Day 31? The Farthest Labyrinth 83F
Trap zone. Trap paradise. Actually, the whole floor is just traps? There's literally nowhere safe to walk. Because everything is a trap.
"Next stop, 83F. Passengers getting off here… all get murdered? Because it's murder-trap overload, full commitment to killing."
No comeback. Jito eyes are eternal now. If I start caring, I lose.
83F monsters: "Ground Eater Lv83." Giant mouths wide open, buried right in the middle of the passages. Surroundings? Trap city. "Trap Detection" is screaming in every direction. Sneak past the traps? Or get swallowed by Ground Eater? …They're just sitting there with mouths gaping forever? You okay with that? Really okay? "Poink." Toss in a super-lethal poison mushroom. No poison resistance, right? Ground's writhing now? "Poink." Second one. Uooooh~ earthquake?? …Oh, dead? …Big dent in the ground, big magic stone inside.
And there are still 14 more Ground Eaters just… waiting with mouths open? You sure? Really sure? For real?
Total wipeout.
Apparently Ground Eaters can't close their mouths or move at all. Or… couldn't? They had "Complete Physical Resistance" and "Complete Magic Resistance," but zero poison resistance. Are they… inviting it? Just sitting there mouths open, waiting? That's basically "please poison me," right? Definitely bait. I even asked "you okay?" multiple times. Last one was shaking, but whatever, it's fine.
There's a hidden room, but of course it has traps.
The floor looks blatantly suspicious. Color's screaming "different here!" Like, "TRAP HERE" in neon. Is this the pit? Jump over it and trigger something else? Both? Whatever—I just air-walk right over it. That's allowed, right? Don't have to step on it? I mean… if someone worked super hard to make these traps, feels kinda mean not to step on them? But I'm not stepping. Nope. Sorry, trap-maker.
Looking down the whole time while air-walking… bam, head into the ceiling. Ceiling trap. Of course.
"Treasure chest. I've mostly given up on affection points by now, but treasure chest. Gonna get all the precious metals confiscated anyway, but treasure chest."
Opened it full of sarcasm. Maybe the chest will take pity on me? Chest sympathy?
"Trap Ring – Automatically disarms traps"... FLAG!! Backward flag!! I'm the one going in reverse order here!!
Now "Trap Detection" is completely meaningless. Got it by falling into a pit, but if I'd had this, I wouldn't have fallen.
If you come from above, find hidden room, use Trap Ring to bypass Ground Eaters, easy pass. Ground Eaters are immune to physical and magic—can't kill them. Only way is to charge into surrounding traps. Then boom, Trap Ring. Yeah, well-designed. Clever. But… what about people coming from below? Just a little consideration? Getting the ring after passing through gives zero gratitude. Zero. Feels like "why now?" Ground Eaters died for nothing. Makes it look like I'm the one who can't read the room. Totally.
Jito-eyed Armor Committee Chair is doing that classic Western "yare yare daze" shrug gesture. Where'd the former dungeon emperor go? What was that deathmatch for? Yare yare indeed.
Up to 82F now? Almost 1/5? 20%? Falling down took an instant, though. Worth it, probably. Met a brand-new level of jito eyes.
And 82F is "Mirror Boar Lv82." Eh? Mirror? Reflection? Reversal? Boar is wild boar, right? Domestic pig? Anyway, probably charges. But mirror—magic reflection? Mirror images for confusion? Reversal illusions? Surely not charge, then suddenly reverse and run away.
Hmm… has "Magic Reflection," so definitely mirror meaning. Problem: has "Impact Resistance," so dropping won't work. And "Gluttony"—eats poison/status mushrooms like snacks. Might even tame them, but nah, normal people don't, right?
"Hmm… direct combat? Against Lv82? With 100 of them? Getting charged? Getting gored by tusks?"
Actually, the single most important resistance for dungeon monsters might be impact/fall resistance, huh?
Spear wall.
Huge charging boar herd.
Magic doesn't work, so spear wall.
We've got tons of minotaur spears. Drill holes in ground, angle spear butts diagonally, wait for Mirror Boars to rush in full speed—slam them all in line. Momentum + pushed from behind = can't stop, skewer themselves one after another. Breakthrough power gone. Just a meat lump now.
Stopped dead, can't move. Air-walk behind them. In hand: trusty "wooden staff?" Long time no see, isekai branch of Shinto Muso-ryu staff technique. I'm still insisting it's staff arts. No complaints from headquarters yet, so fine. No sniping today.
Boars supposedly can't back up. Wrong—they can emergency stop, turn, retreat. But they don't run backward. Movement definitely stalls. Even if they turn, no space to build speed anymore. Slow enough for me to fight. Too packed to maneuver → stroking slashes.
First, more chaos.
Dig pits and trenches to mess up footing even more → extermination war. If it gets bad, retreat to spear wall. I can fly.
Jump into the herd, keep moving, keep circling. Stop = lose momentum = can't slash. Get surrounded and pummeled. Textbook from watching Jito-eyed Armor Committee Chair over and over. Void-reality usage too—link steps, dance-run, sword dance, slip into gaps, deliver slashes, turn to carnage.
Move before thinking. Not much I can do anyway—overthink and freeze.
Learned—forced to learn—from that duel with the dungeon emperor. Chain slashes, build them, endless void-reality, one-sided slash lines that never let them catch you, turn into sword dance.
Flow gently, cut away waste and strain, simply, purely, cleanly slash-dance.
Step between boar and boar, half-turn discard-slash, step in again with next slash. No stopping, no pausing, body just flows. Probably not beautiful at all. Not graceful. But even if it's clumsy void-reality, ugly sword dance, keep stepping forward. Because I was shown there's still more ahead.
From the spear wall side, the original Jito-eyed Armor Lady's sword dance begins. The instant she leaps in, blank space forms around her. Speed difference is insane. Not even an instant's gap.
Gotta hurry or she'll kill them all.
"Phew~… Feels like… been a while? Since I actually fought? Inside a dungeon? Weird, huh?"
Jito-eyed Armor Committee Chair dumps a monsoon of jito eyes on me while I'm pondering, collecting stones. I get what she wants to say, but I'm not listening. Frontal fight = instant death.
Next is 81F. Slowly but surely climbing. Still long way to go, as always.
Somehow the jito eyes have become the new normal too.
