Chapter 42 - CHAPTER 39

At last, I was cornered by everyone. I tried everything I could to prolong the situation, but now I found myself surrounded. I poured everything I had into it, and I was only able to push the matter for a week, not more than that. I gnashed my teeth in agitation. I could only succeed for a week, damn it.

A few eyes were glaring, a few were concerned, and a few curious gazes were hawking at me. I wanted to run, but I was trapped. I was high throughout the week as I turned the tables, but I couldn't enjoy my success for the long run. I almost huffed but held back when I saw the crowd. Not only did I successfully turn the tables, but I also attracted significant attention towards myself. I didn't calculate a few things; the decision was rash, instant, and impulsive. Now, wherever I go, things are following crazily; there is so much buzz going on around me, and everyone is eager for something. The media are not making so much noise anymore, but social sites are curious, judgmental, eager for the behind-the-scenes story, and also coming up with their own. What I think of is that there is so much I need to concentrate on; I can't sit here justifying myself over my bloody action. A whole week went by swimming in my success, and there are so many scenarios that I should pick up and cover. Oh, oh, I have a lot to deal with.

"Do you even think before speaking?" I thought my dad would be the first person to break the silence, but it was Davis. "Was it that bad?" Audria said in a hesitating tone. I don't know why she is bothering to show concern now, when I handled things my way. "Rowan, did you think of consequences? At least do you have any idea what could happen now?" Davis once again, with an angry tone. "Why Morris, of all the people, Rowan? Can't you think before speaking in front of the media, and that too live?" My dad roared, and I wanted to cough at that. "Well, shit happens," I spoke, unfazed. "Like gay shit." Once again, Audria chirped in, and I glared at her. She giggled at that. "Davis was your childhood friend and also gay, but you turned gay for Dante. Yeah, I agree Dante is a big deal, covering every criterion; still, you switched just like that." Curiosity was pouring from her; well, what could I say? Shit happens. "Well, things can go out of control." "Exactly, for example, your impulsive nature." Davis barked at me. I shifted a little on the couch, knowing why they were worked up so much.

There was pin-drop silence, everyone in their thoughts, and I wanted to yawn because of this whole thing. My bed was calling; I wanted to sleep so badly, but they wouldn't leave me for another 2 or 3 hours.

"Rowan, you could have discussed this before giving this big statement." I rolled my eyes at that. "Well, I kind of tried that." "So, you turned fucking gay, all of a sudden. Do you make any sense at least for yourself?" Once again, Davis spoke louder. I wanted to rub my ears just to piss him off. "I didn't get time to think as I was swaying in my achievement; sorry, my bad." This sure pisses him off. He closed his eyes, inhaling and exhaling sharp breaths. Well, the asshole deserves it for keeping a big secret all these years. "Have you thought of the consequences? What if he sues you, damn it?" I was taken aback at that. What, suing me? "Why would he do that?" "For fucking damaging his reputation, and you know he is capable of taking half of your wealth as compensation." Can he? I gulped at that; my sleep ran out the door, and all of a sudden, I paid full attention to Davis. As I said, I didn't give a thought to the aftermath of my action and just enjoyed it till today.

I tried my best not to panic and tried my best to keep my face neutral, but I know I miserably failed as Davis smirked. "Of course, your impulsive nature is a great liability for you." He groaned. "Rowan." He exhaled a sharp, harsh breath before speaking. "Did you at least take into consideration his age factor before sprouting nonsense?" Why would I? I wanted an escape; that's it. Davis used his thumb and rubbed his eyebrow, thinking. "If the media dig a little deeper, you are in deep shit; trust me." He spoke slowly. "I don't know how you thought of covering this entire scenario." He started pacing around slowly, gritting his teeth, trying his best not to lash out. "Let's talk about the scenarios. You guys met when you were both minors, but Dante was just 12." "Almost 13," I said underneath, but still everyone heard. Davis glared at me, and I shut my mouth. "When you met, he was a minor, a fucking kid, as you kept reminding me, so you will be a molester, as the media is not friendly when it comes to you. In your teens, you were dating, and when you broke up, Dante wasn't even here. So, overall, you are fucked up." He spoke everything in one breath, and my breath hitched at that. As I said, I didn't think anything, and this is fucking too deep for my liking. "Media is towering over Dante, wherever he is going. You are lucky he hasn't given any clarification yet." I sighed at that; he glared at me. That much I had gathered about Dante: he doesn't entertain shit like that.

