The door—unused for a long time—was pushed open.
Slightly dazzling sunlight spilled onto his face, warm and faintly ticklish. Hyūga Y Gin, who hadn't stepped outside in a long while, instinctively narrowed his eyes.
It had rained moderately the day before.
Today, Konoha greeted them with clear skies.
Puddles on the ground reflected the blue sky above, like patches of blue painted onto white paper.
The stifling heaviness of days spent in closed-door training seemed to have been washed away by the rain, flowing off into the drainage channels.
"Looks like today will be a good day," Y Gin murmured to himself.
Beside him, Might Guy was already shouting fervently, his fighting spirit burning out of control. As they walked out of the compound together, Y Gin casually opened his status panel.

"It's finally done."
Looking at the newly added ninjutsu and the advancement of his kekkei genkai to Second Stage, a smile appeared on Y Gin's face.
This body—bearing Ōtsutsuki blood—was progressing in ninjutsu at a rate far beyond expectations.
In just two months, he hadn't merely mastered Lightning Release Chakra Mode, but had even developed Lightning Release: Chidori on that foundation.
Lightning Release Chakra Mode
A B-rank technique, also known as Lightning Release Chakra Mode.
By concentrating Lightning Release chakra throughout the entire body, the user coats themselves in lightning chakra, forcibly activating their cells.
Effects include:
Greatly enhanced physical vitality
Increased defensive capability
Vastly improved neural transmission speed
Access to Lightning Release: Shadow Clone Technique–level movement
When body and technique are refined to their extreme, the speed can rival even Minato Namikaze's Flying Thunder God, allowing one to evade attacks like Amaterasu in an instant—fast as a bolt of blue lightning.
Chidori vs. Raikiri
Chidori is a derivative technique of Raikiri, but the two are not the same.
Chidori: A-rank
Raikiri: S-rank
The difference lies in the degree of chakra shape transformation.
Both chakra nature transformation and chakra shape transformation are methods of enhancing ninjutsu:
Shape transformation: Giving chakra a physical form—blades, needles, spears—controlling range and force.
Nature transformation: Infusing chakra with elemental properties such as wind, fire, lightning, etc.
Chidori prioritizes versatility and function, whereas Raikiri pushes shape transformation to its absolute extreme, achieving unparalleled piercing and cutting power.
This is why Chidori can branch into multiple techniques:
Chidori Sharp Spear
Chidori Blade
Chidori Edge (channeling lightning into weapons to greatly increase sharpness)
Y Gin had conceived of developing Chidori only after mastering Lightning Release Chakra Mode.
After all—
If Uchiha Sasuke could master Chidori in just a few days in the original story…
Then there was no reason he couldn't.
As for Raikiri, two months simply wasn't enough.
It represented the pinnacle of Lightning Release shape transformation.
And then there was Purple Lightning, the technique Kakashi developed after losing the Sharingan—closer to the extreme of nature transformation instead.
"Even so… this kind of progress rate is just absurd," Y Gin couldn't help thinking.
No wonder even someone as relentlessly optimistic as Guy had shown a fleeting moment of confusion back then.
Naruto, also known as:
"Five Villages Beat Each Other Up: The Eye Legend"
"Come Back to the Village Temptation"
"My Village Chief Grandpa, Dad, and Teacher"
"Black Zetsu Saves His Mom"
A world that ultimately tells the story of the Ōtsutsuki family's domestic affairs—
Truly a world where bloodline supremacy reigned absolute.
"With this level of self-preservation secured, I can finally move on to the next phase of planning."
"Even if the system's manifestations are limited to this world's power framework… in essence, something like the Bleach world still revolves around the soul, doesn't it?"
"Let's see—if I create an entirely new species and power branch from nothing, then fabricate a complete, logically consistent backstory so that others believe it…"
"How many Reality Points can I harvest?"
As these thoughts ran through his mind, Y Gin glanced at Guy, who was blazing ahead in pure passion—so intense it almost looked like flames burned behind him.
"Guy-senpai—"
"Y Gin!"
Before he could finish, Guy suddenly turned around with a wide grin.
"From now on, just call me Guy. No more 'senpai.'"
Y Gin froze slightly, instinctively wanting to refuse—after all, it wasn't good for cultivating a humble image.
But seeing the seriousness on Guy's face, and the subtle change in the way Guy looked at him—
Y Gin fell silent for a moment.
So it's true… sincere people really are the bane of schemers.
He sighed inwardly, then met Guy's gaze and smiled.
"Guy."
Guy's grin widened.
"Guy," Y Gin continued, "did something happen in the village? Everyone seems to be heading toward the gate."
"No idea," Guy shrugged, then laughed.
"But why don't we go see? Let's race—first one to the village gate wins!"
Y Gin didn't spoil the mood. When Guy dashed off without waiting for an answer, Y Gin simply smiled and followed.
Though in truth—
He already knew exactly what the villagers were heading out to see.
The Kumogakure diplomatic delegation, arriving in Konoha to sign an alliance treaty.
Even though he had been in seclusion, his intelligence channels hadn't gone silent.
Y Gin understood better than most how vital information was—and had naturally prepared contingencies.
He knew very well that the greatest contributor to this alliance wasn't Hiruzen Sarutobi, who remained in Konoha—
—but Shimura Danzō, who had been dispatched elsewhere.
Despite Danzō's reputation as someone incompetent in foreign affairs and ruthless only internally, the truth was that he had been extremely active during the Second and Third Shinobi World Wars.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have earned the infamous title—
"The Darkness of the Shinobi World."
Hanzō of the Salamander had been pushed—through threats and inducements—into betraying Yahiko's original Akatsuki, a move that decisively altered the war's course.
Had Rain and Akatsuki truly allied, the outcome would've been far from certain.
From the results alone, Danzō had genuinely changed the direction of history.
Regardless of how dirty his methods were—
They worked.
This time was no exception.
By deliberately inflaming tensions between Iwagakure and Kumogakure, he had driven the two into hostility—ironically easing relations between the Land of Fire and the Land of Lightning.
Yet Y Gin knew—
This, too, was part of Kumogakure's own strategy.
"This day… has finally come."
Looking at the gathering crowd in the distance, Hyūga Y Gin smiled.
Author's Note (Translated)
Found another canon contradiction. In the original story, Neji followed his father to meet Hinata for the first time on her third birthday, was branded with the Caged Bird Seal, and Hizashi later showed killing intent toward Hinata and was punished—meaning Hizashi lived for quite some time after Hinata turned three.
But in the manga (as shown in the illustration I posted), Neji states that Kumogakure's kidnapping attempt occurred on Hinata's third birthday, meaning Hizashi's sacrifice happened only days afterward.
These two accounts directly contradict each other, so I'm temporarily following the latter—moving the branding of Neji's Caged Bird Seal to before Hinata's third birthday.
