Chapter 24 - I Will Never Forgive You!

The Journey Beyond The Absolute

I Will Never Forgive You!

Aeona Axiom speaks with an ancient voice, echoing through the dimly lit chamber, as the weight of his presence fills the air. "A war with the Mastermind is upon us, a formidable conflict that will reshape the very fabric of history."

In response, I keep my demeanor calm, my voice steady yet resolute. "If there's to be a war with the Mastermind, then I will not be left behind. I am joining this battle. They've taken Liora, and I have no intention of letting her perish." As I speak, I grasp Liora's gift the precious token she had given me, imbued with her spiritand wear it with pride. The outfit I'm adorned in is striking and vibrant, designed for battle yet reflective of Lioras essence, as if a piece of her is fighting alongside me.

Aeona Axiom's voice resonates in the room, heavy with the burden of ages. "I dont believe you understand. This war will irrevocably alter the course of historyforever."

With purpose, I question him, my mind racing with determination. "Why not? What makes you think I can't fight for what matters?"

"Aeona Axiom counters, his voice laden with centuries of wisdom. "You are far too young, too inexperienced to navigate the chaos that comes with war."

In a burst of frustration, I raise my voice. "So, I'm supposed to do nothing? Liora is counting on me, and you believe I'll simply sit back and watch everyone die? Not a chance! What kind of person would I be if I stand idly by while I could save just one friend?" My fists clench tightly, the urgency of the moment fueling my fervor.

Aeona Axiom replies, his tone solemn and grave. "Do you truly think that I don't wish to save Liora? But we must be realistic not everyone can be saved. We have witnessed the strength of her men fighting them head on is a death warrant. Instead, if we can defuse the Mastermind's hold, we can dismantle her army from within."

With anger boiling to the surface, I retort. "And what of Liora? Do you think I'll abandon her?"

"Her death will not fade into obscurity," Aeona Axiom reflects, his voice heavy with regret. "But how can we rescue her when we have seen the extent of their power? There's so little we can do."

With a fire in my heart, I declare angrily. "I don't care about their power! I want her safe and sound! This isn't how I imagined this would play out I thought we'd save Liora, not leave her to die. I refuse to follow through with this plan I will rescue her alone if I must. It's always the same I can save everyone time and time again, yet I'm left to stand on my own when it truly counts. You've wasted enough of my time." I turn away, determined to forge my own path.

With a voice that carries the weight of a thousand lifetimes, Aeona Axiom calls out. "Ather, remember this not everyone can be saved. Sometimes, they are fated to perish."

Unwavered, I respond. "Then I will sever her from that fate! I will tear down this entire world if I must!" I stop, a fierce resolve washing over me, and I turn back to her.

Aeona Axiom's voice remains steady but laced with concern. "You will be facing an unending army of the Masterminds soldiers. What makes you think you will prevail? With your injuries, your wounds are clearly impairing your ability to fight."

I reply with calm determination. "More than anything, I despise inaction. I refuse to allow myself to lose someone dear to me again simply because I chose not to act. I won't allow that paralyzing feeling of helplessness to consume me ever again. Besides, I simply don't know when to surrender. I don't care how many they are I will save Liora, even if it means doing it my way, alone if necessary."

Aeona Axiom, filled with respect, acknowledges my bravery. "How admirable! Yet, you are charging into war with no plan, no strategy not only will it lead to your demise, but it's sheer recklessness."

I hold my ground calmly. "If I die, then I will die with reason, with purpose. But I refuse to change my mind. Even if the entire world turns against me, I will rescue Liora!"

A look of shock crosses Aeona Axiom's face. "Where has your fear gone? Should you not fear death?"

With deliberate calmness, I respond. "And what is so terrifying about death? It's a natural part of existence. However, I desire my death to have significance. I accepted my mortality the moment I embraced these drawbacks that come with each stronger form I take. Sometimes, I can barely feel my own body anymore, but I accepted death. When my time arrives, I don't know how long I can withstand the trials ahead. But when I leave this realm, it will be after I accomplish my goal of bringing her back. Until that moment, death will just have to work for me."

Aeona Axiom, realizing the depth of my resolve, speaks with an ancient tone. "I see now you are truly without fear, not even of your own death."

I respond firmly, "Correct."

Aeona Axiom contemplates my words, acknowledging my determination. "I understand now."

"Now, if you'll excuse me, I declare with purpose, I must save Liora myself. The longer I linger here, the more perilous her situation becomes." I begin to step away, resolute in my mission.

As I walk into the distance, I formulate a new plan in my mind, searching for a way to locate Liora that leaves no trace. I focus intently, sensing the world around me. Suddenly, I detect an overwhelming aura of bloodlust emanating nearby, and I open my eyes to find its source. I quickly teleport toward the presence. Upon arriving, I stand before the imposing castle doors. "I'm here to finish what I began. This time, the Mastermind will meet her end!" I charge inside, prepared for the confrontation ahead.

Without warning, I am surrounded by countless soldiers, their numbers overwhelming as they pin me to the ground, subduing my movements.

"Ah, well, well, well," the Mastermind grins, her features obscured in the shadows. "Hello, Ather Vael. It seems this is our first encounter, and I must say, you have proven to be quite the catch. Though that foolish god attempted to interfere with our plans concerning Project Absolute Void, we have contingencies in place this time."

On a large screen, the Mastermind appears on it, with Liora's frantic voice cuts through the tension. "Ather, run! This is all a-"

The Mastermind swiftly silences her, placing tape on her lips. "Shh, now. No need to spoil the fun. I want you to witness the true nature of our power." She gestures to Axer, commanding him to initiate the process. On the screen, her shadowy face flickers ominously.

