the battle started.
Derono watched it for sometime and then he created teleportation magic circle below us and Derono, me and Jerius were teleported to Royal Palace.
The war started.
We were running towards court room.
We were minimising our running speed to prevent sonic booms that are created from our speed.
Just after few moments we reached in the courtroom but the view wasn't pleasant at all.
Dead bodies lying here and there in the floor.
They are Sounders.
Maybe they too learnt about Mayor being demon and asked explanation to him and as a result, Mayor slaughtered them.
It was kind of terrifying. Not that all died but how they are killed.
Limbs ar thrown here and there, digits are missing, eyeballs are missing, muscles and tissues are torn, skull is crushed, skin and muscles of face are burnt badly and internal organs missing too.
My heart was beating faster seeing this.
Ok other hand Derono wa looking concerned about something else and then is when he speaks.
[Derono]: There are only 49 casualties.
What?! I never observed it. There were 50 Sounders are 49 are killed so what about the one that's alive? What he Demonified?
Just then clapping sound can be heard. We glanced at throne and it was Mayor.
He was still in his human form. He had a smirk on his face.
His face was giving me disgust now.
I already unsheathe my JUTE.
There are other shadowy figure behind Mayor. Wait, that wasn't human. It wasn't appearing as demon too for some reason.
The energy that creature was emitting was nothing like Earthling. Does that mean, it is Outerworlder (alien) that Derono was fighting against in future? Diary must have had mentioned it.
Before we can think of anything else, Mayor muttered few words that shook me to core.
'Dimension Open, Chaos World'.
Suddenly I felt my body is disintegrating. Derono and Jerius were disintegrating too but they were not panicking, but it was sure that Derono was at unease.
Before I can think about anything, I was already at different space time fibre. This is different world, a new dimension. This is looking like some illusion.
It was like Earth both many things were different.
It was like hell was summoned on Earth.
Dried trees, skulls of various animal, dark atmosphere, black clouds, lightnings and eclipse.
Derono and Jerius were also transported here.
Thank god.
Mayor was missing.
I am getting bad feeling about this.
Suddenly a huge lightning stroke on the ground and in the next moment it was Mayor.
He has transformed into his demon form.
It was huge, more than me. He was like 3 metres tall.
His skin was golden yellow with green spots and purple lines. His eyes red and his canine long. He grew two set of horns. I really mean two set.
Derono and Jerius took fighting stance alongside me.
Let's begin.
I threw myself towards Mayor with full strength but Mayor just deflected me away.
In that very instant, Jerius tried to slash Mayor's torso but Mayor quickly dodged it.
Derono appeared from above and kicked Mayor away.
It is sad to say that even when we attacked almost simultaneously, still Mayor just received one blow.
[Derono]: Let's force him to create an opening.
[Jerius]: Agreed.
"I just need to land my blow on him and then it's over for him. But...how will we escape this dimension after killing him?"
To my question Jerius looked at me with confused face. Looks like he didn't give a thought to it.
'Wait, what? Then how the hell are we supposed to leave this place? I thought you had plan' was my honest reaction.
[Derono]: I can create exit later.
"What if you died fighting him? How will we escape then?"
Now even Derono was staring at me with confused face.
Guys, stop that, we are in a fight.
Mayor was looking with annoyance. He couldn't take if further and launched a huge fire attack.
Jerius was not good against fire so he took cover behind me while I created a shield from my ability.
Derono...that guy doesn't need anything, his durability itself is his shield for now.
Thinking about it, I too don't need shield since I can survive 1000°C without much efforts too.
Mayor disappeared and suddenly appeared behind Derono.
"Derono!"
I screamed even though it was not necessary because Derono already had anticipated Mayor's movements and had set up a repelling spell in advanced.
Mayor's punch was thrown back to Mayor with same force.
[Derono]: Never show your back to your enemy was what taught me to use such moves.
Mayor who was thrown far away by his own punch's force stood up laughing.
[Mayor]: Your arrogance about being perfect is the only thing that will take you down.
While Mayor was barking his shit, Derono who had already prepared teleportation circle spell below my legs secretly teleported me behind Mayor and I landed my blow with full power.
Mayor hand was sliced away like butter though I aimed at his head.
Mayor has very fast reflexes.
Mayor jumped back at safe position.
[Mayor]: Hahaha...looks like I will have to take you all seriously.
Of course he isn't taking us seriously. I am confused.
Derono was concerned too. But he isn't among the ones who would accept defeat easily.
For next few minutes, he used his ability (SPACE JUMPER) like expert to teleport us at desired timings and at desired places.
