Two days later, school was back in session and lessons had returned to face-to-face learning in the classroom. Dennis, having returned to his class after break once the afternoon lessons had started up again, glanced over at Bella's desk, which had been empty since morning because she hadn't shown up for school.
He simply snorted and turned his attention back to the front. His mind was focused only on the sparring match scheduled for after school—an event the school had already broadcasted to anyone who wanted to watch, since the hunter guild recognized it as an official match.
Dennis also glanced over at Jason and Kimberly, who were sitting side-by-side in front of him. It was obvious that Jason was trying to focus, though his legs kept twitching under the desk, while Kimberly seemed to be trying to stop him by using her hand because Jason's legs were making their desk shake.
