In the ancient legends of the Saiyan race, there is a warrior who appears only once every thousand years. For generations, the Saiyans believed this fabled individual would become the ultimate Super Saiyan. However, reality was far more terrifying.
This being was not a standard Super Saiyan, but something else entirelyâthe Legendary Super Saiyan. This title does not merely describe a transformation; it signifies a Saiyan who stands above all others, a monster of pure, unadulterated power.
And that Saiyan's name is Broly.
On the desolate crags of Planet Vampa in Universe 7, Paragus watched the flickering video feed, his heart a turbulent mix of bitter resentment and sudden, soaring hope. He knew the narrator spoke of his son. It explained everythingâthe raw, monstrous Ki that had radiated from Broly since the moment he was born. Paragus finally understood that his son was the true legend. Yet, that realization tasted like ash. It was Broly's overwhelming potential that had terrified King Vegeta, leading to their exile on this hellish, barren rock.
"King Vegeta!" Paragus hissed, his voice trembling with a lifetime of suppressed hatred. He watched the screen, seeing the King's son, Prince Vegeta, standing tall and powerful in the future. "How am I supposed to get my revenge now? Can I really rely on Broly to crush a prince who has reached the level of the Gods?"
The narrator's voice cut through the silence like a blade. "Broly is the son of the Saiyan Paragus. When Prince Vegeta was born, the King was overjoyed. The infant prince possessed a power level of two thousandâa feat of genius talent. However, the King's joy was short-lived. An infant even more terrifying had appeared: Broly. His power level at birth was ten thousand."
Across the dimensions, the weight of that number settled heavily. For a newborn, ten thousand was an impossibility. It meant that at birth, Broly was already stronger than almost every adult Saiyan in history, including King Vegeta and the elite warrior Bardock. Sensing a threat to the royal bloodline's dominance, the King chose exile over execution, casting the boy away. Paragus had followed his son to Vampa to save him, but the cost was their lives in civilization.
"If King Vegeta had kept Broly," the narrator mused, "the Saiyan race might never have been eradicated by Frieza. Of course, it is just as likely that Broly himself would have destroyed them all."
Inside his spaceship, Prince Vegeta sat in stunned silence, his knuckles white as he gripped his seat. "A power level of ten thousand... at birth?" He had spent his entire life fueled by the pride of being a prodigy, believing no one could touch his natural-born talent.
To find out a nameless outcast had eclipsed him by a factor of five while still in a cradle was a crushing blow to his ego. He realized now that his father's "secret" was actually a desperate move born of fear.
"So this is the Legendary Super Saiyan?" Vegeta muttered, his Scouter-less eyes narrowing. "Everything I was proud of... it means nothing." His mind drifted to another name mentioned. "And who is this Bardock? Kakarot's father? To think there were so many hidden monsters in our race."
In a separate ship, Nappa was losing his mind. He looked at his own hands, sweating. His current power, achieved through decades of brutal conquest and training, was barely comparable to what this Broly possessed as a crying infant. "Damn it all!" he growled, the sheer power scaling of the multiverse making him feel like a common human.
Meanwhile, on the endless yellow path of Snake Way in the Underworld, Son Goku paused his jog. "My dad?" The name Bardock resonated deep within him. He had never cared for his heritage, but knowing his father was a warrior respected even by the narrator stirred a rare spark of curiosity. However, his excitement quickly shifted. "This Broly guy sounds incredible. I'd love to spar with someone that strong!"
Even the cold Emperor Frieza, lounging on his hover-pod, felt a chill of interest. "Broly? The narrator claims he could have stopped me from destroying the monkeys?" Frieza let out a sharp, aristocratic laugh. "How fascinating. Let this Great King see if a 'Legend' can actually withstand the golden glow of my true power."
The video continued, shifting focus. "Broly and Paragus were destined to die on Vampa, forgotten by history. But the arrival of a single spaceship changed everythingâand that event was tied directly to Frieza."
Frieza leaned forward, his crimson eyes gleaming. "Me? Did I send for them?"
"Following his resurrection by Whis after the Tournament of Power," the narrator explained, "Frieza returned to his empire. But the Frieza Force was a shadow of its former glory. To rebuild, he offered massive rewards for any scouts who could find powerful soldiers. This led two nobodies, Cheelai and Lemo, to the far reaches of space."
In the current timeline, Lemoâa veteran gruntânearly fell out of his chair. "That's me! My destiny changes?" He looked at his calloused hands, wondering how a low-level soldier like him could ever be part of something so monumental.
The scene on the screen shifted to the harsh, green-tinted atmosphere of Planet Vampa. A small, sleek scout ship touched down on the jagged terrain, responding to an ancient distress signal. As the hatch opened, Cheelai and Lemo stepped out into the howling wind. There, standing amidst the shadows of the giant craters, were the exiled father and his silent, hulking son.
The two scouts could feel the pressure of Broly's Ki even before he movedâa sleeping volcano waiting to erupt. They didn't hesitate. They brought the exiles back to the heart of the Frieza Force, unaware that they were handing the Emperor the most dangerous weapon in the multiverse.
