Synopsis
Elden Ring, of course, takes place in the Lands Between. This story isn’t about a main character from Earth or someone who knows the future—it’s just the journey of a Tarnished as they make their way through the game’s normal story. It’s based on my first playthrough, and I’ve included deleted content to make the story a bit more interesting. specifically about Kalé, etc. Hope you enjoy my first work!

Chapter 1 - Elden Ring: A Life to Remember

I woke up to a beam of light, scorching my closed eyes until they opened and turned away. I look around, away from the blinding light, for a second. I'm not sure where I am.

The ground is a dark gray, with streaks of gold glowing within cracks, and as I try to look out to some horizon, I'm met with fog all around me. I can't see beyond 10 meters.

"Damn it—where the hell am I?" I grab my face only to realize it's covered. I check my hands, and they're also covered.

By this blue cloth of sorts.

And I check more and more. I realize my body is clothed by this blue cloth set, with brown leather armor covering it on my torso and arms.

"I barely remember anything. What happened?"

Then, as an answer, one singular memory floods his head and wraps around him to give him one desire—a booming, mighty voice with affection telling him, and perhaps others,

"Brave Tarnished. Mighty warriors who fought at my side. Await the summons. It will call to thee one day. Heed the fading grace... Seek the Elden Ring, O Tarnished. Across the Sea of Fog, to the Lands Between. Become Lord. Enact thy will!"

And just like that, that was all the Tarnished needed to hear.

His legs started to turn towards the light. "M-my legs… they won't stop moving."

"Hey! Stop, give me a second at least—" His eyes began to scorch again, and while moving closer and closer, the unnamed Tarnished began to go into that light… unwillingly, of course.

"What the hell is this?! AGHHHHHH" he exclaimed as the beam of light started to take hold of him, burning his body till there was nothing left.

The light had died out… and so did the blue-clothed man, leaving the fog to slowly begin to cover the stone platform.
