New morning. New day.
But that bitch is still in my house.
A knock echoed on my door.
Jas: "Come on, sis. Wake up, it's morning."
"I'm up. Give me ten minutes."
Jas: "Hurry. Breakfast is ready."
I was heading toward the bathroom to freshen up when Kiefer entered my room like he owned it.
Kiefer: "What are you doing, gf?"
"I'm dancing."
Kiefer: "You look good."
"I'm literally in my night dress, Kiefer. Stop being clingy."
Kiefer: "It's love, not cringe."
I took a deep breath.
"Don't you think you've become too clingy in one year?"
Kiefer: "Don't you like it?"
I shot him an annoyed look and turned toward the bathroom when—
He hugged me from behind and kissed my neck and ear.
Kiefer: "Promise me… you won't leave me. No misunderstandings. Nothing. Just stay with me."
A tear dropped onto my shoulder.
I turned around, held his face. His hands were still on my waist.
"I won't leave you, Kiefer. Stop crying."
He leaned in to kiss me again.
"No. Let me brush first."
He chuckled.
Kiefer: "I'm happy today."
"Why?" I asked.
Kiefer: "Because that leech isn't following me. And you're this close to me."
"Shut up. Go eat breakfast. Your leech must still be in her beauty sleep."
Kiefer: "She's not mine. Only you are mine. And I'm yours."
"Fine. Go eat. Let me get ready."
Kiefer: "I can stay—"
"Kiefer, I have a gun."
Kiefer: "Fine! You're not romantic."
He sulked and left.
I got ready and went downstairs.
And seriously—
That leech was sitting right behind Kiefer, irritating him on purpose.
Felix: "Jay, sit here."
He pulled out a chair behind Kiefer.
"Morning, everyone."
All: "Morning."
Kiefer held my hand under the table. His hands were shaking—he was uncomfortable.
"So Percy, Jas and I will drop Raffy and Aion," I said.
Percy: "Good. I've already assigned bodyguards."
Jas: "Okay."
Kiefer pushed his chair closer to me. I squeezed his hand tighter.
Cin: "Jayyy, Felix and I will live with you!"
Others: "We're shifting to condos."
"You all can live here too," I said.
Percy: "That's what I told them."
Aren: "That's not their place."
I looked straight at him.
"It's not your place either, yet you're still here. So maybe stay quiet."
Kiefer laughed softly.
After breakfast, we left.
Aion hugged me tight on the bike.
Aion: "Tita, I want crayons."
"Fine, I'll buy you some."
We dropped them safely and headed to college.
College
Luckily, the leech wasn't in our class.
During lunch at our secret cafeteria—
Lia: "She wants property. That's why she's sticking to Aion and Raffy."
Percy: "And the Golden Box."
Kiefer: "Golden box?"
Dane: "Our parents' last thing. We were told not to open it until all four of us are married."
"And that's exactly why she wants it," I said.
Percy: "So don't interfere when it's Eden."
Everyone nodded.
Garden Scene
Ethan: "Morning, Miss Marinos."
Ama: "Don't you have work instead of annoying people?"
Ethan: "Vitman company is ours now."
Everyone burst out laughing.
Lia: "Do you even know who the CEO is?"
He froze.
I smiled.
"It's me."
Silence.
Ending Scene
In class, girls surrounded Dane, Percy, Kiefer, and Aries.
Ella and I exchanged looks.
"Yes," she whispered. "I'm jealous."
"Me too."
Suddenly—
Ella (screaming): "WHAT?!"
Aries looked at her.
Everyone looked.
Ella: "Sorry—reflex."
The bell rang.
Sir: "Dismissed."
