Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Future Self... Good Eye!

Wangshu looked at the question marks flooding the group chat, then looked at the little girl in front of him who was solemnly planning their future. Suddenly, he felt that transmigration might not be so bad after all.

"Um..." Wangshu spoke tentatively. "Since you aren't sending me to the Realm-Keeping Commission, could you take me in for a bit? I'm new here and have nowhere to go."

"Co-co-co-cohabiting?!"

Little Jingliu reacted like a cat whose tail had been stepped on. The faint blush that had just subsided exploded once more, spreading instantly from her cheeks to the tips of her ears.

She stammered, her eyes darting around wildly, but then she seemed to think of something—if this person really came from her future, then he truly had no one to turn to right now.

"T-Then you have to follow the rules. No funny business."

Her voice stuttered as she tried to maintain a facade of calm, keeping herself from running into the room.

A few minutes later, Wangshu had a temporary place to stay.

The room wasn't large, but it looked exceptionally simple and cozy, located close to Little Jingliu's room. There was also a large room to the side that was unoccupied; it seemed to be the room of Jingliu's late parents.

Bros, I've transmigrated. It's just that my tastes were almost led astray... and I probably can't go back. But don't worry, bros, I'll endure the hardships of transmigration for you. You guys just enjoy your blessings in the original world.

Jingliu forced herself to arrange everything, then quickly rushed back to her room, patted her burning little face, and buried her head in the quilt.

"It was too sudden. I should have asked a few more questions," she told herself to calm down.

Just that one question... what if he had guessed it?

A sprout of suspicion poked its head out in her heart, but it was quickly suppressed by the face of her future partner and the fact that he knew about the salted vegetable fried rice, making her heart beat even more chaotically.

Asta: "Are you guys playing charades?"

[Jingliu has applied to enter Wangshu's world. Waiting for Wangshu's con... Time parameter error. Request failed.]

Jingliu held back the feeling that the sky was collapsing, along with a trace of imperceptible anticipation, waiting for the system repair.

Jingliu suddenly felt a bit mentally exhausted and tapped on 'Do not kick'.

Wangshu: "..."

Jingliu: "..."

Asta: "Hey, hey, hey!"

Jingliu: "@Wangshu, what year of the Star Calendar is it on your side?"

Wangshu: "I don't know, I just got here too."

Jingliu: "There is an electronic clock in the living room."

Wangshu: "..."

Asta: "?"

Wangshu returned to the living room. Although the architecture looked somewhat antique from the outside, the technology inside was truly not lacking. He looked at the clock in the living room.

Wangshu: "Star Calendar Year 6299."

Jingliu reminisced. Although her memories were messy—especially the beautiful memories regarding Cangcheng, which had long been worn away to almost nothing amidst endless fighting and slaughter—she was far too familiar with the year 6299.

In Star Calendar Year 6300, Cangcheng was devoured by a living planet.

The massive starskiff was very empty. At this moment, the only person imprisoned in this place resembling the Shackling Prison was her.

She stood up, the shackles on her wrists clanging incessantly.

"Let Jing Yuan come."

A few minutes later.

[Promising Future Chat Group]

Jingliu sent an exclusive Red Envelope: [General History of Cangcheng]

Wangshu received the exclusive Red Envelope.

Jingliu: "If there are parts you don't understand, you can ask me."

[Detected mutual assistance behavior between group members. Group atmosphere tending towards positive. This group is self-adapting and optimizing...]

Asta: "..."

Wangshu: "..."

Jingliu: "..."

Wangshu: "You two have been in the group for so long, yet haven't sent a single Red Envelope?"

You two are just lurking in the group!

Asta: "Arlan told me that Lady Jingliu is very dangerous and is a wanted criminal of the Xianzhou. But looking at it now, perhaps the rumors were mistaken."

Of course, these were just polite words. If she had to do it over, Asta wouldn't trust Jingliu so quickly either. Not much had spread regarding the Luofu's affairs, but everyone was clear in their hearts about the matter of the Sword Champion falling to Mara.

Jingliu: "Then your information is outdated. I surrendered months ago."

Originally tempering the blade for The Hunt; with Propagation, Destruction, and Abundance empowering The Hunt for a burst...

But who could have thought that at this final juncture of life, a variable would appear.

The Aeon of Remembrance records the universe, yet Wangshu, this fish that slipped through the net, appeared and went back thousands of years. How could this not agitate her mind...

Aside from the fact that her young self's blushing face gave her a bit of a heart attack, everything else seemed to foretell that her constantly declining life had reached a turning point.

Asta: "...There hasn't been much academic exchange between the Space Station and the Xianzhou recently, so perhaps information really isn't flowing."

She pondered secretly. She heard that Miss Himeko would be passing by the Xianzhou along her route in a while; she would ask around then.

Wangshu, however, felt a bit uneasy looking at the group chat.

Is your timeline that far ahead? Asta is there, and Jingliu has surrendered. Hasn't this plotline already reached Amphoreus?

While he was dazing out, the room door was suddenly pushed open. Little Jingliu had returned. Her small hands were behind her back, and she was trying hard to make her expression look serious.

"Since you say you come from the future... Cough, cough!" She cleared her throat, her crimson eyes staring tightly at Wangshu. "Besides... besides the dishes Mother made, do you have any other evidence? The more substantial kind."

Wangshu hesitated for a moment, then waved the [General History of Cangcheng] produced in Star Calendar Year 8100 in his hand.

Whoa!

Little Jingliu took the book, flipped through the front casually, and then turned directly to the last chapter, scanning it seriously.

Even though she hadn't passed the adulthood qualification exam yet, her expression grew increasingly grave.

But a moment later, she remembered her own affairs. Her crimson eyes secretly sized up the young man in front of her. A moment later, her small cheeks puffed up slightly, and she nodded with satisfaction. Her future self... had good taste!

Thinking of this, her tone became sincere:

"Sorry, I shouldn't have suspected you again."

The man in front of her had produced what could be called the most important thing—a history book.

Thinking of this, she closed the history book. She prepared to go report in a bit, and incidentally ask about the registration process for the adulthood qualification exam.

"You really should be sorry." Wangshu sighed. "You probably still don't know my name even now."

Jingliu froze for a moment. Her expression instantly became even more awkward, her gaze drifting uncertainly as her fingertips ceaselessly kneaded the corner of her clothes.

Seeing her embarrassed yet cute appearance, Wangshu couldn't help but laugh. He took the opportunity to reach out and forcefully rubbed her head of soft, blue-and-white long hair.

"But I forgive you. I am Wangshu."

The warm sensation from the top of her head made Little Jingliu's body stiffen slightly, but she didn't dodge. She felt she had to learn to adapt.
