The sand crunches beneath my feet as I jump up and down like a maniac, pumping my fist toward the evening sky. Route 19's beach looks exactly the same as when I first washed up here, golden sand, salty breeze, but everything else has changed.
"We did it, bro! We actually freaking did it!" I shout, my voice probably carrying all the way to Cinnabar Island. "Elite Four, crushed! Lance's Dragonite? Demolished! And it's all thanks to you, my dude!"
Kye floats majestically in the shallow water beside me, his massive blue form glistening in the sunset. He lets out one of those deep rumbling sounds that I've learned means he's pleased. For a legendary Pokémon who could probably sink continents if he wanted to, he's surprisingly chill about my victory dance.
"Remember when we first met? I was just some confused guy from Boston with no clue how I ended up in Kanto, and you were just... well, you were always awesome, but now everyone knows it!"
Kye dips his head, those intelligent eyes fixed on me with an intensity that sometimes feels a little much. He's been like that since day one, super protective. Which, honestly, has been clutch in this weird world where dudes are treated like we're made of glass.
"Those ladies at the Pokémon League couldn't believe a guy without a female protector made it that far." I laugh, splashing into the water to pat his side. "Their faces when you came out of your Poké Ball! Priceless, man. Absolutely priceless."
Kye makes a sound that's almost like a purr and nudges me with his giant head. For a second, I lose my balance and nearly face-plant into the ocean, but he quickly steadies me with one of his fins.
"Whoa, easy there, big guy! I know you're excited too." I grin up at him. "Who needs a Guardian when I've got the literal god of the ocean watching my back, right?"
The sea around us seems to vibrate as Kye rumbles in agreement. Sometimes I swear he understands every word I say. Other times, I catch him staring at me when he thinks I'm not looking, with this expression I can't quite figure out.
"So what's next for the championship duo? Johto? Hoenn? Sinnoh? The world?" I spread my arms wide, feeling invincible. "Whatever it is, we're facing it together, right bro?"
Kye's eyes narrow slightly, and he makes that possessive growling sound that usually happens whenever other trainers, especially female ones, get too close to me. I've gotten used to it. That's just how he rolls.
Suddenly, the peaceful beach night gets absolutely wrecked as something streaks across the sky and slams into the sand about thirty feet away. The impact kicks up a mini explosion of sand that rains down on my victory pose.
"What the…" I don't even finish before another flaming rock smacks down closer to the water line. Then another. And another. They start glowing this weird red-yellow color that definitely doesn't feel normal for regular meteors.
"Yo, Kye, you seeing this?" I point toward the impacts, my championship celebration completely forgotten. The biggest one yet comes screaming down from above, crashing into the beach off to our right with enough force that I feel the vibration through my sneakers.
"I gotta check this out!" I take off running toward the nearest impact site, my curiosity completely overriding any sense of self-preservation. The sand shifts under my feet as I sprint, making it harder than it should be. "C'mon, Kye! Might be some space rock we can sell to Professor Oak or something!"
I'm about fifteen feet from the closest glowing rock when I hear the most bone-chilling sound behind me, Kye is making a noise I've never heard before. Not a rumble or a growl, but a high-pitched, almost human-like scream.
Spinning around, I nearly fall on my ass at what I'm seeing. Kye's massive blue body is hovering partially out of the water, but he's... changing. His whole form is glowing with the same eerie light as the meteors, pulsing and shifting like he's made of liquid instead of solid matter.
"Kye! Buddy! What's wrong?" I shout, genuine panic rising in my chest as I sprint back toward him. "Talk to me! What's happening?"
The light gets so bright I have to shield my eyes with my arm. The air feels electric, like right before a thunderstorm, and there's this weird pressure building, making my ears pop.
When the light finally dims enough for me to look, I can't believe what I'm seeing. Where my massive legendary Pokémon friend should be floating, there's a woman standing knee-deep in the surf. Tall, with flowing blue hair that seems to move like actual waves, and eyes that are the deep red.
But what really knocks the wind out of me is that I recognize her. Not from meeting her before, but from something deeper, like déjà vu cranked up to eleven.
