"Madam Olivia stepped forward and folded her hands. 'Everything is settled, so we'll take our leave now. Thank you for your time, Agent Ezekiel."
"Thank you for taking my measurements," I said with a slight bow, waving as they left the room.
"Don't forget to rate Grim Stalkers!" the Captain yelled after them at the door.
"You really went to the door just to tell them to rate us, Captain?" I said, sighing.
"We're back in action now and will start accepting cases again," the Captain replied, grinning. "Since I recruited you."
Before I could respond, the flat-screen TV in the room suddenly turned on. A news anchor appeared, standing in front of a holographic scene.
"Breaking news," the anchor began.
"Twenty-three Hapies were eliminated earlier at midnight. The case took place inside a nightclub where illegal activity was discovered."
The screen showed the nightclub marked with caution tape.
"Thanks to the efforts of the Grim Stalkers Squad, the operation was successfully solved," the anchor continued. "The Sentinel Extermination Corps confirmed that the team worked together and saved the missing victims in the club."
Captain crossed his arms and smiled proudly.
The news anchor then showed people wearing protective gear. "During the search, the non-system agents discovered 45 eggs hidden in a secret basement beneath the nightclub. The items were safely secured for further investigation and will be kept safely by the Corps until they are sent abroad for study."
I blinked. "Forty-five eggs… in a basement?"
The anchor nodded on screen. "Officials have confirmed that the Grim Stalkers Squad is now officially active again and back in action."
