Chapter 82 - Chapter 82: High-speed Battleship

"Don't forget our purpose for coming here!"

Seeing the atmosphere stiffen a bit, Yukari Yakumo, who was standing by, reminded them. Remilia nodded, then looked at Flandre Scarlet and took out a droplet-shaped necklace from her bosom.

"Wear this well. We'll be able to contact each other anytime, and it can track your location."

"Are you going back?" Flandre looked at Remilia, reluctantly gripping her hand tightly.

Remilia reached out and rubbed Flandre's cheek. "We were teleported here using Great Magic. Once the time is up, we'll be forced back. But don't worry, Patchy is updating the magic circle. This necklace is a locator to help us find you, and with it, we can contact each other every day."

At that moment, Flandre noticed Yukari Yakumo not far away, holding a camera and talking to Talulah and the others. After they nodded, a dozen or so different people arrived from outside shortly after. There were men, women, old, and young; besides Ursus, there were races like Cautus, Feline, Lupo, and Forte. Then Yukari Yakumo took a few photos of the crowd with her camera and tucked it away.

"What is she doing?" Flandre asked quietly.

"It's because of the news you shared; quite a few yokai have become interested. But often, words aren't enough; we need proof to show that what you said is true. Photos taken by Yukari Yakumo herself using Aya Shameimaru's camera—such evidence naturally carries a lot of weight. By the way, sister, come and take a photo with Miss Talulah and Alina."

Remilia pulled Flandre toward Yukari Yakumo. Flandre stood obediently between the two. After Yukari finished the photo, she pulled Remilia.

"Sister, I want to take a photo with you too!"

"Of course, my sister!"

The two sisters leaned their faces together and struck a pose— "Yay!"

After taking the photo, Yukari Yakumo said somewhat helplessly, "I'll go for a stroll outside. You sisters haven't seen each other in a long time, so you must have a lot to talk about."

After saying that, Yukari Yakumo stepped into a Gap and disappeared from their sight. Seeing this, the others also expressed that the battle wasn't entirely over and they had to handle the aftermath. They left the room to the two sisters.

Once only Flandre and Remilia were left, Remilia carefully asked about Flandre's current situation and why she was here. Upon learning that Flandre's mental state had stabilized due to merging with another person's memories, Remilia held her small face and studied it for a long time but couldn't find anything wrong.

"Forget it. Next time I come, I'll ask that sage from Eientei to come and take a look for you."

She asked many things, and after confirming that this was indeed her sister, she didn't take the matter too much to heart. After all, in her eyes, despite Flandre's small size, she was a true pure-blooded vampire; the other soul was just an ordinary person and could never take a dominant position over Flandre. Furthermore, it seemed that this soul fusion had indirectly cured her sister's "frenzied state" that she occasionally couldn't control. This could be considered a blessing in disguise.

Flandre then recounted the matters regarding the Reunion Movement.

"So, you actually didn't have to come here, right?" Remilia asked curiously. Her sister wasn't exactly the type who enjoyed helping others.

"But they are the first friends Flandre has made in this world."

Flandre's words made Remilia understand the reason. Since childhood, Flandre had lived with her in the old castle and rarely interacted with outsiders. While the yokai in Gensokyo would occasionally visit, because of their long lifespans, visiting once a year was considered quite frequent if there were no major events. This resulted in Flandre spending most of her time in the Scarlet Devil Mansion either staying indoors or chasing the Gatekeeper for fun.

Although the people of this world were weak, it was precisely because of this that they needed Flandre's power, giving her a "sense of accomplishment." Combined with the fact that these people's strength was indeed mediocre—only that big guy(Patriot) seemed to have some skills. In this situation, Flandre could naturally make many "friends" due to her own strength. Although there were many interests involved, it had to be said that these people managed the boundaries well and were not ill-intentioned.

Moreover, the blood relative Flandre had personally bestowed was indeed a trustworthy and kind person; thus, even if she couldn't bring Flandre back, she was no longer as anxious as before.

The two chatted for a long time. Suddenly, Remilia took Flandre's hand and said, "I have to go back. Sister, you must take good care of yourself!"

"So soon?" Flandre held Remilia's hand, reluctant to let go.

"Don't worry, my sister, we will meet again soon!"

