Nodoka might have seemed calm for anyone passing by, there wasn't much that could be further from the truth. While the massive amount of money he got via his bitcoin was insane, he didn't want to rely on it fully from the start. He wouldn't say no to help from the system, but he wanted to do so on his own terms. He'd only use his bitcoin funds when necessary. When he first got the information about the systems knowledge it sparked an idea, it wasn't a big one at first, but the more he thought the better it got. With the system helping him he had the future knowledge of the stock market. In other words, call options for the winnnn.
In his previous life call options were a bit controversial, extreme profits but also losses. But in this world where he literally knew the future, it lost all the downsides. But as this would greatly leverage the system's help he decided to not solely focus on that, it wouldn't take much of his time anyway. Instead he decided on something he wanted to do in his previous life but never got the chance. He would build a car!
His heart was racing only thinking about it. His interests in his previous world were broader than just programming, he dreamed of building various different machines and robots as well, but that wast a cheap hobby so he decided to not strain his family's financial situation unnecessarily. But now, nothing was stopping him!
His walk quickened, his feet moved faster, he was almost at the convenience store. A familiar bell rang as he entered. His feeling of familiarity however, was not reciprocated. The store clerk looked at him with no particular gaze, simply noticing a new customer. He really was a stranger to this world… Not wanting to let this thought linger he rushed over to the sandwich section quickly taking 2. On his way to the counter he also grabbed a few instant noodles as well. He'd start eating healthy soon. After paying, he originally wanted to make his way back home, but spontaneously decided to go for a walk along the Edo River. There were a few things coming and a lot to do for him.
Yo Kev, on his way to the store he had decided to call the system Kevin, what you previously said about knowing all the information of my old world does that really imply ALL information? "Yes sir, there are a few limitations, my knowledge about the past is only as extensive as the volume of human knowledge, but aside from that i have a pretty good understanding of everything." Hm, Nodoka pondered, and what about this world, how accurately does your knowledge translate? "Good question, it is fairly accurate, since god added to this world there are factors i dont know, but as those should be very minor inconsistencies they shouldn't change the overall accuracy of my knowledge."
Alright, then lets focus on making money first, we should divide the operations into the two main routes first. Starting with the option trading account, we should be fine at the beginning when the investments aren't too huge, but we need a long term plan. As for the bitcoin, we first need to set up a system from the getgo. What are our options?
"Yes the Bitcoin operation should definitely be divided up and that from the start. I would suggest that we create a Swiss Foundation for those, setting that up will take some time and money, $52.000 to set it up. Though for the options trading, this can be done for quite some time without anything major, anything under $10 Million really. You should still split it up at some point, but only once you are over $3 Million in one account"
Hmm, alright yeah that should work, when we are home we can file the paperwork for the foundation and i will start with the options plan.
He would've been lying if he said that he wasn't afraid. The amount of money he could get was absurd on a scale unfathomable to any human. And the numbers he'd calculated were only for 2024. The years after that he himself hadn't paid much attention, something Kevin could assist him in. But with the amount that could already be in his name by the end of 2024, he needed strategies. Being found out was inevitable, even if everything he did was 100% legal, the amount of money being moved wouldn't go undetected forever. He needed a strategy for that. Dividing up his net worth would be key to his anonymity.
He opened the door, his mind racing. It was finally time to start, he wouldn't start with much, but due to his future knowledge that couldn't matter less. He sat down at his computer, opened a browser and quickly opened a trading site. Since he still needed some money to live he only transferred 1000 Dollars into his trading account. A good amount for him to start and left enough to eat for a few weeks. His first and main goal was get the bitcoin trading machine up and running. But that required large funds, something he didn't have liquid but only with his net worth. The goal was clear: make lots of money.
"Yo Kevin, what would you recommend for the short term for today?" Sure Nodoka was interested in stocks, but he had only remembered the memorable changes.
"Today probably bitcoin and meme coins." Kev opened a few graphs via the system, using those Nodoka started trading.
