That massive and deformed body stepped completely out of the torn elevator shaft, every step making the solid metal floor groan under its weight.

Beneath its pale, almost translucent skin were morbidly swollen muscle fibers, knotted and twisted like countless thick pythons squeezed under a single skin.

That exposed, massive, and ominous heart was like a living backpack of flesh and blood, forcibly fixed to its spine by numerous thick blood vessels and twisted tendons.

Every beat produced a dull, powerful "thump, thump" sound, pumping unknown energy filled with a desire for destruction throughout the entire body.

And its most striking feature was the two dark red tentacles, several meters long, extending from the ends of its arms.

It wasn't flesh, but more like a hybrid creation of keratin and muscle, its surface covered with fine, suction-cup-like structures, currently dragging on the ground and squirming restlessly, rubbing against the metal floor with a scalp-numbing "rustling" sound.

"This guy doesn't look like the Tyrant in the files... damn, it's ugly."

Bruce subconsciously took half a step back, feeling his throat go dry, and couldn't help but curse in a low voice.

The sense of oppression the monster before him brought far exceeded any B.O.W. he had encountered before.

It wasn't just simple power, but a distortion and malice in its design philosophy, as if the creator had poured all their twisted tastes into this creation.

Phoenix Bell's breathing wasn't disturbed in the slightest; she quickly formed the flank of a triangular defensive formation, her mp5 submachine gun steadily pointed at the monster's relatively normal-looking head.

Noah stood at the apex of the formation, his gaze falling on the massive exposed heart.

He could feel that it was the energy hub of the entire monster, but at the same time, it was protected by layers of the strongest muscle tissue and bone structure.

Just as the three of them locked onto their respective targets,

That T-091 Tyrant didn't let out any roar; instead, those two python-like tentacles, like two springs that had been wound up for a long time, tore through the air in an instant, with a sharp whistling sound, whipping towards Phoenix Bell and Bruce from left and right!

The speed was so fast that it even left two blurry dark red afterimages in the air!

"Get out of the way!"

Noah gave a low shout, and before his voice had even faded, he had already glided back several meters like a piece of drifting fluff, easily dodging the tentacle's attack range.

Phoenix Bell and Bruce performed standard tactical rolls to either side.

The two tentacles slammed heavily into the spot where they had just been standing, leaving two terrifying dents several inches deep in the hard alloy floor, with shattered metal fragments flying everywhere, making a crisp "clink-clank" sound.

Having missed its strike, the T-091 Tyrant's thick legs kicked hard against the ground.

Its massive body actually leaped high with an agility completely inconsistent with its size, crashing down towards Bruce, who had just steadied himself!

Bruce's pupils shrank; he could almost smell the heavy stench of mixed disinfectant and rotting flesh coming from the monster.

Without thinking, he performed a desperate roll, scrambling away to the side.

"Boom!"

The Tyrant's heavy body slammed into the ground, causing the entire room to shake violently. The lights on the ceiling flickered a few times, making a "zizi" electrical sound as if they would go out at any moment.

"Damn it!"

Bruce cursed angrily. Taking advantage of the Tyrant's landing lag, he knelt on one knee, aimed his large-caliber handgun at the Tyrant's back, and pulled the trigger without hesitation.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Three.45 caliber bullets, carrying Bruce's fury, accurately struck the muscles surrounding the Tyrant's beating heart.

However, hitting that pale skin only caused it to dent slightly, and then the bullets were bounced off by that exceptionally tough muscle tissue, without leaving even a decent wound.

"Damn! Its skin tissue density is too high!" Bruce growled while quickly looking for a new shooting angle.

On the other side, Phoenix Bell had already circled to the Tyrant's side, her mp5 submachine gun spitting out controlled bursts of fire.

"Da-da-da! Da-da-da!"

She didn't choose to spray; instead, with precise three-round bursts, she sent all the bullets into the Tyrant's knee joints and the connections between its arms and torso.

The skin in these areas was relatively thin.

The bullets tore through the pale skin and burrowed into the muscle, bringing out small sprays of blood.

