Chapter 203 - Chapter 191: Coming to Demand an Explanation

"Sir, I entered the Seven Tower in order to change hosts."

After saying that, Wrath's mass of flesh shrank inward layer by layer, giving off the sense that it was afraid of Alex.

A slight smile appeared at the corner of Alex's mouth, "Is that so?"

Wrath quickly replied, "Yes, sir."

"That's why I invited Starlight over today. I planned to transfer into her body."

"You saw it yourself just now, didn't you?"

"I didn't deceive you, and I wouldn't dare deceive you, sir."

"I can now confirm that you are the strongest and greatest lifeform on this planet."

"There is no second one!"

"Even the queen of the 'Undying Empire' from back then couldn't compare to you."

Alex laughed through the duplicate, "You really know how to talk."

Seeing Alex smile, Wrath continued.

"I'm only describing a fact."

"Sir, I can provide many kinds of services for you."

"I'm useful in many ways."

"If you need me to gather intelligence for you, I can parasitize animals."

"Who would pay attention to a cat, a dog, or some other animal nearby?"

"If you need me to fight for you, I've already collected many kinds of superpower genes. I believe I'm fairly strong."

"I can also provide information about my kind. If they descend on this planet, I can help you conquer them."

The duplicate nodded and said, "Not bad! Not bad!"

"Wrath, you really are useful."

"You're more valuable than I imagined. Turns out you can do so many things."

"Mm, it really would be a pity to kill you."

Inside the biological force field, Wrath quickly said, "Yes, sir."

"I'm more useful to you alive."

"Oh right, I can also awaken your potential."

"I don't need to parasitize you. As long as you allow it, I can release a substance that stimulates potential into you."

"I believe your potential must be enormous. At that point, forget this planet, even in the entire universe, you would be unbeatable!"

Clap! Clap! Clap!

The duplicate applauded, "That really was beautifully said."

"To be honest, I'm tempted."

"But I don't trust you."

As he spoke, Alex's eyes lit up. Two ultra-high-temperature heat vision beams blasted out.

This time, Alex increased the level of solar radiation output. The moment the two beams shot out, flames immediately rose inside the kitchen.

As soon as the beams entered the biological force field, they landed on Wrath's body.

The mass of flesh instantly bounced around wildly, trying to escape the heat vision, but there was no way it could break through Alex's biological force field.

So the flesh mass didn't even last one second inside the biological force field.

Almost instantly, it exploded into ashes.

Under the ultra-high-temperature radiation of the heat vision, Wrath didn't leave behind even a single cell. Alex burned it completely clean.

Alex repeatedly scanned the inside of the biological force field. Only after confirming there were no cells of Wrath left in the air did he remove the biological force field.

Immediately, the sealed heat energy inside that spherical space burst outward all at once, turning into rolling flames.

They poured out through the windows, through the pipes, and through every place where air could flow.

BOOM!

Supersonic's house exploded with a loud blast. Flames rolled outward like waves, and black smoke spread everywhere.

High in the sky, after the duplicate returned "Odin's Eyepatch" to Alex, it vanished into the air.

Alex put the golden eyepatch back into his inventory and glanced at the smoke-covered house below.

Then he quietly thought to himself that it was a pity.

Wrath really had been useful.

If possible, Alex would have liked to keep it around.

But Wrath chose deception instead of honesty.

That made Alex unable to trust it.

And if he couldn't trust it, Alex chose to destroy it.

Anyway, Wrath had said its kind would descend soon.

At that time, if needed, he could just capture some more Xenomorphs for research.

So although it was a pity, Alex didn't feel any regret at all.

"Still…"

"How did this guy know to possess Supersonic and enter the Seven Tower?"

"Was it Arnold's suggestion?"

Alex chuckled, and the image of a pale man with a small braid flashed through his mind.

———

That night, Arnold sat inside his stretched limousine. Two supermodels knelt beside his legs, trying every way they could to please him.

Soon, they arrived back at his luxury mansion in New York.

Arnold walked while holding the two beautiful supermodels in his arms, one on each side, making others jealous.

The bodyguards in sunglasses led the way in front, escorting Arnold into the elevator and directly to the top floor.

The moment he walked into the hall, Arnold suddenly saw someone standing in front of his self-portrait with their back to the entrance.

That figure had slicked-back blond hair, and a red cape hung all the way to the floor.

'Homelander!'

Arnold immediately took a deep breath.

The bodyguards had already raised their pistols and pointed them at Homelander.

Arnold quickly shouted, "Lower them."

Then he nervously asked, "Homelander, when did you get here?"

Alex pointed at the painting above and said, "This painting is pretty good."

Only then did he turn around and smile at Arnold, "Good evening."

"Good evening…", Arnold's throat bobbed as he carefully asked, "Is there something I can help you with?"

"Yes, of course there is."

"For example, you could tell me what Number Zero really is," Alex winked at him.

Arnold instantly felt like he had fallen into an ice cellar. A chill ran down his back.

He forced out a smile and said, "Didn't I already explain that back in Manhattan?"

"Number Zero is the prototype technology for our Olga Company's powered armor."

"I was even willing to share it with your Vought Company, but you people didn't seem interested."

Alex put one hand on his waist and raised a finger with the other, shaking it side to side.

"No! No! No!"

"Mr. Arnold, this attitude of yours really disappoints me."

"I think we should be more honest with each other now."

"After all, I already burned Number Zero into ashes."

"And yet you're still trying to play word games with me."

"That's really disappointing."

"I originally thought you were a smart man."

Arnold's whole body shook, then he said, "I don't understand what you're talking about."

"Homelander, this is my private property."

"Even you can't just break in whenever you want."

"Please leave immediately."

"I can pretend nothing happened."

"Otherwise, these people are witnesses."

His gaze swept over his bodyguards and the two supermodels beside him.

"Oh? Really?"

"So you still have witnesses."

"Right, I almost forgot about that."

"That was my mistake."

As he spoke, Alex kept smiling, but golden beams continuously shot from his eyes.

Arnold watched helplessly as those beams flashed past before him, piercing through the bodies of his bodyguards and the two supermodels beside him one by one.

In the blink of an eye, corpses covered the floor around Arnold.

Only then did Alex smile and ask, "What about now?"
