Synopsis
After being used as the gods plaything for as long as he can remember, Roman, our main character, was finally slain in battle. His last thoughts being a promise of revenge against every kind of divinity. Authors note: Hi! This is my first foray into the wonderful world of writing, so, don't get your hopes too high. The cosmology and divine hierarchy will be a mix of DB: Kakumei, DB: Hakai, DB: Shinken, Ultra Vegito, Anime War, the "What if Goku was Betrayed and Trapped in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber" series by Ash, a lot of UnrealEntGamings stuff and more! Really just using their characters and concepts, not their actual storylines. I hope you enjoy! I know the "God Killer" trope is way overdone but, I like it, so I'm gonna write about it.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

A swift and brutal strike to the face from a giant, muscular man perpetually draped in shadow was enough to send Roman to his knees, marking the end of the multi-hour battle. Looking up at the new champion of the gods, their new jester, Roman, felt a strange sense of relief, knowing that the endless battles, entertainment for Zeus and his kin and torture for Roman, would finally come to an end. After centuries of being forced to take innocent lives and hearing the laughter of cruel gods behind him, he had come to hate all forms of divinity.

The shadowed figure, Genesis, placed his foot on Roman's chest, grinding his heel into Roman's sternum as he triumphantly opened his arms toward the crowd, glancing to Zeus for the elder gods' reaction. Mixed screams of "Spare him!" and "Kill him!" echoed through the stadium, but the warrior did not move, his eyes fixed on Zeus. Slowly, the ancient divinity extended his muscular, wrinkled arm, his thumb held parallel to the ground. The god paused for a moment, letting the crowd grow louder and louder, feeding on their anticipation.

Roman tried to summon the last of his strength to stand, his warrior instincts screaming at him to resist defeat, but Genesis only pressed his foot harder into Roman's chest. Then Zeus made his decision, turning his thumb toward the floor. With a flash of green light, Roman's head was torn from his body.

In his final moments of consciousness, Roman saw his life flash before his eyes. He saw himself inaugurated as a planetary god, then training under the South King Kai. He watched himself rise to become the Assistant to the Grand Supreme Kai and a candidate for God of Destruction. He saw himself fight in the Celestial War, the Angelic Rebellion, and the Tournament of the Five, climbing the divine hierarchy with each trial. He watched himself be saved by Castiel during the demonic invasion. And finally, he saw himself granted the title of Champion of the Gods, a false honor that marked the beginning of his torment, which was now, at last, coming to an end. As everything faded to black, Roman swore that if he were ever given another chance, he would slaughter every false god that had ever called itself divine.
