Chapter 1 - caste system

In India, wherever you look, people are fighting over caste.

Someone says their caste is superior, someone else says theirs is.

Humanity seems to be disappearing from people's hearts.

First, people fought in the name of religion, and now they are fighting in the name of caste as well.

General category people are often seen as if they possess all the wealth of the world, as if they have taken over all the property.

But why are we being punished today for what our ancestors may have done?

All castes are the same, so why are they shown as different?

Why are people divided based on caste?

We are humans just like everyone else, so why are all the restrictions only for us?

The UGC Act was implemented in January.

Brother, why can't we live like others?

We also have the same rights to everything, just like them.

So far, I talked about how people from the general category face injustice.

Now I want to say how some people from the general category view other castes.

When it comes to the general category, many believe that other castes are inferior to them.

They refuse to eat with them, refuse to live with them, and practice untouchability by not even touching food cooked by them.

And if, by chance, a girl from the general category falls in love with someone from another caste, she is either beaten and forced to marry within her caste, or in some cases, even killed.

This is also wrong.

If we truly want equal rights, then we must look at everyone with the same perspective.

There should be no untouchability, no discrimination.

Everyone is equal.

A lot of good has happened so far, but a lot more still needs to be done.

We still have to eliminate discrimination.

We need to work together and move forward together.

We should be free to marry into other castes without fear.

India still needs a lot of reform and change.

But the government keeps interfering.

They seem to have a problem with everything people do.

Sometimes it's one act, sometimes another—always dividing the country on the basis of caste.

If this continues, one day they will end up selling the country itself.
