"I heard you called him last night ?" Mira gently wiped her friend's body
Andriana nodded, bending so she could wipe her back.
"He sounded tired ...guess work is hectic now. His father told them they are in the middle of a branch acquisition" she said.
"Hmm, yeah. David hasn't been home in a while, either. That's what we get for dating such rich bastards " she chuckled.
Andriana gave her a light smile. Mira helped her get changed then laid her back down.
"How is the...." she didn't finish before Mira cut her off.
"Don't worry about anything but yourself. The business is going well. Samantha and Rosie are handling it so well. I even heard they have some help from her friends at school " she said.
"Huh...don't tell me it's that boy " Andriana asked.
Mira laughed, "The boy wanted to help and his handsome face brings in customers so we let him work ".
"I don't like it ...they are spending too much time together " she muttered.
"There is nothing to be worried about ...that boy is smitten by your sister but she doesn't seem to be interested. All she cares about is making you proud " said Mira.
Andriana sipped on her drink with a smile and Mira scoffed, "Look at you trying to hide that proud smile. Rosie is a sweet and responsible child so you don't need to worry so much about her ".
The door opened and Rosie walked in.
"Sister ...am here " she announced.
Andriana beamed opening her arms to her, and Rosie rushed into them, hugging her.
"Oh my, you have another guest Andriana, " let out Mira.
She looked back at the door to see Arthur holding flowers .... Lilies.
She frowned instantly glaring back at him. Rosie pulled back and gestured for him to come closer.
He walked in saying hi to Mira then moved closer to the bed.
"Good evening, Miss Davidson" he muttered.
"The staring boy " she murmured loud enough for him to hear.
"Sister ....I told you his name is Arthur " said Rosie.
"I am really sorry about that day and leaving a bad first impression on you. I am really sorry " he muttered.
Andriana looked down at the flowers.
Arthur noticed and pushed them forward to her , "I got these for you ....Rosie said you looked them"
"Thank you but it wasn't necessary. As you can see my boyfriend already filled the room with them " she pointed out.
"I see .." he sighed.
Mira moved taking the flowers, "No worries, we still have space for more and these are her favourites she can't reject them...right love ?" She glared back at Andriana.
She sighed and nodded.
Arthur beamed seeing his flowers being added with the others in the room.
"We will be leaving now ...I have a lot of homework and Arthur needs to go back home to " said Rosie hugging her sister.
"What ...that fast? ...but you just got here " she frowned.
"I will come back on the weekend after my shift at the restaurant. See you ...love you sister " Rosie said taking Arthur's hand she led him away.
Andriana frowned. Arthur looked back to see her glare back at him and his face paled.
The moment the door closed Andriana turned to Mira.
"You said they weren't that close ....but she was holding his hand.....they were holding hands " she yelled.
Mira giggled.
"That's normal " she let out.
"Normal ....that isn't normal. That's my little sister Mira. And she was holding a stranger's hand ".
Mira placed the flowers next to Karlye's bed.
"Aren't they lovely " she commented.
Andriana glared and turned away.

Rosie sighed letting go of Arthur's hand.
"I am sorry I held your hand, I just wanted us to get out of there fast' she apologised.
Arthur lingered on her hand as she let go.
"I think your sister doesn't like me " he commented.
Rosie scoffed nodding.
"But don't worry, she is just in a bad mood " she said as they walked off.
"Was it because of me ?" he asked, "I knew i shouldn't have come "
"No, it's because of her boyfriend " Rosie said.
Arthur opened the car door for her and she got in. He had taken it upon himself to give her rides since there first ride to school.
"You mean Mr Lockhart?".he got in too.
She nodded, "his is the reason she is in the hospital . I don't know the details but they must have got into a big fight . Now he's keeping his distance but sends flowers almost every day," she said.
Arthur started the car , "I noticed the flowers" he smiled. "I hope they solve it soon ".
Rosie sighed, "I hope so too "

David walked into Karlye's hotel room but suddenly stopped ,coughing.
"Come on Karlye open a window or something. Do you want to suffocate from all this smoke?" he coughed.
Karlye ignored him. David walked to the balcony and opened the door letting the smoke spread out.
He looked back to see Karlye in his seat lighting another cigarette.
"Okay, that's enough for now " he grabbed the box of cigarettes and also the one he was lighting crushing it in the ashtray. He took the lighter too.
Karlye glared back at him.
"Glare all you want but I'm not letting you die before your child is even born. Pick up another habit, this one isn't working for you " David yelled.
Karlye ran his fingers through his hair.
"I miss her " he muttered.
David sighed.
"Then go see her ...nothing is going to change if you keep hiding away like this " he said.
"I can't ....I can't face her yet. Not after what I did "he uttered.
"Then maybe go home ...I don't see why you're in a hotel. She isn't even home yet so why don't you go there and rest " suggested David.
He leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes.
"Everything there reminds me of her. And it's worse in my room, everything smells of her " he groaned.
"You need to stop this Karlye. It's been a week since the acquisition, you have no credible excuse to not go see her since we are not that busy anymore.....Have you seen yourself in the mirror ?" he asked.
Karlye ignored him. David got up grabbed all the cigarettes he could find in the room.
"I will take these with me, get some rest. Tomorrow we have an earlier meeting " he said leaving.
Karlye sat in silence as his head filled with thoughts about Andriana.
"How are you doing my love ?" he murmured.
