Chapter 1 - The Bottle Full of Stars

In a quiet corner of a small village lived a boy named Arin. He didn't talk much. When people asked him questions, he would just smile and say,

"I listen to the sounds of the sky."

The villagers thought he was a little strange. Mostly because Arin had an unusual hobby — he collected empty glass bottles. Big ones, small ones, wide, narrow — all kinds.

And every night, he took those bottles out to the open field.

One evening, a curious girl from next door named Mira decided to follow him.

The field was calm. Crickets chirped in the dark. The sky was overflowing with stars.

Mira hid behind a tree and watched — Arin lifted a bottle toward the sky… held it there for a moment… then slowly closed the lid.

She couldn't hold back anymore. She stepped forward and asked,

"What are you doing?"

Arin answered calmly,

"I'm filling bottles with stars."

Mira burst out laughing. "Stars don't go into bottles!"

Arin handed her the bottle.

"Open it. But do it with intention."

Mira rolled her eyes but opened it anyway.

A soft blue light floated out. It shimmered in the air and slowly formed a scene.

She saw herself from five years ago, crying because her beloved cat had gone missing. Then she saw her father lifting her into his arms and saying,

"Not everything that gets lost is gone forever. Some things just move out of sight."

The vision faded.

Mira's eyes filled with tears.

"How… how did you do that?"

Arin looked up at the sky.

"When people feel something deeply — sadness, love, hope — those feelings rise into the sky. They become stars. I just collect them."

"Everyone's memories?"

"The ones people forget… even though forgetting them would be a loss."

From that night on, Mira joined Arin. Together they filled bottles —

One held the memory of an old woman's first love letter,

One carried the regret of a brother who never said sorry,

Another contained the moment someone made the bravest decision of their life.

Then one night, Arin didn't come to the field.

Mira ran to his house and learned he had fallen ill and gone to the city for treatment.

In his room, she found a wooden box filled with bottles. On top lay a note.

It said:

"If one day I'm not here, return these stars to people. So they can remember — they were once brave, they loved deeply, they truly lived."

Years passed.

Mira grew up and became a teacher at the village school.

Whenever a child said,

"I can't do anything right,"

Mira would open a bottle at night.

Blue light would rise and show —

that same child once stood up to protect a friend,

once overcame a fear,

once helped someone without expecting anything in return.

The children would whisper in amazement,

"Is this magic?"

Mira would smile and say,

"No. It's your own light. You just forgot it was there."

And in the sky that night…

one new star would shine just a little brighter. 🌟