Axer flips a switch, causing a dark circle to materialize. It expands immensely before rapidly contracting, then shattering to reveal a colossal dragon that embodies the essence of the void, its sleek form shimmering with an otherworldly darkness. The beast's scales are a deep, obsidian hue, shifting as if they absorb all light around it, and its eyes burn with an ethereal brightness, emanating sheer malice and power.

The Mastermind's grin widens triumphantly. "Meet our resurrected leader, Abyssion, the Absolute Dragon God!"

With a deafening roar, the Absolute Dragon God shakes the very foundation of the castle, causing the walls to tremble and dust to fall from the ceiling.

"The Mastermind revels in her triumphant return. "Our master has returned, and we have brought you a gift!" She gestures for her soldiers to bring Liora to him, the chains of fate tightening around us all.

In a moment filled with raw emotion and urgency, Liora's voice pierced the air, carrying an unmistakable weight of sorrow and regret as she called out, "Ather... Im so sorry..." Her words, laden with a heartfelt apology, resonated with a mixture of desperation and longing. As the utterance escaped her lips, it was clear that the circumstances surrounding this heartfelt plea were significant, pulling at the very fabric of her emotions. Her heart ached, and the sincerity in her tone revealed the depth of her remorse, suggesting that something profound and perhaps irreversible had transpired between them. Lioras eyes glistened with unshed tears, reflecting both the pain of the moment and the hope that Ather might understand her feelings and find it in his heart to forgive her.

"Let her go!" I cry out desperately, trying to muster the strength to rise against the weight of their grip.

Despite my fierce determination, the unending soldiers hold me down tightly.

As if in a horrific slow motion, the Absolute Dragon God lunges forward and bites down on Liora, her cries of anguish echoing through the air, her other limbs falling away from its maw as she is swallowed whole.

"No…this can't be… Liora… dead? What kind of hell is this!?" My heart shatters, and fury ignites within me. "There's no way I will forgive you! I swear I will kill you!" My fists tighten so fiercely that they bleed as tears pour down my face, the light in my eyes dimming, replaced by an inferno of rage. My eyes turn a fierce crimson red, wreathed in a red aura as I push off the Mastermind's infinite soldiers, leaving a trail of their blood behind as they are sent sprawling away from me.

"Oh, it seems we'll need to deal with him too," the Mastermind remarks lightly, unfazed by my transformation.

The Absolute Dragon God steps forward, exhaling a torrent of void fire that obliterates the repaired walls of the castle, launching me outside into the ethereal expanse of the MetaPleroma.

I stand, unfazed, as I weather the flames, feeling the heat wash over me but not consume me. Yet the sheer force of the attack sends me hurtling back through dimensions until I crash onto the solid ground of the Hyperpleroma.

The Hyperpleroma, a realm beyond the bounds of existence and nonexistence, encompasses the MetaPleroma within it. It is a place where all known concepts become inconsequential, a dimension that transcends understanding each iteration of the Hyperpleroma surpassing mere comparison with one another in ways that defy the very nature of reality.

As I climb to my feet, the Absolute Dragon God retaliates, its claws bouncing off across my chest, tearing through the very fabric of the infinite Hyperpleroma.

With an expressionless face I say "I can feel my emotions slowly leaving me, i must finish this fast." I say devoid of emotion, and a sense of urgency rises within me. Landing firmly on the Hyperpleroma, I refuse to back down.

The Absolute Dragon God rears back, releasing a more catastrophic plume of void fire, larger than before, erasing an infinite swath of the Hyperpleroma in a single breath.

"I will have my revenge!" I declare, undaunted. I brace myself against the destructive force, standing firm. With unwavering determination, I seize the dragon by its neck with one hand, summoning all my strength. With my other hand, I plunge my fist straight through its heart, unleashing a cataclysmic surge of energy that obliterates every surrounding element in the process a destruction that reverberates through beyond an absolute infinity of the Hyperpleroma. I extract the heart, crushing it in my grip, blood gushing forth in torrents.

The oncemighty dragon god, a creature whose very presence inspired awe and terror across the realms, collapses to the ground in a devastatingly silent manner. With a titanic crash that reverberates through the land, its immense body slumps forward, finally succumbing to the wounds it had sustained. The air grows thick with an eerie stillness as the spectral glow in its eyes dims, leaving behind only the chilling remnants of its oncemajestic essence.

As it lies there, motionless and lifeless, a dark, viscous stream of blood begins to flow from the gaping cavity where its heart used to reside, pooling around its enormous form. This lifeblood, once a vibrant crimson, now appears dull and lifeless, symbolizing the end of an era and the fall of a being that had transcended the ordinary boundaries of existence. The ground beneath it drinks in the blood, soaking it as if to mourn the loss of such a formidable entity that had commanded reverence and fear. In this stark moment, the world bears witness to the tragic downfall of a god, a symbol of power forever extinguished, leaving behind a haunting silence and a void that echoes with its passing.

The Mastermind watches in horror, her eyes wide with disbelief. "Impossible! He was the greatest of his time!"

With an unmoving face, I turn my gaze towards her. "You're next." I reach through the camera, pulling her out of her hiding place with strength that defies comprehension.

As she materializes before me, the Masterminds eyes widen in sheer disbelief. "How is this even possible?!"

"I am the impossible," I state, my voice cold and resolute.

The Mastermind bursts into maniacal laughter. "Oh, well, my demise won't change a thing! I am everywhere, and one day, you will figure it out!"

"This is for Liora!" I proclaim with finality as I snap her neck, the sound echoing ominously in the silence of the battlefield. The Mastermind's body crumples lifelessly to the ground, a chilling silence falling over the remnants of our confrontation.