"Rowan, have you thought of Shreya while saying such things live?" Like hell, I would. She is the least of my problems now. "What about her dad?" "For God's sake, we were about to announce your engagement with her. Now, her parents will be livid." My dad was frustrated with everything. I get the old man, but I can't be sympathetic at present. My life matters; if I didn't do anything, I would be fucked up for this lifetime. "What if both of them team up against you, Rowan?" I squinted my eyes at that. He sighed at seeing my face. "Meridth and Morris." I shrugged; I found that hilarious. "You announced yourself gay to avoid things; are you out of your bloody mind?" He shouted those words furiously and was burning in rage. He was not getting the importance of my situation to avoid getting engaged to her; I could get pregnant too.

"Uncle, we should do something before things get beyond our reach. We should meet Morris and sort this out." Davis suggested, and I leaned back to get myself comfortable. I scratched my trim beard lightly. I thought this would be a clean entry and exit, with no drama or trauma, but this is deeper than I thought. Well, would I give a fuck? Hell no. I should never let them get involved in this. If they give me a clean exit, then Shreya will cut me into pieces; that bitch is waiting. I have not attended her calls or replied to her texts, and I was fucking running around the company while she visited. With this, I should tame everything and everyone who is getting on my nerves. Oh baby, I will.

"No," I spoke, facing both Davis and my dad. "What do you mean?" My dad spoke, conflicted, and Audria chuckled. "I have created this mess, and I am taking control of the situation and consequences," I said confidently, and I don't have any idea how the hell I am going to come out of this. "You mean that you will create more mess for us with your impulsive nature? No, thank you. Leave it to us; we will deal with it, Rowan," Davis snorted. This is my lifeline we are talking about, and I am going to use it however I want. "Let me rephrase my sentence louder and clearer so it reaches everyone. No one is interfering with this matter, and I mean it. I will solve this mess." I gave a pointed look at my dad and Davis, who looked more annoyed. "What about your grandfather? Have you thought of him?" Give me a fucking break. "Sorry, Dad, I don't have time, and you have a lot of that. Please console him; I don't want him to die because of my sexuality." I said nonchalantly, and I really felt good. My dad was taken back at the remark but composed himself soon enough to glare at me. "Well, this is really getting interesting." Once again, Audria spoke, enjoying the drama. My two elder sisters and mom were having popcorn on the couch, clearly enjoying every scene but not voicing their opinion. "Gay or not, we love you; you better know that." Once again, Audria spoke; while snorting, she joined the group. My other sisters smiled, watching me, and my mom looked puzzled with everything, but not sad. That's something, and it's a good thing.

I started walking toward the stairs, exhausted, and with everything going on, sleep still crawled back to me, hugging me. I sighed, lying on the bed. Davis's words were buzzing in my mind: Dante, age, relationship, and Shreya. What had gotten to me at that moment, I hastily announced something out of pure rage without thinking. I never think that's the problem: action first, consequences later. That's why my dad was determined to get me married to that uptight freak. I don't know whether it's right or wrong, but somehow, I know it's the only way of my exit. I can't breathe around Shreya; I would suffocate every second with her, and my dad was making this for my lifetime. Give me a break. Now, everything depends on Dante, and strangely, there is no panic in me about that. I am glad things depend on Dante and his next move; that would decide everything about my future. Unknowingly, in desperation, I entangle myself with him, and I am not feeling odd about anything. I changed my sexuality in front of the whole world, that too on live telecast, and I am ok with it. How that was even possible was beyond me. Things could get to my neck, my company's goodwill would be ruined, and my family would become the talk of the city. One wrong move against me by Dante, and things may turn upside down for me, and there was Merdith. I don't know how the hell they are going to get back to me for this. I am a little scared thinking of Shreya and her next step. There is my grandfather; I really hope he dies after hearing the news. Again, he wouldn't die before making sure everything is set like he wanted. This is too much for me to think and digest, so yeah, I should just sleep it off. Irrespective of everything that was going on, sleep consumed me, feeling safe and sound for no reason. I sighed, totally relaxed about the situation.

"Your grandson is fucking gay!" I seethed in anger in front of the old hag. I hate to indulge in manners at present. "On top of that, he is fucking not attending my call," I said, sitting on the chair, glaring at the old man. "Your son promised to contact us soon, but not a word we heard from your family, and it's been a week," I shouted at him.