"K-Kye?" I stammer, taking a hesitant step forward. "Is that... you?"
She smiles at me, and it's somehow exactly the same as when Kye would do that head-dip thing. "My Leo. I have waited so long to speak to you properly."
I'm frozen in place, my entire understanding of reality crumbling.
"My Leo," she says again, her voice like waves crashing against cliffs, both gentle and powerful at once.
Before I can process what's happening, she's moving toward me through the shallows, water parting around her like it's afraid to touch her. Her breathing grows heavy, almost ragged as she approaches, and her red eyes look wild, unhinged in a way that sends shivers down my spine.
When she reaches me, I have to crane my neck up to look at her. Without warning, her hands, surprisingly warm and slightly damp, cup my face. Her thumbs trace gentle circles on my cheeks, a gesture so intimate it steals my breath.
"Kye, you're a human..." I finally manage to stammer out. "And you turned into a woman."
Something flashes across her face, irritation mixed with amusement. "I've always been a woman, Leo," she says, her voice both honey and vinegar. "I just gave up correcting you after our third badge because you refused to listen. Always 'good boy' this and 'attaboy' that."
"But…"
Before I can finish my thought, she pushes me backward with effortless strength. I fall flat onto the beach, sand cushioning my landing but still knocking the wind from my lungs. The woman who was my Pokémon, my friend, my partner, looms above me, silhouetted against the evening sky.
"Kye, are you okay?" I ask, genuinely concerned despite my confusion. This isn't the behavior of the protective but gentle companion I've known all this time.
She doesn't answer with words. Instead, she kneels between my legs and begins rubbing her palm firmly against my crotch. The unexpected contact sends electricity shooting through my body, I feel myself responding instantly.
"Do you know how long I've wanted you, Leo?" she asks, her voice dropping to a husky whisper that makes my heart race. "Do you have even the slightest clue?"
I can't speak. Can't think.
"Eight badges," she continues, her hand never stopping its maddening pressure. "Eight gym leaders. The Elite Four. All that time watching you celebrate with other trainers, watching those women flirt with you while I was trapped in that ridiculous ball, unable to claim what's mine."
"What do you mean?" I blurt out, my brain finally catching up to my mouth. "I barely talked to women! And when I did, you nearly drowned all of them!"
Something flashes in Kye's eyes, something primal and possessive. Her hands grip my shoulders, pinning me more firmly against the sand.
"BECAUSE YOU'RE MINE!" she screams, her voice echoing across the empty beach. The water behind her surges violently, responding to her emotions. "MINE! Not theirs to touch, not theirs to look at, not theirs to protect!"
Despite everything, the shock, the confusion, the situation, I find myself smiling. There's something weirdly comforting about her intensity, like I finally understand all those strange looks and protective behaviors over our journey.
"I didn't know you were a woman," I say softly, reaching up to touch her face. "But we're already best friends, so this is just... an upgrade, right?"
Her expression softens, the rage draining away as quickly as it came. The water behind us calms immediately.
"That's right," she whispers, leaning into my touch. "You always told me how much you cared for me. How much you loved me." She shifts her weight, her hands sliding down my chest. "Even if it was always…" she drops her voice comically low, doing an impression of me…"'Love ya, bro! You're the best, dude!'"
I can't help but laugh at her impression, but the laughter dies in my throat as her fingers find the button of my jeans. My heart hammers against my ribs as she skillfully undoes it, then slowly pulls down the zipper.
"Kye, what are you…"
But I already know what she's doing. And I'm not stopping her.
With surprising gentleness for someone who could probably tear my clothes off with a flick of her wrist, she tugs my jeans down my hips. My underwear follows, and I'm exposed to the cooling evening air, my arousal impossible to hide.
My eyes widen as I take in the full reality of what's happening. My companion is now a stunning woman hovering over me with hunger in her eyes. And despite the absolute insanity of the situation, I can't deny how beautiful she is, how the moonlight catches in her flowing blue hair, how her red eyes burn with desire.
Kye stands up, her movements fluid like water itself. She reaches down and grasps the hem of a dress I hadn't even realized she was wearing, a shimmering blue fabric that ripples like the ocean's surface. With one smooth motion, she straddles me, her powerful thighs on either side of my hips.