"Aow..."

The Tyrant finally let out a low, beast-like roar of pain.

It spun around, its emotionless eye locking onto Phoenix Bell, who kept harassing it, and one of its tentacles swept out like lightning!

Phoenix Bell had anticipated this; she had already started moving the moment she fired. The tentacle brushed past her body and slammed heavily into the control console wall behind her.

"Crash!"

An entire row of LCD screens and precision instruments were smashed to pieces by this strike, with electrical sparks flying everywhere and a pungent burnt smell.

Noah had not yet made a move.

He just moved around the edge of the battlefield, calmly observing every movement of the Tyrant.

Jumping, heavy landing strikes, dual-tentacle sweeps, single-tentacle thrusts... its attack patterns were simple, crude, and full of power, but lacked intelligence and variety.

Like a strongman who only knew how to swing a hammer, it had power but no technique to speak of.

After several consecutive attacks were narrowly avoided by Phoenix Bell and Bruce using their speed and the terrain, the Tyrant seemed to be enraged by these two annoying "flies."

The heart on its back began to beat much faster, the "thump! thump! thump!" sounding like a war drum.

It suddenly stabbed both tentacles deep into the ground, using them as a pivot. Its massive body actually flipped into the air like a gymnast, its thick legs tracing a terrifying arc in the air as it kicked hard towards Bruce, who was changing his magazine!

This strike was fast and fierce, completely catching Bruce off guard.

He watched helplessly as those two giant soles rapidly enlarged in his vision, the shadow of death instantly enveloping him.

At this critical moment, a figure appeared before him like a ghost.

Noah had moved there at some unknown point. Facing that mountain-like kick, he neither dodged nor blocked.

He simply lifted his right foot slowly and then kicked upward with a speed that seemed slow but was actually extreme.

"Bang!"

A dull, extreme boom exploded between the two.

Noah's foot accurately collided with the sole of the Tyrant's kicking foot.

The scene Bruce had imagined of himself being kicked into meat paste didn't happen.

What he saw was the Tyrant's massive body suddenly stalling in mid-air, as if it had hit an invisible wall.

Immediately after, a visible shockwave radiated outwards from the point of contact between their feet!

The Tyrant's massive body was actually kicked backward, flying through the air!

It tumbled twice in mid-air and slammed heavily into the metal wall several meters away, creating a massive dent in the thick alloy wall before sliding to the ground.

The entire Main Control Room fell into silence at that moment.

Bruce stared dumbfoundedly at Noah, who was standing in front of him slowly retracting his leg, his mind a complete blank.

What did he just see?

A person... kicked a monster weighing several hundred pounds flying?

Phoenix Bell also stopped shooting. In her eyes, which were usually as calm as an ancient well, a rare ripple appeared.

Noah ignored their shock; he just flexed his ankle and then issued a new command through the tactical headset.

His voice remained calm, without a hint of emotion.

"This thing is just a crudely made semi-finished product with a monotonous attack pattern and crude power control."

"Its heart is the engine and also its weakness, but it's well-protected by muscle and bone. Direct attacks won't be very effective."

Noah paused, his gaze sweeping over the Tyrant struggling to get up from the ground.

"Its energy supply depends on several main arteries connected to the heart on its back. Find a way to cut them, and this thing will become a pile of waste."

"You two, team up and take care of it."

After saying that, Noah didn't even give the Tyrant another look, turning and walking quickly toward the area deep in the Main Control Room labeled "Missile Launch Control Center."

"Wait!" Bruce finally snapped out of his shock and shouted at Noah's back, "You... where are you going? The two of us are supposed to deal with this thing?"

Although Noah had pointed out the weakness, cutting blood vessels on the back of a berserk monster sounded like performing eye surgery on a charging rhino—full of uncertainty.

"I'm going to handle more important matters."

Noah's voice came from ahead, without him turning back.

"This is an order."

Hearing the word "order," Bruce swallowed the rest of his words.

He glanced at Phoenix Bell, who had already raised her gun again with intense focus, and could only sigh helplessly before raising his own handgun.

