Chapter 80 - Floaroma Town, a Visitor from Kanto?

"Holy—! The Farmer's Three Punches?! And Facade and Healing Wish too?!"

Peter was practically glowing with excitement.

The so-called Farmer's Three Punches—Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, and Ice Punch—were all solid, above-average physical moves. For most humanoid physical attackers, these three provided absurdly good coverage. Each one was a massive upgrade to any close-combat Pokémon's toolkit.

As for Facade—that move was practically the ultimate finisher for Normal-type physical attackers.

Once you paired it with items like a Flame Orb or Toxic Orb to deliberately inflict a status condition, it effectively became a terrifying 140-power nuke.

The classic combo was with the Guts ability, instantly triggering a 1.5× Attack boost while statused.

And then there was Healing Wish.

That move sat at the absolute pinnacle of support skills.

Imagine a 3v3 battle: one core carry backed by two supports with Healing Wish—

That was essentially three lives for your main damage dealer. Utterly brainless. Utterly broken.

Because of how absurd it was, very few Pokémon could learn Healing Wish.

But—

In Peter's team?

Lopunny could learn it.

Indeedee could learn it.

"Wow… what a coincidence."

Peter grinned, immediately heading into the system shop and reassigning the newly drawn TMs.

Aside from Healing Wish, the Farmer's Three Punches and Facade could all be learned by both Lopunny and Slakoth, while Drain Punch was exclusive to Lopunny.

Five TMs total—100 Master Points spent. Pocket change at this point.

Next came the held items.

Peter tossed the Kangaskhanite into his bag.

"If I remember right, Norman has a Kangaskhan. Mega Evolution's pretty strong… Once the research matures, I'll send this over to him."

The remaining items fit his current lineup almost perfectly.

Extended Sunny Day and Rain Dance durations could easily catch opponents off guard.

Psychic Seed, together with the Grassy Seed he'd drawn earlier, synced perfectly with Indeedee and Dolliv's terrain-based abilities.

The Terrain Extender further boosted field control and ability uptime.

As for the Toxic Orb—paired with Facade and Healing Wish, it opened up yet another brutal offensive strategy.

That left the Summoner Skill Stones.

"These skills only work on me…" Peter muttered. "But damn, my survivability's basically maxed out now."

Flash. Ghost Sprint. Insight.

It felt like he'd brought MOBA mechanics straight into reality.

After stowing the stones, Peter took out six crystal-clear boxes of Pokéblocks.

Each box held 100 blocks—enough to last the team over half a month.

"These Deluxe Pokéblocks really saved me," Peter nodded. "Perfect timing."

He still hadn't mastered crafting intermediate-level blocks yet, which had slightly slowed Lopunny's and Dolliv's growth. This haul would keep things smooth for a while.

"…Still not enough money, though."

Peter glanced at the panel—just over 6,800 Master Points left.

He forcibly suppressed the urge to keep pulling.

Each stat upgrade for Lopunny and Indeedee cost 200 Master Points, and Dolliv was close to evolving—another massive expense waiting around the corner.

"I need to make money… fast."

His eyes sharpened.

"Let's get to Eterna Forest as soon as possible."

Once he learned how to craft intermediate Pokéblocks, his income would skyrocket.

Looking out at the open road ahead, Peter grinned.

"Alright, partners—full sprint!"

"Mi-lo!"

"Li-no!"

"Ai!"

"Lai!"

"Soya!"

------

Floaroma Town was a small settlement immersed in a sea of flowers. Just approaching it, one could already smell the overwhelming fragrance in the air—it was paradise for flower lovers.

Legend had it that Floaroma had once been barren land. When people prayed and gave thanks to nature, flowers of countless colors bloomed across the hills in an instant.

That miracle was said to be the work of the Gratitude Pokémon, Shaymin, whose power could make flowers bloom instantly and transform wastelands into fertile green fields.

At the southern entrance, a boy on a bicycle—followed by a group of panting Pokémon—rolled straight into this floral world.

"Li-no~"

Dolliv let out a happy cry, closing her eyes as Grassy Terrain spread beneath her feet.

The Grass-type energy here was incredibly rich—a rare and precious place for her.

After checking into the Pokémon Center, Peter wasted no time heading for a shower.

To reach Floaroma before nightfall, he'd practically gone full throttle the entire way—his bike chain had nearly caught fire.

Of course, the loud advance had drawn plenty of wild Pokémon, giving Slakoth and the others a chance to get some live training in. The gained talent points pushed Slakoth to max potential, officially breaking 100 Attack.

Once cleaned up, Peter took out the Powerleaf Spinach from his bag.

Instantly, a stomach-turning stench flooded the entire room.

"…Ugh. No matter how many times I smell this, it still hurts," Peter wiped the corner of his eyes.

It was weaponized.

Two days had passed since planting, and the spinach had grown explosively—lush, thick, and each bundle as big as a watermelon, many of them spilling over the pot.

Honestly, feeding this to Slakoth alone would probably take a full day.

"Slakoth, one more day till harvest… this'll be your main course~"

Peter patted the sloth Pokémon's head with a constipated smile.

"Lai…"

Slakoth shuddered, swallowed hard, and nodded.

"Li-no…"

Dolliv released Sweet Scent, desperately trying to purify the air.

The other Pokémon had already retreated into their Poké Balls.

This smell was simply unbearable.

Knock, knock, knock.

A gentle voice sounded from outside the door.

"Pardon me—may I ask if someone is staying here?"

Peter froze.

That voice carried a warm, soothing elegance.

Opening the door, he saw a young woman waiting politely.

"Hello—can I help—huh?!"

Peter's eyes widened.

"You're… Erika, the Gym Leader from Kanto?!"

Erika wore a loose green kimono paired with a crimson pleated skirt. Despite the relaxed clothing, her graceful, full figure was impossible to hide. Her short black hair was tied neatly with a red headband, revealing a smooth, pale face that radiated the gentle elegance of a traditional Yamato beauty.

"Ah~ I didn't expect to be recognized even here," she said with a soft smile, bowing slightly.

"My name is Erika. I apologize for the sudden intrusion."

As she leaned forward, a deep, breathtaking curve was unintentionally revealed.

"And may I ask your name?"

Peter quickly looked away.

"Uh… I'm Peter. Miss Erika, is there something you need?"

"'Peter' is a very lovely name~" Erika smiled warmly. "Actually…"

Erika—the Celadon City Gym Leader of Kanto, a master of Grass-type Pokémon.

In the dreamlike city of rainbow hues, she ran a perfume shop famous throughout Kanto. Her fragrances were distilled from Gloom's toxins, making her extraordinarily sensitive to scents.

Passing by Peter's room, she had caught traces of Powerleaf Spinach mixed with Dolliv's Sweet Scent—a combination so bizarre and potent that it compelled her to knock on the door.

And thus, a meeting across regions quietly began.
