Chapter 1 - All of the sudden

The day had dawned beneath a sky washed in the purest blue. The sun poured its golden light over the world, warm and generous, while birds perched along rooftops and wires, chirping in half-awake conversations. It was around ten in the morning — late enough for the city to be alive, yet early enough for a certain softness to linger in the air.

Far away from the chaos, in a quieter part of the city, a girl was still sleeping peacefully on her bed.

Suddenly—

Her alarm rang.

She frowned in irritation, picked up her phone, and turned it off angrily. She was about to close her eyes again…

When it hit her.

Today was her first day at her new college.

Her eyes widened.

"Oh no…"

Panic rushed through her body. What if she was late? What if she made a bad first impression?

She jumped out of bed, got ready as fast as she could, and stepped out of her house wearing her favorite light pink outfit. She looked soft, fresh, and completely unaware that her life was about to change.

The moment she reached the street—

Cameras flashed.

Microphones were pushed toward her.

Reporters surrounded her from every side.

"Do you know him?"

"What is your relationship with him?"

"Are you really his girlfriend?"

She stood frozen.

"What are they talking about?" she whispered to herself.

She didn't understand anything.

Just then, her cousin, who lived with her, ran toward her and pulled her out of the crowd.

They quickly escaped and got into the metro.

Still confused, she looked at her cousin.

"What is happening? Who are these people?"

Her cousin stared at her in shock.

"The post you made last night… a huge celebrity liked it. Not only that, he commented something really sweet. And… he publicly called you his girlfriend."

"What?!" she almost shouted.

"I don't even know him!"

With shaking hands, she opened her phone.

Notifications. Thousands of them.

Messages. Tags. News posts.

Her name was everywhere.

Then she saw a headline:

"Mr. Av Falls in Love with IG ID Arora."

Her heart started beating faster.

This felt like a fairy tale.

But she had never agreed to be part of this story.

Before she could think more, the metro stopped.

It was her college.

As she walked toward the gate of her new college, she felt strange. She had woken up as a normal girl… but now the world was looking at her like she was someone important.

And then she saw them.

A group of well-dressed men were standing at the gate.

She recognized them.

They were from that celebrity's team.

She walked toward them angrily.

"Excuse me. Who are you? And what is all this drama? Where is your celebrity? Tell him to meet me."

The men didn't answer.

Instead, they quietly surrounded her.

Within seconds, she and her cousin were taken toward a black van parked outside.

The door closed.

And the van drove away.