"Fine, fine, since he's the boss," Bruce muttered to himself to cheer up.

"Isn't it just an ugly freak? Come on, baby, let Uncle Bruce give you a heart bypass surgery!"

The Tyrant had stood up again, shaking its somewhat dizzy head, seemingly filled with confusion and anger at the kick it just received.

It locked its target once more on these two tiny humans who still dared to provoke it... Noah soon arrived at the Missile Control Center.

The thick alloy door was tightly closed.

He didn't waste time, taking a small piece of Plastic Explosive from his tactical pouch, skillfully placing it at the core of the door lock, setting the detonation time, and then quickly backing away.

"Boom!"

A dull explosion sounded, and an irregular gap was blasted into the door.

Noah slipped inside.

In the room, there was only the low "humming" of servers running.

On the massive main screen, it wasn't the red numbers representing a launch countdown as he had expected.

Instead, it was a striking line of green English text.

[LAUNCH SEQUENCE: ABORTED.]

[OVERRIDE CODE: M-D-D.]

[System STATUS: STANDBY.]

Launch sequence: Aborted.

Override code: Morpheus D. Duval.

System status: Standby.

Noah raised an eyebrow slightly.

The terrorist himself... canceled the launch?

This was completely illogical.

Unless he had achieved a goal more important than extorting five billion dollars, or he had a new ally and changed his original plan.

Noah immediately stepped forward, his fingers moving rapidly across the cold control console.

He didn't try to restart or completely destroy the System but instead pulled up the ship's log and destination information.

Data scrolled rapidly across the screen, and finally, a sea chart emerged.

A coordinate marked with a red dot appeared in a pitch-black area of the sea.

It was a lonely island in the deep Atlantic that wasn't marked on any public maps.

And below this "Spencer," there was a smaller signal source rapidly leaving the ship's hull, heading towards that lonely island.

It was an Escape Pod.

Morpheus had escaped.

He had abandoned this cruise ship full of his "artworks" and gone alone, carrying the authority to override the launch sequence, to a secret base.

Noah instantly understood the key to the matter.

This terrorist attack might have been a smokescreen from the very beginning.

Morpheus's real purpose might have been to use this incident as cover to escape, transferring to a safer Hive.

Or perhaps he had reached a deal with some mastermind.

He immediately activated the highest-encryption communicator on his person and reported the situation here in a series of complex codes.

"Target 'Spencer', main threat neutralized by Morpheus himself. Target has escaped by speedboat, heading to coordinates XXX.XXX, presumed secret research base. Requesting instructions."

A few seconds later, the encrypted communicator vibrated, and a new line of code appeared on the screen.

"Information received. Threat level downgraded. Primary mission changed to ensuring the safe evacuation of squad members. Repeat, ensure safe evacuation."

High-level officials from both China and the US were briefly confused upon receiving this sudden news.

Although they didn't know about the dirty deal between Simmons and Morpheus, at least the sword hanging over their heads had temporarily disappeared.

This was a good result.

Putting away the communicator, Noah turned and walked back toward the Main Control Room.

When he passed through the gap blasted in the door and returned to the hall, the battle was over.

That T-091 Tyrant lay face down on the ground, motionless.

On its back, that once-mighty massive heart was now shriveled and withered, like a deflated ball.

Several main arteries connected to the heart had been cleanly severed. Black blood pooled on the floor, emitting a stench of blood mixed with rotting flesh.

Bruce was sitting on the ground, leaning against a pillar, panting heavily.

His combat suit was slashed in several places, and his face was stained with grime and blood. He looked a mess, but his eyes were filled with the excitement of having survived.

Phoenix Bell stood nearby, changing the magazine of her mp5 submachine gun.

Her movements were still steady, but her slightly heaving chest and the fine beads of sweat on her forehead showed that she had just been through a fierce battle.

Seeing Noah come out, Bruce looked up and grinned, revealing two rows of white teeth.

"You're finally out. Well, is that thing taken care of?"

Noah nodded.

"Threat neutralized, mission accomplished."
