"Charlotte has left the territory," he said flatly. "She's with Alpha Dominique of the Ancient Blood pack."
"Charlotte," Dominique called, his tone calm.
"Don't!" she snapped, shooting him a glare as she wiped her nose with a tissue. He silently passed her another one.
"You scheming, heartless, wicked idiots… how could you do this to me?" she burst out, her voice breaking as she sniffed.
"Calm down," he said, eyes flicking to the rearview mirror, checking if anyone was tailing them.
"Don't tell me to calm down," she shot back, glaring at him. He glanced at her from the corner of his eye.
"I've never seen you like this," he said. "What happened to my sweet little sister? You're terrifying right now."
Her red, swollen eyes locked onto him, sharp and accusing.
"Stop looking at me like that and let me focus on driving," he muttered.
She smacked his arm.
"Ow! That hurt," he complained.
"Just wait till I tell Mom and Dad," she threatened. "They'll deal with you properly."
