The rain was coming down hard, like a waterfall, and the scene below was just as wild. Mose and Thor watched from the terrace. "Looks like it's over for them," Mose said, his face grim. Thor nodded in agreement. "Yeah, the Mosquito gang is done."
Max Somsun was a whirlwind in the middle of the fight. The rain made everything slippery, but Max moved like he was on ice, totally in control. His red aura glowed super bright against the dark sky. Ultra Sonic and Golgo were no match for him. He shrugged off their hits like they were nothing, his skin was that tough, and his strength was crushing them. Golgo was fighting with everything he had, but Max was just too powerful. Golgo's dark aura flickered as Max kept the pressure on.
Meanwhile, Hawk was standing stock-still, surrounded by a deep red light. Everyone knew what that meant: he was about to lose it. Big time.
Max's mind flashed back five years to a freezing night on the streets. He was only twelve when two police cars screeched to a halt. Four cops tried to grab him, but Max was a natural fighter. He took them all down. Suddenly, a cop from the other car came over and knocked Max out with one hit to the head.
When Max woke up, he was next to this huge dude named Hankstroke. A cop told Hank that Max had just beaten up four of his bodyguards. Hank looked at Max and said, "He's just like that kid we caught earlier," probably talking about Vager.
Hank asked Max his name and how old he was, but Max didn't say anything about his family. Hank just smiled and declared that Max was now a Stroke, just like him.
"Nice to meet you, Max," Hank said, offering a handshake. Max ignored it and asked why he was there.
Hank explained that he was building gangs at Neo Berlin High. If Max became the leader, he'd get 10,000 Euros a month. All he had to do was recruit fifteen kids, ages nine to eleven, for the gang.
Max was like, "Why?" Hank laughed and said they needed the kids for "work" – mining, stealing, and even killing. Max was shocked. After a long pause, he said, "Okay, I'll do it."
Hank grinned and said that to become the leader, Max had to fight everyone else Hank had recruited. He knocked Max out again, and Max woke up in a room with three other kids: Vager Usman, Golgo Makenzhi, and Rahale Afsani.
Back in the present, in the pouring rain, Max was destroying Ultra Sonic and Golgo. He broke Murg's remaining hands and was pounding on him. Hawk's red light was getting brighter and brighter – he was about to explode.
The chapter ends with Max standing over the defeated trio, and Hawk ready to unleash total chaos.