"I've waited so long for this," she whispers, her voice thick with desire.
She hovers above me for a moment, her red eyes locked with mine. Then, with deliberate slowness, she lowers herself onto me. The sensation is overwhelming, warm, wet, perfect. I gasp as she takes all of me, my hands instinctively grabbing her hips.
"Oh my god," I manage to choke out as she settles fully onto me.
Kye throws her head back, a moan escaping her that's so loud it echoes across the empty beach. The sound of a literal goddess getting what she needs.
"YESSS!" she screams, her voice carrying across the water. "THIS IS EVERYTHING I'VE EVER WANTED!"
She begins to move, rolling her hips in a rhythm as ancient as the tides she commands. Her eyes roll back, eyelids fluttering as she rides me with increasing fervor. I'm completely at her mercy, pinned beneath her supernatural strength.
"Do you feel it, Leo?" she cries out, loud enough that I worry trainers on nearby islands might hear. "DO YOU FEEL HOW PERFECT WE ARE TOGETHER?"
Her movements grow more frantic, more desperate. The water behind us responds to her pleasure, waves crashing violently against the shore in perfect synchronization with her rhythm. It's terrifying and exhilarating at once.
"I've watched you for so long," she moans, her voice carrying unnaturally far. "DREAMED OF THIS! NEEDED THIS!"
My hands slide up from her hips to her waist, then higher still. She's so powerful above me, her blue hair whipping around her face like it's caught in a storm.
"Kye," I gasp, barely able to form words. "The whole region is going to hear you."
She laughs, a sound like thunder across water. "LET THEM HEAR! LET THEM ALL KNOW YOU'RE MINE!"
I reach up and grab her face between my hands, pulling her down to me. Our lips crash together, and I kiss her deeply, partly to quiet her earth-shattering declarations but mostly because I need to be closer to her. The connection is electric, like touching a live wire but in the best possible way.
Her surprised moan vibrates against my lips before she melts into the kiss, her body pressing more firmly against mine. The waves behind us calm slightly, as if the ocean itself is holding its breath.
As we kiss, I start moving beneath her, matching her rhythm with upward thrusts that make her gasp into my mouth. This wasn't how I expected my celebration to go, but it's better than anything I could have possibly imagined.
When we break for air, I look up at her flushed face, her wild blue hair framing those powerful red eyes. "You feel so good, Kye," I whisper, my voice rough with emotion.
"Yes," she breathes, her eyes half-lidded. "Say more, Leo. Tell me everything."
"You're incredible," I continue, my hands sliding up her sides, feeling the smooth skin beneath my fingertips. "I've never felt anything like this. It's like... like you're the ocean and I'm drowning, but I don't want to be saved."
Her entire body tenses above me, her thighs clamping down on either side of my hips with superhuman strength. Kye's head snaps back, her spine arching like a bow drawn to its limit. The ocean behind us surges violently, huge waves crashing against the shore as her body begins to shudder uncontrollably.
"L-Leo!" she cries out, her voice a primal sound that seems to shake the very air around us. "I'm… I'm…"
She convulses around me, her inner muscles pulsing and gripping with an intensity that nearly pushes me over the edge instantly. I can feel every tremor, every wave of pleasure coursing through her as she comes completely undone above me.
"Oh fuck, Kye," I gasp, feeling my own climax building rapidly. The sensation of her tightening around me is too much. "I'm close… I need to…"
Instinctively, I try to lift her off me, my hands pushing against her hips in a futile attempt to separate us before it's too late. Some distant part of my brain is firing warning signals about the implications of finishing inside a legendary Pokémon turned woman.
"Don't. You. DARE."
Her voice isn't just commanding, it's the voice of a goddess giving an absolute decree. In one fluid motion, she captures both my wrists and slams them into the sand above my head, pinning me completely beneath her. Her face hovers inches from mine, those red eyes burning with possession.
"You are mine," she growls, her hips never stopping their relentless rhythm even as aftershocks of her orgasm continue to ripple through her. "Everything you are belongs to me. Every. Last. Drop."
