Cold, blueish smoke comes out of Nisemono's mouth as he breathed slowly, filling the small ice arena created by him. Aquamarine's body still remains motionless inside the ice block as he approaches them.
"Well...to be honest i didn't know it would be easy to locate you humans."
"How...how are you able to be immune to the sun...unless...no."
Mitsune's says as her eyes widen at him.
"Yes, its what your thinking. This body...still has a soul in it and it comes with this sweet magic to."
Mitsune stares at the demon's tone in rage, her tone a hint of disgust
"How dare you say that so nonchalantly, that's what makes me so sick of you demons. You have no sympathy for the living."
"Ha! Your attempt of preaching to a demon is indeed pathetic. What's the purpose of me listening to a mere human eh? My task is simple...kill the vessel and the gods that accompanied him and i am going to do exactly that. Anybody that stops me will get a chance at the afterlife.
Mitsune body shivers slightly before forming a nervous smile.
" W-well our vessel here will have no issue in standing against you. Right Light?
Light stumbles back as a result to MItsune's statement, shaking her head aggressively.
"Wha...no no no. I just got my magic but that doesn't mean i know how to use it."
"You idiot! Even if you don't how to do it you should still try, if you don't we are going to die. Just look at how she easily overwhelmed Aquamarine."
Light could feel her body heat up abnormally, the pressure of the situation becoming too much for him.
"Oh is that so...then my job will be way easier.
Nisemono says before charging her right hand back as it gets covered with ice before finally releasing it forward, causing the icy ground to create crystals of ice towards them at an alarming speed.
Aquamarine's eyes begin to emit fire as her body glowed brightly, causing her body to slightly move, the block of ice slowly melting no from the heat of the sun but her.
In an instant before the sprouting ice came in contact in them, the ice Aquamarine was trapped in breaks, followed by a burst of flame appearing in front of them, leaving a train of flame behind as it came in contact with the ice crystals.
The flame crushes the ice in an instant, continuing to erase the rail created by Nisemono as it rushed towards him, causing him to grin widely before creating a large explosion.
After some time the flame in front of Light and his party slowly vanishes, revealing Aquamarine in front of them, her whole body surrounded by small floating pieces of fire.
Her eyes in flames as she grins
"Light, forget about our fight. It will be pointless to fight you if you can't even try to go against him. Let me enjoy myself with this guy, no mercy even if he is in the body of a kid.
Her words felt like a gut punch to Light as she looked down, clenching her hands into fists aggressively.
The explosion emitted at Nisemono begins to begins to fade away, revealing a damaged cube made from ice. The cube crumbles, followed by hands clapping, revealing Nisemono with no scratches on him as she continues clapping her hands.
"Looks like the lioness was able to break free from her cage and wants a fight. I was going to let you live but it looks like your part of them."
As he was going on with his small monologue, in an instant he feels a hot hand on her face before moving past him with the speed of light leaving a trail of flame sparkles, some sticking into him.
Aquamarine stops on her tracks a few metres away from him before snapping her finger, creating a burning explosion.
Another finger snaps, creating a second explosion but suddenly stops as she realizes she hand shaking.
Upon taking a quick breath he feels a feels the icy ground beneath him shake, her instincts immediately kicking in as she jumps to the side as giant spikes emerge from the spot she was in.
Then....another spike from the side of the small ice arena extends towards her at a fast pace, forcing her to her flames to move to the side, the spike barely managing land a hit to one of her legs, creating a minor wound.
Some smoke created by the explosion goes goes away, revealing Nisemono knelt down with her palms placed on the ground.
" Dodge all you want, my attacks will eventually land or ware you out."
With that, spikes emerge around him as they begin to aggressively extend towards her.
" Damn it...come on, one more wont hurt."
She murmurs while in the air before aiming her right palm at him, her other hand clenching it. If i focus all my flames into my palm, i might be able to get rid of him.
Her body glows as flames begin to surround his palm, before releasing a huge beam of flames at Nisemono.
The attacks goes through the spikes effortlessly, causing his eyes to widen as it reaches him to create a huge explosion which shook the arena as some pieces of ice crumbling down its walls.
