[Chapter 102: Giving Black Widow an Elixir]
"One million dollars?" Robert Downey Jr. looked uneasy.
It wasn't that he thought the price was outrageous; it was just beyond what he could comfortably afford.
Daniel was somewhat speechless. While he had hoped to sell it at that rate, most weren't quite that well off. Chances were, very few would be willing to drop a million for a single Elixir.
Daniel said, "I said one hundred thousand dollars."
"Really?" Robert Downey Jr.'s eyes lit up immediately. One million was steep, but a hundred grand was manageable.
"Of course."
"I want to try one first," Robert said, reaching for the Elixir. "Do I just take it straight?"
Seeing Daniel's nod, he eagerly popped the Elixir into his mouth, anticipation shining in his eyes.
Before he could even savor the taste, the Spirit Transformation Elixir instantaneously converted into pure spiritual energy, coursing through his entire body.
Robert's face brightened with pleasure and excitement. "That's the feeling! It's amazing! I can feel every cell cheering inside me; this is incredible."
Suddenly, he rolled up his sleeve and exclaimed in surprise, "The bruise I had from bumping into something a few days ago? It's completely gone!"
"This is unbelievable, honestly, miraculous."
Daniel wasn't sure if Robert's cells were really cheering, but Robert continued shouting and celebrating for quite a while.
Yet from Daniel's perspective, much of the spiritual energy rapidly dissipated unused. Robert might have absorbed less than ten percent of it.
Still, even that fraction brought tangible benefits to his body.
The one hundred grand was definitely well spent.
Seeing Robert's enthusiasm, Susan grew extremely tempted as well. Standing near him, she sensed something unusual -- like even his breathing had changed. The very air seemed to nourish her heart and lungs, clearing her sinuses.
Before Robert's energy had worn off, Susan said to Daniel, "Mr. Cross, I want to buy one too."
"Yeah, give Susan one right now! This is amazing -- Susan, you need to experience this," Robert chimed in quickly.
Daniel didn't hesitate. He uncorked another Spirit Transformation Elixir and handed it to Susan.
Mimicking Robert, she swallowed it down.
Soon her face flushed with shock and delight.
"This..." she stammered.
"This..." she struggled to find words to describe how she felt.
But no matter how she tried, language seemed woefully inadequate to capture this moment. If there were ranks for pleasure in this world, this had to be the highest level.
She truly felt her body rejoicing.
Robert's description of every cell celebrating was far from an exaggeration.
After a long stretch, the spiritual energy within Robert was the first to fade.
Still, he was completely satisfied.
His body felt restored to peak condition, lighter, stronger. The health he'd lost over the years due to bad habits had mostly recovered.
Daniel noticed Robert's eyes gleamed a little brighter than before.
He was a bit surprised. The Spirit Transformation Elixir's effects on ordinary people were even better than he'd initially expected.
Soon after, Susan's energy ran out.
She was equally astonished. "My chronic sinusitis is actually gone! My nose has never felt so clear. All the inflammation in my body seems to have disappeared too. My eyesight even feels sharper. My skin, it's improved."
She rattled off a list of changes, each small but significant.
Minor ailments like these wouldn't be fatal, but they could greatly disrupt daily life and work.
And now, they were all gone.
"This is truly incredible," Susan summed up.
Robert nodded vigorously in agreement.
Both looked at Daniel with admiration shining in their eyes.
Robert said, "Mr. Cross, it's one hundred thousand per Elixir, right?"
"That's right."
"I want to buy more," Robert said, pulling out a checkbook. "Four more, no six more."
Daniel blinked. "Why so many?"
Robert smiled. "For my parents and Susan's parents. Something this good, they should try it too."
Daniel nodded. "Four should be enough, then."
"Susan and I will each keep an extra for ourselves later," Robert added.
Daniel suddenly felt a hundred thousand dollars per Elixir might actually be too cheap. But he also understood Robert already trusted him; that was why he believed so easily. With anyone else, who would spend that much for such a tiny vial?
It reminded Daniel of how few prayer seals he'd sold so far. In fact, Scarlett's trust in him back then was rare indeed.
Since Robert was willing, Daniel was naturally willing to sell.
He counted out six Elixirs, packed them into a small crystal bottle, and handed it to Robert.
Robert held it, eyes sparkling as he carefully examined the container, reluctant to let go.
A check for eight hundred thousand dollars was handed to Daniel.
Daniel flipped it casually into his pocket. "I won't keep you from dinner."
Robert was eager to get home and share the Elixirs with his family.
After bidding goodbye to Daniel, he and Susan left quickly.

From the three batches of Elixirs, Daniel had refined 21 in total. He kept two for himself, sold eight, and had eleven left.
The sales were happening much faster than Daniel expected.
After a moment's thought, Daniel called Scarlett.
After all, she had trusted him deeply when buying the prayer seals. Selling her some Spirit Transformation Elixirs now felt like a small repayment.
When Scarlett answered, she was surprised. "Mr. Cross, I was just about to find time to visit you again. Didn't expect your call."
"Visit me? Is something wrong?" Daniel asked.
Her voice dipped slightly. "It's my brother. The effect of his body protection seal has weakened."
Daniel frowned. "Hasn't your brother's situation been resolved? Is his girlfriend still at school?"
"Yes. But according to my brother, she hasn't been acting crazy lately, more like a normal person -- so she hasn't been expelled."
Daniel's brows knit.
He had previously judged that Scarlett's brother's girlfriend was possessed. Now, becoming more 'normal' meant the entity's power had increased.
The fusion between the entity and host was stronger, which explained the calmer behavior.
This wasn't good.
Daniel asked, "Is she still looking for your brother?"
Scarlett said, "Before, with your body protection seal, she didn't dare. But my brother says now that the seal's effect has weakened, she's been approaching him again, getting closer and closer."