As exciting as the prospect of making large amounts of money was, it was also nerve racking. On his way back he had already decided on an investment strategy. Multiplying his money was trivial, but hiding it, that's where the trouble began. If he simply used one account, the growth rate would throw red flags immediately. In the long term he wanted to use a HTS, but he lacked the funds required to start right now so he had to go with an account at a stock broker.
His strategy was simple but effective, he would trade in a way where he would get a daily plus of 50%, this was extraordinary but not overkill. Of course if he got the same exact profit every day it would again be suspicious, but that was easier to combat. Simply have some days with higher yields and some with lower ones, maybe even a loss sometimes. As long as it averaged out to +50% he was happy. For his first day he would simply invest in Bitcoin. With the unpredictability of the price in the short term, making a lot of money from it wasn't as suspicious as other options would have been. He checked the time, about 1 Minute to go.
He had chosen a moment where a bigger jump would happen with bitcoin. Nothing too crazy, but enough to turn a profit. He began to sweat.*click* The bitcoin was purchased. Along with the order he had configured an auto sell function that would trigger when the Bitcoin price went over a threshold.
It worked immediately. The stock shot up, just like Kev had said. It's not that he didn't trust Kev, he wanted to, it just seemed too good to be true, but this, this was proof, proof of kev's capabilities, proof of the power he now wealed.
Sitting almost eerily still, he leaned back for a second, his mind though, was racing. It didn't take a genius mathematician to calculate the exponential earnings he could expect. The early days would be slow, but soon, in just 18 days, he'd crack $1 Million. And from there? There would be no slowing down.
The real problem wasn't making money, it was hiding it. Even with him doing everything legally, if he didn't hide his identity and obfuscated his funds he was basically asking for a potential investigation into market manipulation or insider trading. The amount of money he'd make would simply be too big not to raise suspicion.
But how do you keep your wealth a secret while also keeping everything legal? It isn't a straightforward process, and you can't guarantee that you will never be found out, but the most common way is to set up a company in a tax haven as a parent company or holding company and operate through that.
"But what if we go further kev? What if we don't stop at that, but have multiple tax haven companies that root back to another one"
"It is possible, but setting up such an intricate structure will take a lot of time and money."
"Yeah I figured. Most importantly is getting the Bitcoin operation running though, whats the easiest/fastest option there"
"The ideal country would be Switzerland, but you would have to go there in person or send a representative. In contrast, for a short term option a C-Corp in Delaware would probably be quicker to set up. All you need is funds and we can earn those quickly, we'd still need headquarters over there but that's again just a matter of funds."
"Hm, yeah then lets go with Delaware for the time being and make some money that way first. How much would you say do i need to get started in the US?"
"About $10 Million should be good. So about 23 days with your current strategy."
He sighed. There was a lot of work ahead of him, but there was no helping it, for now he couldn't really do much else anyways. After stretching for a second he began trading again, he didn't want to get all of his daily profit from just one trade, but multiple smaller ones.
The hours rolled by as the sun said goodbye for the day. Nodoka, however, was still trading. After getting his first trade perfectly he hesitated too much on the next one, actually managing to lose money WHILE knowing the future. Safe to say, he was pissed. Realistically he should've taken a step back and regrouped himself, but he was too focused for that. When he realized what he had done it was already too late…
Nodoka blinked. Once. Twice? Nothing changed. "Shit"
He sat in silence for a second. "God damn it, today is the first day for crying out loud." He angrily stared at his balance. $20.000 Dollars, he'd multiplied his starting balance by 20…
"So much for laying low i suppose." He shook his head. "What do you think I should do kev?"
"Pay out $5.000 to upgrade your setup and then divide the remaining money into 3 accounts with $5.000 each."
The tone of his voice hadn't changed. But Nodoka was sure of it, this robot machine thing was laughing at him. Begrudily, he did exactly what Kevin asked for. It sadly did make sense.
