Magic or rather Magicks as they were called long ago are powerful, dangerous methods of bringing forth one's own desired outcome.
Apprentice Magic - Simple, easy to use and can be used as a cantrip. The strength of these spells is up to each user's preference. In battles between Apprentices, ending the opponent's life as quickly as possible is the best outcome. More often that not, both sides end up the victim of each other's Fireball spell. The basis by which Apprentice Magic works is by manifesting phenomena using mana but still conforming to reality's ruleset. E.g. Fireball turns water into steam and gets put out in rain. Freeze Ray only freezes water and nothing else.
True Magic - Complicated for most mortals yet the blood of the divine still has its sway and allows few mortals to wield powers that bend the world to their whim. Requires rituals, some long and others short. For the rare immortals who walk the earth with minds borne of one's own flesh, these spells are truly powerful weapons that are both deadly and quick to cast. One might wonder then, how does True Magic differ from Appentice Magic. By which creating one's desired outcome upon the world without succumbing to it. E.g. bending the world's chemical and physical principles by generating cold flames or sudden spaces of increased gravity. Scenario deemed impossible by modern science yet made possible by will. Magus are both incredibly powerful and dangerous. Interact with at your own peril.
Divine Magic - Deus lo vult. As God wills it might as well be the best term for this form of Magic. Records of it ever being casted are few and far in-between in the entirety of history with the few records being written down by the same immortals born from the world's creation. The most well-known example being the creation of conscience. Even now, discussions and theories are made upon the possibility of the soul but all sentient beings agree that the Creator, the first known wielder of Divine Magic, created conscience. Magic of this degree has no limit and has no end.