Remilia's body began to gradually become transparent. Just then, a Gap opened nearby, and Yukari Yakumo's voice came from it. "Quickly, enter the Gap, or I won't be able to save you if you encounter spatial turbulence on the way back."

Remilia waved goodbye to Flandre and dove headfirst into the Gap. After the two left, Flandre sat there for a long time, feeling a sense of loss.

Knock, knock, knock! A knocking sound came from outside. "Flandre, are you okay?"

It was Alina. She naturally knew Flandre was still inside, but presumably sensing no movement for a while, she came to check. Flandre stood up and shook her head, tossing that bit of gloom to the back of her mind.

"I'm fine, Sister Alina. Let's go to the front line and take a look together!"

The Ursus army on this side routed quickly. Not only did they leave behind a large amount of weapons and equipment, but they also left a big fellow—the power ship, a High-speed Battleship. Facing this thing, let alone Talulah, even Buldrokkas'tee was scratching his head.

After all, if the Reunion Movement had such a thing, they could truly go toe-to-toe with an Ursus Army Group. After all, the entire Fourth Army Group had fewer than five of these, and three of them were still on the northern battlefield fighting the Demons. One was holding the line on the battlefield in Kazdel. Only this one, because it had just undergone a major overhaul and hadn't had time to go to the front line yet, was used by Count Miles as his personal vessel.

But no one expected a battle that was a sure win to be lost, and lost so miserably. Not only did they lose several thousand sets of weapons and equipment, but they also lost an intact High-speed Battleship. This was a High-speed Battleship, the strongest land combat unit of the Terran nations. It could be said that once the noble lords of the Fourth Army Group found out about this, they would be so furious their souls would fly out of their bodies.

The dilemma now facing the Reunion Movement was whether or not to keep this big fellow. Keeping it would indeed raise the Reunion Movement's military power to its peak. But keeping it meant the Reunion Movement would be antagonized by everyone, especially the Fourth Army Group, which could absolutely not tolerate their High-speed Battleship falling into others' hands.

As for The Emperor, even if he had the intention to support the Reunion Movement before, that was only under the condition that they didn't become too strong. A High-speed Battleship could completely threaten the safety of the Holy Steed Fortress, so he too would refuse further contact with the Reunion Movement. Furthermore, this place was located at the border of Leithanien, Victoria, and Ursus. They also couldn't allow a military fortress that could threaten their national security at any time to appear on their doorstep.

Moreover, a High-speed Battleship was a bottomless pit; with the Reunion Movement currently having to buy food everywhere, they had no extra Originium to provide energy for it. So, while keeping the High-speed Battleship might make the Reunion Movement's strength appear greatly increased for a time, what they would get in return was the hostility of everyone around them.

But if they didn't keep it, who could they give it to? Great Yan? It was too far. Leithanien and Victoria wouldn't mind taking in an active Ursus High-speed Battleship; it would help them analyze Ursus's technology. But doing so would definitely infuriate both the Old Nobility and The Emperor of Ursus. As for returning it to the Old Nobility, don't even think about it. If you returned the ship, they'd have it parked at your doorstep by the afternoon of the same day.

Thus, there was only one party they could trade with: His Majesty The Emperor. As the actual ruler of Ursus, he was naturally antagonistic toward the Old Nobility. Acquiring one of the opponent's High-speed Battleships would not only greatly increase his own combat power but also weaken the other side. Not only could the Reunion Movement gain support and benefits through this trade, but once the item was in The Emperor's hands, the Old Nobility's attention would be diverted.

But a huge problem before them was: how to let The Emperor know about this and then make a deal? Time quickly provided the answer. Buldrokkas'tee, who was responsible for guarding the High-speed Battleship, brought news: The Guard had passed on a message for The Emperor, saying that someone would come to sail the ship away in two days. And the Reunion Movement would not only gain The Emperor's friendship, but the other party would also provide a sufficient price.

It was only then that the Fourth Army Group barely received the news. Several people on the Old Nobility's side immediately fainted. Several thousand elite troops plus a High-speed Battleship went to wipe out an organization with fewer than five hundred armed men, and they were not only routed but even lost the High-speed Battleship? It was a good thing Count Miles died. Had he lived, those noble lords would probably have wanted to skin him alive.

"Where is the power ship? Send someone to take it back!" someone said angrily.

"But, we have no more men!"
