Chapter 1 - CH- 1

1- Promise Under the Rain

In a small town where the evenings were painted with golden sunsets, there lived a girl named Lina and a boy named Arif. They were not strangers, yet not close friends either. Every day, they crossed paths on the quiet road near the old library, exchanging shy smiles that said more than words ever could.

Lina loved books. She believed that stories carried emotions people were often too afraid to say aloud. Arif loved the rain. To him, rain was honest—it fell freely, without pretending. Somehow, their hearts spoke the same language, even before they truly spoke to each other.

One cloudy afternoon, rain suddenly poured from the sky. Lina stood under the library's roof, worried about getting home. That was when Arif appeared, holding a simple blue umbrella.

"Would you like to share?" he asked softly.

She hesitated for a moment, then nodded. As they walked together, the sound of rain filled the silence, yet the silence felt warm, not awkward. That short walk became the beginning of something gentle and beautiful.

Days passed, and their meetings became regular. They talked about dreams, fears, and little hopes. Arif dreamed of traveling far, while Lina dreamed of writing stories that touched hearts. They encouraged each other, becoming strength where the other felt weak.

One evening, under the same rainy sky, Arif stopped near the old road. He looked at Lina and said, "Some people come into our lives quietly, but they change everything."

Lina smiled, her eyes shining. "Like a story that stays with you long after the last page," she replied.

They did not promise forever with big words. Instead, they promised honesty, respect, and care—values stronger than any dramatic confession. Love, they learned, was not about grand gestures, but about understanding, patience, and growing together.

Years later, whenever it rained, Lina would write, and Arif would smile, knowing that their love began not with fireworks, but with a shared umbrella and a promise under the rain.