The old man took his oxygen mask slowly from his mouth and spoke. "No son or grandson of mine is gay." He spoke, meeting my glare with his and with the same intensity. "I would never allow that bullshit to run in my family while I am still alive." He spoke those words in one breath and put back his mask immediately. I chuckled at his idiocy. "Are you even hearing yourself?" I couldn't help but mock him. His glare turned harder. "There were signs that I ignored." I leaned back on the chair, thinking about my time with Rowan. "I seduced him so many times, but things didn't go beyond kissing." I sighed in frustration. "He is gay, so he couldn't move beyond kissing," I concluded. "Look at me." I gestured to myself from top to bottom. "No one can ignore this." I was proud of my beauty, but Rowan's rejection was like a slap to me, which I brushed off for the sake of my old man. "He is gay, Grandpa." I couldn't help but feel a little sad about it.

Once again, the old man removed his mask, still glaring. "Are you out of your mind?" He spoke slowly. "He dated a girl for a few years." I rolled my eyes at that. "Yeah, and I am getting now why he cheated on him." Well, I solved another mystery. He is fucking gay, that's for sure. "Shreya." He started. "He is not gay, trust me," I scoffed at that. "He announced to the damn world, old man." I couldn't help but shout in his face. He is testing me. "I told you not to push him too much." He spoke in a pissed-off tone, and I scoffed at that. "Please don't tell me because of me he turned gay." I once again mocked him. He sighed, thinking. "He is in a relationship with Dante Morris' grandpa, and trust me, no one could be that bold to entangle with Morris," I spoke in more annoyance. "Things are one-sided, Shreya; nothing confirmed from Morris's side.""Nor denied," I huffed. He was even more annoyed. He went silent; I know his brain started working in every direction, and I know he would come up with something. The reason why I always ran to him, I knew he would find a solution to every problem.

"Gay or not, things could still work, you know that." Wow, I never expected that, and I was thrilled to hear that and giddy. Well, of course it would. "What do you suggest?" I asked innocently. "Are you going to give up on him?" He questioned me in return. "Speaking frankly, not at least for a few years." He sighed at that and chuckled. "I really feel pity for my grandson. Don't push him too much this time, Shreya." I huffed at the reminder. "What now, Grandpa? I don't know why your grandson involved, Dante; things may not go according to our plan." I spoke matter-of-factly. "If I am not wrong, this might be Rowan's escape plan from you." He spoke thoughtfully. "He did get hard with your touches." "Anyone will get hard if we touch and press the right place," I stated the matter of fact and he grimaced. "Right." He rolled his eyes at my comment. "Use the situation to your advantage; get more media attention by being more emotional." Deathbed or not, his brain is on the same level, cunning as hell. "Push my son and his family emotionally." My mood was turning better, and I was delighted by hearing his plan. "Let the directors pour more from their side." I chuckled at that. "I will make sure to trap my son in this situation, and you will get married to my grandson, willingly or forcefully." He nodded at himself, still thinking. "Let's turn this situation how we want. I am done waiting; it's show time." He sighed calmly and put his mask back on.

I was more relaxed and watched the old man intently. He is my inspiration from my childhood; I always questioned why I was drawn to him since I was young. Now, I am glad that I was drawn to him; things perfectly matched; we sink perfectly. Especially our thinking: if we aim for something, we make sure that it's gotten done by hook or by crook. We will break anything and everything; we don't have any morals; we fuck those who try to fuck us, and no sentiments or any values are running in us. If we want something, we will get it. Like this old man, lying on his deathbed, surviving through an oxygen mask, showing the middle finger to death so many times just to see his empire served under Desmond, for now and also in the future. No wonder he is my inspiration all along.

Gay or not, I am not giving up on Rowan; I want him for now, at least for a few years. I always enjoyed fucking a guy, and Rowan is going to add to that list soon enough. Dominating him on the bed, forcing him into submission, and breaking him completely is something I will do proudly. My whole body shivered a little just thinking that no one had played hard to get in my life. Things were easy with everyone, and now Rowan is making things difficult for me, in return making me crazier about him. I have masturbated so many times, remembering him shivering and bleeding on the bed because of me. I have my separate list of fantasies just for him, and I am going to try and dedicate everything to him when it's the right time.

From the time I saw him, I wanted him. It was just for a few nights, and meeting Grandpa extended the timeline. He was challenging and didn't give in, so the timeline extended to years. I am going to get him, that's for sure, but as Grandpa said, I should not be stupid and pushy this time. Patience is something I have never used in my life, and I am willing to be patient just for Rowan. I want to see him in pain, naked, bleeding, whimpering, shivering, pleading, and moaning just for me and because of me. I am going to fuck him royally and tear him apart, and by the time I am done with him, he will never be the same old Rowan. I will make sure of it. I chuckled inwardly; a satisfying smile tugged at my lips.

I will ruin and rip my baby step by step. Shreya, be patient for a while, I soothed myself.