She lands on the ground as as the smoke disappears, a huge hole being revealed as some ice pieces fall into the water.
She breathes heavily while wiping some sweat off her face as her flames surrounding her vanish, diverting her to normal.
Everyone else was puzzled by her performance while Light still in thought.
"Is it really her."
Ino murmurs as she glances at the worn out Aquamarine before the surface them shakes beneath her.
Out of nowhere Nisemono's hand emerges from beneath her, crashing the ice as she strangles him to the ground, his breathing heavy.
"Incredible magic but its not enough to defeat me."
He gives her a sinister grin before tightening his grip on her neck as it slowly begins to freezes, her body failing to respond to the sudden attack.
Light's eyes widen at the scene as he feels her whole body burning from the inside as she takes quick breaths.
"D-damn it...at this point he will kill her. I wish the two of us could do something but we know nothing about combat. Can't you do anything Ino?"
Mitsune murmurs at Ino as she glances at Aquamarine who is danger, unfortunately shaking her head at Mitsune's question.
"I am sorry but i can't at this state, the only one capable of doing something is...Light."
Light gulps at the mention of his name before hearing some footsteps approaching him from behind before feeling a hard slap on his face.
It was non other than Kitsune who had a disappointed expression, her hand resting on the spot she slapped him, her voice calm.
"Listen Light. I understand that this is too much for you but you made the choice to be a vessel regardless. This is a harsh world that doesn't favour cowards unlike yours. I know i am a bit harsh but know that as a vessel i have to put my faith in you. I believe that you could make the right decision.
"Faith?"
Lights speaks under her breath before clenching her knuckles as she takes a deep breath.
"All i have to do is end him right? That's my decision,"
He steps forward as her feet leaves hot foot prints on the ground. I can feel my insides burning but...if i just focus on directing this heat to specific parts of my body then maybe....
He begins sprinting towards the demon before his shoes get ingulfed in blue fire as he takes a leap, leaving the spot she jumped from in cracks.
"It worked....now how bout i..."
The fire leaves his feet, no sight of the shoes he was wearing as his right fist starts burning with the same fire, his eyes locked on to Nisemono. He gets slightly puzzled as he takes notice of me before using his other hand to create an ice barrier towards my attack.
The whole arena shakes slightly as his burning fist comes in contact with the ice barrier, Nisemono showing no struggle against to attack as Light begins to sweat.
" So you decided to budge in eh? Well atleast you tried."
Nisemono mutters out of annoyance as the ice from his barrier starts to slowly spreads to Light's fist, disabling his fire.
"No...this is bad. At this point we will all die. I doubt he will even spare us."
Mitsune stutters as Ino moves past them, groaning as wings made of fire emerge from behind her before dashing forward into the air.
Meanwhile Light stares in terror as the ice continues to spreads up to his hand. Suddenly he feels a hand on his back, Nisemono in shock as he glances at the figure who put his hand on Light.
"G-give it your all Light, even if it kills you! Ill lend you a boost!"
Ino shouts out as her body gets covered with an aura of fire, eventually spreading to Light's whole body, destroying the ice spreading through his hand as his fist returns to burning but this time the fire turning black.
" W-what is this?"
Nisemono mutters nervously as the arena shakes aggressively this time.
"AHHh!!!"
Light shouts out as he uses his remaining strength to crush the barrier, Ino taking the chance to let go of him and rush into grabbing Aquamarine to safety in a flash, staggering Nisemono slightly.
His barrier gets destroyed into pieces, his eyes widening as Light aims for his face causing him to create another ice barrier to break the ice.
Unfortunately the barrier was noticed to be useless as Light crushes it effortlessly. The arena becoming static for a sec as Light's fist comes in contact with Nisemono's cheek.
The fist leads him to the ground, causing it to instantly break into the water, causing a massive black explosion of flames, water droplets jumping up in shock.
The black flames start to go away, revealing a huge hole created by it, Mistune and Kitsune rushing to the scene into looking in the whole.
"Is he going to be ok?"
"I hope so....."