I couldn't fight it even if I wanted to. The pressure building inside me reaches its breaking point.
"KYE!" I cry out her name as everything explodes into blinding white pleasure. My hips buck upward instinctively, driving deeper into her as the first pulse hits, flooding her with warmth.
"Yes, Leo," she moans, grinding down to take me impossibly deeper. "Give it all to me."
Wave after wave crashes through me, each more brutal than the last. I'm vaguely aware that I'm babbling her name over and over, my body completely surrendered to her will. The sensation seems to go on forever, my entire being reduced to this single point of connection between us.
When the last waves of pleasure finally fade, I'm left trembling beneath Kye, my chest heaving as I try to catch my breath. She releases my wrists, sitting back slightly to gaze down at me with an expression of pure contentment radiating from her face.
"You're happy," I observe between ragged breaths, a smile tugging at the corners of my mouth.
Kye tilts her head, her flowing blue hair cascading over one shoulder like a waterfall. "Was that not clear?" There's amusement in her voice, as if my statement is the most obvious thing in the world.
I can't help but chuckle, despite feeling completely drained. "I'm happy too," I admit, reaching up to brush a strand of hair from her face.
Something flickers in my peripheral vision, drawing my attention away from Kye's face. There's a... presence hovering behind her, silhouetted against the night sky. My eyes widen as I focus on the strange form.
Kye notices my shift in attention and follows my gaze, turning her head to look over her shoulder.
"Deoxys?" I whisper, recognition dawning as I stare at the alien Pokémon floating silently about twenty feet away, its tentacle-like appendages swaying gently in the night air.
My eyes dart to where the largest meteor had crashed earlier. The glowing rock is gone, leaving only a scorched depression in the sand. Understanding clicks into place.
"That meteor... was that Deoxys?" I ask, my voice barely audible even to myself.
The Pokémon hovers motionless, its blank face fixed directly on me. There's something deeply unsettling about being the focus of its attention, especially in my current vulnerable state.
Kye's body tenses above me, her earlier contentment evaporating instantly. "Be gone!" she commands, her voice reverting to an otherworldly power.
Deoxys doesn't react. Doesn't move. Its gaze remains locked on me, somehow feeling even more intense, more probing, as if it's trying to see inside me.
"Can you not fucking hear me?" Kye's voice rises, fury replacing annoyance. The temperature around us drops as she raises her hands with violent intent.
Before I can even process what's happening, a massive wall of water rises behind us, towering over the beach like a liquid skyscraper. My eyes widen in terror, but Kye's arm wraps protectively around my waist, anchoring me to her.
The wave crashes down with apocalyptic force, sweeping across the entire beach. Despite being at ground zero, I remain perfectly dry as Kye's power creates a bubble of protection around us.
The savage wave sweeps the meteors into the ocean, dragging them under with tremendous force. I watch in awe as they're pulled beneath the surface, leaving nothing but churning white foam in their wake.
Deoxys hovers motionless for a moment, seemingly stunned by Kye's display of power. Then it begins making these weird, high-pitched electronic sounds, almost like a dial-up modem having a panic attack. Its body starts shifting between forms rapidly, tentacles retracting and extending in what looks like pure distress.
"That's right," Kye growls above me, her arm still locked protectively around my waist. "You understand now, don't you?"
The alien Pokémon's form flickers one last time before it suddenly shoots straight up into the night sky, moving so fast it leaves a streak of light behind like a reverse shooting star. Within seconds, it's nothing but a tiny dot against the black canvas above us, and then it's gone completely.
"Holy shit," I whisper, my heart still pounding from the whole encounter. "Did it just... run away from you?"
Kye's lips curl into a satisfied smile as she finally releases her protective hold on me. "Of course it did. It sensed my power and knew better than to challenge me." She stretches languidly above me, completely unconcerned about our nakedness or the fact that we're still intimately connected. "Especially when I was in the middle of something important."
I can't help but laugh at her casual dismissal of what just happened. "You just scared off a legendary alien Pokémon because it was interrupting our... um..."
"Our mating," she supplies helpfully, with zero shame. "And yes. Nothing interrupts that. Nothing."