We were synchronising perfectly. Jerius was forcing Mayor to create opening while Derono and I were shifting our positions to trade blows with Mayor.
It was all easy peasy until Mayor muttered those words.
[Mayor]: Demon Transformation, Naag Roopam.
Just after hearing those words Derono teleported Jerius, me and himself far away from Mayor.
I was feeling goosebumps, Earth was trembling, until now it was feeling like hell was summoned upon Earth, now it is feeling like it was always hell.
Mayor disappeared.
He was barely injured if we take his regeneration in account.
Derono was sweating. He knew something about this transformation.
Wait...this means the demon form of Mayor wasn't his real transformation, that was just his pseudo demon form.
No...this is serious problem.
While I was thinking about it, Derono glanced at us and smiled.
It was not looking good, something is fishy... suddenly Jerius and I were teleported back to Royal Palace.
Wait...Derono will take that guy alone?!! That idiot!!!
[Jerius]: Looks like Derono is planning to take down Mayor alone while we will be participating here.
I clenched my fists angrily.
But Derono's action according to situation was right.
"I understand. Believing that Outerworlder and Bronze Knight are still here, this was wise decision."
But taking down Bronze Knight is not possible even for me and Jerius. Also we don't know where Outerworlder disappeared.
While thinking about it, suddenly many soldiers surrounded us in the courtroom.
"Looks like we have some guests."
[Jerius]: However I won't be treating them as guests.
"Neither I think I will."
After this conversation we started masscare of the soldiers.
In next few seconds , hall was filled with corpses of those soldiers.
My JUTE is blood thirsty afterall.
Just then a shiny figure walked infront of us.
Jerius tensed.
It was Bronze Knight.
It was exactly when we heard weird noises behind us. When I turned to see I was shocked.
Some demons were devouring the dead soldiers. Jerius who saw this was shocked himself. More like disgusted.
Now I understand why the bodies of Sounders that were before we teleported are now nowhere to be seen.
These demons devoured dead bodies and now have evolved to Superior Demons.
[Jerius]: This is...
"I never gave it a thought..."
We have been cornered. I don't know what is happening on the battlefield, I don't know what is happening on other Dimension where Derono is fighting,I don't know what shall we do. I am lost. I quickly look at Jerius and speak.
"You make it to battlefield and assist Martha. I will take here. I have a plan ."
I smiled and gave him a thumbs up.
Jerius tried to argue but hearing about me having a plan, he just swallowed his complaint and rushed through a opening from behind because infront of us was Bronze Knight and escape was not an option.
I was having my eyes focused on Bronze Knight. I am alone now. Demons were barking at me from behind. Maybe roaring not that I care.
[Bronze Knight]: You have courage boy. However I don't have enough time to waste on you. I will land my my powerful blow on you.
Looks like this is end for me. Life is unfair sometimes.
I activated my strongest shield ability to counter it and it was exactly when Bronze Knight unleashed his technique.
[Bronze Knight]: SWORD STYLE ZERO, A THOUSAND SLASHES.
Suddenly I started feeling dizzy. Pain itched through my body.
Multiple Shield magic spells all broken.
He pierced through everything. My whole body was bleeding.
I lost my one eye. JUTE was also broken in two parts.
It's a wonder he pierced through so many barriers.
I am losing my consciousness. Looks like I am dying.
I realised that I am being dragged along the floor my Bronze Knight. He was dragging my motionless body towards a chamber.
He threw me inside that dark chamber.
Demons will soon start gathering beside me to eat me. My blood will attract them.
Yes, all I can see is blood and my broken sword.
Looks like I was never strong afterall. A dead weight to the team. That brat Rel , I wanted...to apologise him for being rude.
I wanted to apologise to Jerius that I ate his snacks this morning.
I wanted to apologise to Derono that even in this timeline, I died.
I heard a voice.
'Just wake up already,I don't want to keep lying in this chamber!'
Looks like I am entering hell.
'Are you deaf you idiot!'
Hearing this voice second time I opened my only eye to see nothing but my sword shining.
The voice is coming from sword.
I can now see the humanoid spirit of my sword JUTE. She is pretty.
My sword which was broken few moments ago was fully repaired.
'I don't like this place. Can we go outside? I have accepted you as my weilder.'
Hearing these words, I stood up. My body was still bleeding. But as soon as I weilded JUTE I recovered all my wounds. My healing ability which was nullified was useless to heal me but it wasn't applicable for JUTE.
However I didn't recover my lost eye. This means there are some limitations.
