Chapter 23 - VOLUME 002: CHAPTER TWENTY TWO: AMAZON WILDERNESS

Tsukimi was in his skeletal form being chased down by a group of forest elves. He was moving relatively slow for his form and it seemed like the elves were approaching him steadily. A mental message was sent by Skelvar," Hurry up with the mangoes, it's almost breakfast time."

" Easy for you to say. You're not the one being chased by forest elves having not slept for a days," said Tsukimi.

" Oh relax. Being in your skeleton form stops any urge to sleep so you are doing good. And it looks like you are getting better at communication in that form. You always complained that you couldn't speak without vocal chords but you are getting better at vibrating your bones to communicate. Just hurry up. Over and out," said Skelvar greatly annoying Tsukimi.

The elves started to shoot arrows that passed between his bones. That was the last straw. He activated the spell he had been weaving during the chase that completely strips the air of it's mana. Elves breath in oxygen having traces of mana but if you took that mana away, they would all suffocate. The elves started to suffocate and so decided to retreat. Tsukimi stopped and looked at them retreating. One of the elves stopped and glared at him. Her green eyes shimmering in the Amazon sunrise. She glared at Tsukimi for a while until he broke into a laughter that got to her nerves so much she took off faster. That was the captain of the scouting unit in the elven village and she had a deep hatred for Tsukimi.

Once they were out of sight, he cut the mana circuit to the spell and took a dive into the Amazon river. He followed the current and and found himself somewhere near the edge of South America. He got out, his bones dripping with water. He was annoyed and even complained that he had to do this every morning before training. Sylvia was there waiting for him with a change of clothes for him and she was accompanied by other female dark elves. They were blushing as they watched Tsukimi dress himself. Once the clothes were on his bones, he regenerated his flesh and organs.

His body gradually came into existence and he was more muscular than before. Kevlar came with Skelvar on tow. He had on his elven ears but glowing red eyes similar to Skelvar's. The aim was a morning picnic and Skelvar was the pack mule. They sat down and had their breakfast of forest fruits and bacon and eggs. Skelvar started to give Tsukimi the run down." Today I want you to go to the southern forest market and get a dragon tooth necklace from the mountain elves. Do whatever follows from there and try to survive," said Skelvar.

" What about my training?" Tsukimi asked," You've only taught me self-control and spell weaving."

" And communication and transformation. That is all you need to survive. Also, I want you to transform you ears to mountain elf ones. Good luck and don't get captured," said Skelvar.

" You can't be serious. Why now?" Tsukimi asked.

" Because the blood week begins tomorrow and an old friend promised to help out in this adventure this century so you won't be alone. And if you meet any non racist elves, lucky you. If they catch you, you eyes alone will lead to you being tortured for life. I will not be blamed for whatever happens," explained Skelvar hugging Kevlar who was chugging down bacon.

Tsukimi was instantly annoyed. Skelvar's half human face was smirking at him but he could not prove it. Tsukimi have a sigh and thanked them for the food. He walked back o the house owned by the couple and grabbed the few clothes he was given and put them in his organic backpack. He got out and did a few stretches. A dark elf boy around his 'age' walked upto him and asked," Hey there Tsu, I heard that you are heading to the market today on an adventure in the elven lands. Can I at least take you to the market?"

" I don't mind it really. Just keep up Brandon," said Tsukimi zombifying his limbs.

" I fall off once and you hold it over me, huh," said Brandon in exasperation.

" By the way, I hope you sister isn't going to tail is this time," said Tsukimi leaning his head to face Brandon like a zombie.

" No way, I left her preparing to go hunting with father," answered Brandon doing some stretches.

" For your sake, I hope you are right," said Tsukimi," Let's go."

Tsukimi and Brandon vanished. They later appeared in the tall trees. They were jumping from tree to tree at mach three. It was pretty impressive. The passed over some animals drinking by the river. A flying snake flew by Brandon's face and knocked him off course a bit. He nearly fell to his doom but was saved by a furry vine. Only to find out that that the vine was a spider monkey. The monkey howled loudly alerting the whole forest." You know, for an elf, you sick at tree transportation," Tsukimi said speeding up.

A troupe of spider monkeys began chasing after them. Tsukimi was honestly annoyed. He jumped into the air and skelefied his throat. All that was left was the bone. He vibrated the skeletal muscle and created crazy vibrations. He took in a deep breath and screeched at them. The screech sound was loud enough to blow away the leaves on the trees. It blasted the monkeys a few metres away. This led to the two stopping a bit away for a break. Brandon was panting for his life as Tsukimi quickly regenerated his throat.

He knows that what he just did would alert a group he did not want to cross then. As soon as he was fully healed, he told Brandon that they should go only to hear some rustling in the bushes. They turned to look at it nervously but it turned out to be a dizzy spider monkey. They sighed in relief only to hear someone call out." What did you do dark elves?" asked the voice that Tsukimi knew all too well.

He covered his face instantly with a mask. He turned to face the assailant and it turned out to be the captain of the scouting unit in of the forest elves. She asked the question again with intimidation and approached them. Brandon said," we just got into a small incident with the spider monkeys and my amigo here helped to calm them down."

" So you are the one who dealt with them," she said looking him in the eye," You look familiar. Could you remove your mask?"

" Umm," Tsukimi hesitated.

" Is there a problem undead elf?" She asked.

Tsukimi gave a sigh and removed the mask slowly.

Once the mask was down, she and her squad of female elves gasped.
