Krillin beamed, his voice thick with nostalgia, "As expected of Goku's son! Like father, like son!" Beside him, Yamcha and Tien Shinhan couldn't hide their pride. "Gohan, that was incredible!" Yamcha cheered, while Tien added, "Goku, you've raised a fine warrior.
" The Z-Fighters, who had watched both father and son grow through years of hardship, felt a collective surge of joy. To them, Gohan wasn't just a powerful ally; he was the future they had all fought to protect.
In West City, Bulma pulled the young Gohan into a warm embrace, her eyes sparkling. "See that, Gohan? That's the hero you'll become," she said with a playful smirk. She couldn't help but feel a bit smug; Goku's son had clearly outpaced Vegeta's boy in the potential department.
Little Gohan blinked his large, innocent eyes at the screen, a shy smile spreading across his face. Even though his heart was set on being a great scholar, seeing his future self radiate such strength filled him with a quiet sense of accomplishment.
On the multiversal chat, the messages flew by at blinding speeds. Goku chimed in eagerly, "@Gohan, well done! For the sake of your dream, go out there and defeat Cell!" He wasn't bothered by being surpassed; in fact, the Saiyan blood in him was thrumming with excitement at the thought of sparring with such a powerful version of his son.
Meanwhile, Naruto Uzumaki grumbled, "We both have golden hair, so why is there such a massive gap between me and a Super Saiyan?" Sasuke Uchiha replied with his usual bluntness, "Because he's a Saiyan, Naruto. You're just a human.
" Zhang Chulan was more focused on the aesthetics: "Did you see his tears floating upward? That was pure poetry." Even the veteran warriors like Li Haotian and Li Xinnan admitted that while their own transformations were impressive, the raw, iconic impact of a Saiyan ascension was in a league of its own.
Akira, watching from his home in West City, wasn't surprised by the reaction. As a transmigrator, he knew that Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 was more than just a power-up; it was the peak of 90s battle shonen history. Even in a multiverse where modern icons like Gojo Satoru trended, the classic weight of Gohan's rage remained the gold standard for "the ultimate transformation."
The banter continued as Krillin mocked Cell's impending doom. "Cell is about to learn the same lesson Vegeta did. You play with fire, you get burned." Frieza couldn't resist poking the bear: "@Vegeta, any thoughts on Cell imitating your signature arrogance?" Vegeta growled back, "Hmph! Your performance against Goku wasn't exactly a masterclass in strategy, Frieza." Piccolo, ever the strategist, noted, "The narrator said only Future Trunks isn't reckless, but look at Gohan. He isn't reckless—he's focused."
But as the video continued, that focus began to warp into something darker.
Gohan no longer hesitated. He moved with a cold, surgical precision that made the previous struggle look like a rehearsal. The Cell Juniors, creatures that had pushed Vegeta and Trunks to their absolute limits, were now nothing more than targets.
With every devastating strike, a Cell Junior exploded into blue mist. In seconds, the battlefield was cleared. Gohan tossed a Senzu bean to Trunks, his voice devoid of its usual softness. "Feed these to the others. I'll handle him."
Cell, still blinded by his own "Perfect" ego, powered up to 100%. He hadn't used his full strength against Goku, and he was convinced that his maximum output would crush this child. He roared, his aura expanding until the earth cracked beneath him, but Gohan merely watched with a look of pure, unadulterated disdain. It was a look that stung worse than any physical blow.
Cell launched a flurry of attacks, each capable of shattering mountains, but Gohan moved like a ghost, dodging or parrying every strike with a single hand. Desperate and losing his composure, Cell soared into the stratosphere, cupping his hands for a massive Kamehameha. "Stand still, brat, or I'll turn this entire planet to ash!"
Gohan didn't move. He stood his ground as the massive beam descended, only to counter with a surge of his own blue Ki. His Kamehameha didn't just meet Cell's; it swallowed it whole, tearing through the villain's defenses and vaporizing half of his torso. As Cell hovered there, regenerating and trembling with fury, Gohan let out a small, mocking smirk.
"Finish him now, Gohan!" Goku shouted from the sidelines, sensing the shift in the air.
But Gohan's eyes remained cold, glowing with a cruel light. "Finish him? It's far too early for that," he replied, his voice chillingly calm. "He hasn't suffered nearly enough for what he's done."
Goku's expression turned to one of pure dread. He shouted again, pleading for his son to end it, but Gohan didn't even turn his head. Across the multiverse, seasoned viewers felt their hearts sink. They had seen this story before. When a hero starts enjoying the pain of their enemy, the "boomerang" of karma is usually right around the corner.
