Chapter 201 - Chapter 189: Capturing Number Zero

When Starlight walked into Supersonic's house, a black-and-white border collie barked at Supersonic, as if it no longer recognized its owner.

Supersonic glared at it, and the border collie tucked its tail and hid in a room.

Starlight knew exactly what was going on, but still said, "Is Gigi sick?"

Gigi was the border collie's name.

Supersonic shrugged, "Who knows."

"Forget about that."

"Let's cook first. I'll get some things from the fridge."

Starlight nodded, "Sure, let me see what ingredients you have."

At that moment, Alex's voice came through her Bluetooth earpiece, ["Give it a chance. Lure it into making a move."]

["It brought you home on its own."]

["That means it can't hold back anymore. It wants to transfer into your body."]

["Supersonic probably can't last much longer."]

["Finish this quickly."]

Starlight secretly sighed, 'Homelander really was amazing.'

'I clearly didn't get a phone call, so how is he communicating through the earpiece?'

Of course, she had no idea Alex was using the ability "Information Control."

Now that Alex had given her a reminder, Starlight also knew what she should do next.

She deliberately picked up some ingredients and started washing and sorting them.

At that moment, Supersonic moved closer from behind.

Starlight already sensed it, but showed no reaction at all. She even started humming a song.

Alex's voice rang through the earpiece again, ["It's about to make a move."]

["Relax your body. Don't let it notice anything strange."]

["I'm inside the house, so don't worry."]

'Homelander is inside the house?'

Starlight was startled inside.

'I didn't notice him at all.'

'Where is he hiding?'

'In the bedroom?'

'Or the study?'

Since Homelander was inside the house, she had nothing to fear anymore.

'I really misunderstood Homelander before.'

'It's all because of Stormfront!'

'She misled me!'

She hasn't appeared in a long time. Maybe she's already hiding somewhere.

While her thoughts wandered, Starlight already felt Supersonic come up behind her.

At that moment, Supersonic's chest was almost pressed against her back.

Suddenly, he placed both hands on Starlight's shoulders.

And held her down hard.

Starlight instinctively struggled. Her eyes lit up, and the lights in the kitchen immediately began flickering.

Supersonic's clothes started writhing, especially the sleeves. They surged like liquid.

Then spread onto Starlight's shoulders.

Starlight was about to attack.

["Wait, don't attack yet."]

["That thing is leaving Supersonic's body."]

["Don't act rashly yet. Wait until it fully leaves Supersonic before making a move."]

Homelander's voice sounded in her ear.

Starlight chose to trust Alex. The glow in her eyes faded again.

Whoosh!

At that moment, the "clothes" on Supersonic's body surged up and turned into a wave-like mass.

Under that "wave" were billions upon billions of tiny fibers as thin as hair.

They crawled out through the pores on Supersonic's body. Instantly, tiny blood spots the size of needle tips appeared all over him.

Number Zero had completely separated from Supersonic.

Supersonic immediately shut his eyes and fell unconscious.

Number Zero turned into a flesh-like wave and was about to fall down over Starlight and wrap around her entire body.

Right then, two golden beams suddenly shot in from outside the kitchen and landed on the wave.

The flesh membrane instantly started writhing violently. The parts hit by the heat vision quickly glowed red.

Inside the light, tiny hair-like things could be seen squirming rapidly within the membrane.

Then, from somewhere inside that flesh membrane, a shrill scream rang out.

After that, the thing gave up on Starlight and dropped to the floor.

The golden beams disappeared in an instant.

Only then did Starlight turn around and retreat into a corner.

Her eyes lit up, and dazzling light spread from both hands.

After preparing herself to defend and respond, Starlight looked outside the kitchen.

The duplicate without a cape stood there, then flew into the kitchen, looking down at the thing on the floor from above.

At this moment, Number Zero looked like a mass of writhing flesh. Countless tiny fibers extended from underneath it.

Those things squirmed, letting the lump of flesh quickly rush toward Supersonic.

Number Zero wanted to parasitize Supersonic again.

Lifeforms like them could only use the genes and abilities stolen from a host while parasitizing one.

But before it could get close to Supersonic, two golden beams swept past in front of it, leaving behind two black scorch marks across the floor.

Number Zero stopped, then changed direction and rushed toward Starlight instead.

Starlight shouted and pushed both hands forward. Two streams of light blasted out.

Starlight's light streams did limited damage, but they had decent impact force and carried strong kinetic energy.

The moment they hit Number Zero, the mass of flesh was blasted backward and slammed into the wall.

Then Number Zero quickly crawled upward, aiming for the window above.

"It's trying to escape!"

Starlight shouted. Her eyes lit up again, but before she could fire another light blast, she noticed the mass of flesh had reached the window but couldn't get out.

The window was clearly open, yet it was as if an invisible wall existed between the window and the outside world.

No matter how hard the flesh struggled, it couldn't pass through the window.

And that was exactly the case.

The duplicate had already spread its "biological force field" across the inside of the kitchen, isolating it from the outside world.

At that moment, under Alex's control, the "biological force field" contracted and finally captured the mass of flesh.

Number Zero kept crashing around inside the sphere formed by the "biological force field," but there was no way it could break through it.

The duplicate glanced at it, then said, "Take Supersonic to the hospital."

"He won't die, but he'll need some time to recover."

Starlight nodded repeatedly, "Thank you, sir."

She carried Supersonic on her back and hurriedly took her good friend to the hospital.

Only then did Alex speak through the duplicate's mouth.

"Can you talk?"

"You should be able to create vocal organs or something similar, right?"

Inside the "biological force field," Number Zero's voice was almost a scream.

"Let me out now!"

The duplicate chuckled, "Good. As long as you can talk."

"Now, let's have a chat."

"How many 'Xenomorphs' like you are there?"

The flesh inside the "biological force field" suddenly became quiet. Then Number Zero's sharp voice sounded again.

"How do you know about 'Xenomorphs'?"

"You've come into contact with the 'Undying Ones'?"

"Are you one of the 'Undying Ones'?"

Golden light appeared in the duplicate's eyes. Carefully controlling the output of the solar radiation, it fired two thin golden beams that passed through the "biological force field" and landed on the flesh.

With nowhere to escape, Number Zero immediately screamed. The flesh writhed wildly as parts of its biological tissue rapidly died under the heat vision, turning black and falling away.

"Stop!"

"Stop now!"
