Jay-Jay's pov
"Aaghh!! That hurts!!"i screamed with pain.
But the brat wouldn't let go.
"Jay-jayyy!! I thought you were a goner!"he cried out loud. Sometimes when i see his behavior, i want to beat him up to pulp or sell him to some gangsters and make some money. Or.. We could kill him him and sell his meat!!ohh no one will want this brat's meat. I need a better idea to make money out of him so that i could load my phone. HEHE, not that i don't have money tho.
Suddenly i heard the door slam shut. Aries left the room.
"How's keifer?"i asked out concern.
"He hasn't wake up yet. Doctors said he will be fine."he said lifelessly. Seeing him look so lifeless actually makes me sad. I forced smile.
Suddenly kuya burst in. We were surprised at first. "The doctors gave the go signal"he said."FINALLY!!, I CAN ESCAPE FROM HERE!!But wait!!i want see keifer "i said.
Kuya looked away and turned back to me."pack your bag, we'll visit him on the way"he said and went outside.
I jumped out of the bed, which made me a little dizzy.which doesn't matter. Suddenly i noticed something in my uniform skirts pocket. I took it out. It was the key keigan told me to give keifer if something bad happens to him.
I don't know what to do! What if something happens to keigan and i give this keifer and tell him what keigan told me, he'll definitely be angry at me for not telling him earlier. That'll destroy everything between us.
No, i need to warn keifer about this. As soon as he wake up. I put the key to my bag along with my uniform. I heard kuya calling me.i rushed outside. He was waiting for me. The brat joined us. We walked towards keifer's room.
Kuya opened the door. We entered inside. Keifer was unconscious, bandages all over, oxygen mask on the face. Without me knowing tears rolled down my cheeks. I sobbed so hard. Kuya tried to convince me. But how could i? He is suffering because of me. How can i be okay?
"That's enough Jay, he is gonna be fine" kuya said although he concerned about him.
"How can i be okay?he is suffering all this because of me. What did i do wrong? Why is everyone targeting me? Is falling in love with him a fault? "I asked kuya in one breath.
He signed,"he is not suffering because of you. Yuri did that not you. And about love..."he stopped for a moment. Turned his face away. And said "Falling in love is not a fault. Perhaps, Falling in love with him isn't a fault either" he said without looking at me.
"I should have recorded that"the brat said earning an immediate smack from kuya.
I walked towards keifer. Sat near him."im sorry" i said and kissed him on the forehead.
"You know,Yuri got the go signal too."kuya said. "And.. You know he was staying in our house with sir Alvin and miss Cindy"kuya said. I looked at him."you can't let him stay at our place. What if he do something to us?"i asked kuya in disbelief.
"Its too late. He had already left."he explained. I said goodbye to the brat and Keifer. We left the hospital. I don't know why but the ride felt quick. We reached home.
Tita Gema helped me get out of the car and kuya held the bag.
I got in the house. It felt good. Until i saw Yuri. He smiled at me. I couldn't return it after what he did to keifer. Everyone in the house was ignoring him.
"Jay, please let me expl-"
"For what? For what Yuri? So you can use me to kill someone?"i cut him off. Then i walked to my room. Threw my bag to the ground. I took out my phone to distract myself from all this mess. Suddenly my room's door creaked open. I saw the matchstick standing there.
He got inside and closed the door."what do you think you're doing "i asked him in fury. "Im here to explain everything "he said as he came closer to me. I stepped back.
"I don't want to know anything, just get out"i said to him as i sit down on the floor. He sat beside me. I moved away from him.
"Jay, im sorry. I shouldn't have done that. I-"
"Oh, so you know you shouldn't have done it. But you still chose to do it. Why? Because you are jealous of him!?"i asked cutting him off."jay, please just listen to me"he pleaded. For a moment i saw innocence in his eyes.
"Speak up"i told him.
"Jay"he reached for my hand which i pulled away from him and motioned him to continue. He looked down and turned to me.
"Jay, i know you're mad at me for trying to kill keifer. But consider my situation too. I know you saw the hitlist. I have to do it in order to get my mom back. And it includes keifer."he explained.
"We can always find an other way. So you don't have to kill anyone. At least you could told him or me. We could have worked together and find an other way to save your mom. You didn't have to do it!"i said to him. Some tears escaped from my eyes.
Yuri's pov
I explained to jay that i had to kill keifer in order to save my mom. She cried in front me. I tried to hug her for comforting her. But she moved away.
"Yuri, please just get out. I want some alone time. We can talk later."
"But ja-"
"Yuri, please I'll be fine just leave me alone "she cut me off. I nodded and opened the door even though i have more to explain. I know my explanation meant nothing for her. But i need to let her know what happened.
Suddenly my phone rang.
"Hello?"
"He is awake"
