The convoy of Rolls-Royces left the Golden Hall and drove along the coastal highway.
A storm was brewing. Thunder rumbled in the distance, and heavy rain pounded against the bulletproof windows.
Inside the car, Victor swirled his wine glass, his expression calm. Grace Su sat beside him, looking a bit worried about the system warning Victor had mentioned (indirectly).
Suddenly.
SCREECH!
The lead car slammed on the brakes. The entire convoy came to a halt.
"What's happening?" Alfred asked through the intercom.
"Sir! There is... there is an old man standing in the middle of the road!" the driver of the lead car reported, his voice trembling. "He... he stopped the car with one hand!"
"Oh?" Victor smiled. "He's finally here."
Victor opened the door and stepped out into the pouring rain. An invisible barrier (Telekinesis) covered his body, keeping him perfectly dry while the rain fell around him.
Ten meters away, an old man in a grey Daoist robe stood in the middle of the highway. He had long white hair and a beard, looking like an immortal from a fantasy movie. One hand was pressed against the hood of the lead Rolls-Royce, which was dented inward.
This was Grandmaster Lei, the head of the Heavenly Thunder Sect.
"Are you Victor Cheyne?"
Grandmaster Lei opened his eyes. A flash of lightning seemed to crackle within them. His voice was loud enough to be heard over the thunder.
"You crippled my disciple, Lin Feng. You insulted my sect. Today, I am here to take your head."
The bodyguards immediately rushed out, aiming their guns at the old man.
"Shoot!" Alfred screamed.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Dozens of bullets flew toward the old man.
Grandmaster Lei sneered. "Ignorant mortals."
He waved his sleeve. A wall of invisible "Qi" erupted. The bullets hit the air wall and froze, then fell to the ground like useless pebbles.
"Bulletproof?" The bodyguards were terrified. This was beyond human understanding!
"Hahaha!" Grandmaster Lei laughed arrogantly. "In the face of absolute power, your money and toys are useless! Die!"
He stomped on the ground. The asphalt road cracked. He flew toward Victor like a cannonball, his palm glowing with blue lightning energy.
"Die, brat!"
Grace screamed from the car window. "Victor! Run!"
Victor didn't run. He stood there, holding his cane, looking bored.
"Qi? Catching bullets?" Victor shook his head. "Old man, your tricks are outdated."
Just as Grandmaster Lei's palm was about to hit Victor's face...
Victor lifted one finger.
[System Activation: Advanced Telekinesis (Level MAX)]
"Kneel."
BOOM!
An invisible force, heavy as a mountain, descended from the sky.
Grandmaster Lei felt like the entire sky was collapsing on him. His attack was instantly broken. His knees buckled uncontrollably.
CRACK!
The asphalt beneath his knees shattered into powder. The majestic Grandmaster was forced to kneel in front of Victor!
"What... what is this sorcery?!" Grandmaster Lei roared, his face flushed red. He tried to circulate his internal energy to stand up, but the pressure only got heavier.
"Sorcery?" Victor walked forward slowly. "This is called talent. Something you can't buy, even with money."
Victor placed the tip of his shoe under the Grandmaster's chin (just like he did with Bella).
"You said money is useless?"
Victor took out a checkbook from his pocket, wrote a number, and threw it at the Grandmaster's face.
"Here is 10 million. For your medical bills."
"You... you humiliate me!" Grandmaster Lei spat blood. "My sect will not forgive you! I have thousands of disciples..."
"No, you don't," Victor interrupted.
He took out his phone and showed a live video feed to the old man.
On the screen, the "Heavenly Thunder Sect" deep in the mountains was in flames. Hundreds of armed mercenaries (funded by Victor) and combat drones were destroying the sect.
"Times have changed, old man," Victor said coldly. "While you were hiking down the mountain, I sent a private army to your home."
"Kung Fu is fast. But missiles are faster."
Grandmaster Lei's eyes widened in despair. His sect... his legacy... destroyed in minutes?
"You... you are a demon..."
"Thank you for the compliment."
Victor snapped his fingers.
Snap.
The telekinetic force tightened instantly.
Grandmaster Lei didn't even have time to scream. His neck snapped. The legendary Grandmaster fell into the mud, dead.
[Ding!] [Mission Accomplished: Slay the Grandmaster.] [Reward: 20,000 Destiny Points.] [Reward: 'Thunder Breathing Technique' (Absorbed automatically).] [The 'Martial Arts World' Arc is completed.]
Victor turned around. The rain stopped as if fearing his presence.
He walked back to the car. Grace and Bella looked at him as if he were a god.
"Let's go home," Victor said, closing the door. "I'm tired of playing with kids."
