My cabin door opened slowly, and Shreya walked in, not in her usual grace but with a dead look that I had never seen on her face. I almost chuckled as I watched her. Without a word, she took the chair, and Thomas excused himself with a cough. She sat in silence, and she looked miserable. I tell you, this is not acting. I watched her in silence, studying her meanwhile. My eyes roamed from head to toe; there were so many scars and marks that she didn't bother to hide them. A smile tried to form on my lips, which I turned off. Taking the tissue paper, she flared her nostrils harshly and wiped her nose. I grimaced at the sight.
"You ruined me." She spoke in a dull voice. "You fucking ruined me, bastard." She shouted while shaking heavily. "You ripped something that I was proud of." She poured her heart out, and I felt satisfied. "You fucking ripped the only thing that I loved my whole life." She was enraged, which didn't have an ounce of effect on me. "I couldn't be me anymore, you bloody asshole." She was on the verge of crying, but she held back; trust me, tears would flow from her like a river any time soon. "Even if I try hard, I can't be the old Shreya that I was proud of." She gritted her teeth, and I felt my lips twitch in response. "I can't be the dominant, proud Shreya, you moron. I can't." Tears started to flow from her eyes, and she let them this time. "They didn't spare me for even a second, do you fucking know that?" She hiccupped, and I held back the laugh. "Not even for a second." She groaned. "They didn't let me breathe; one after another were on me, dominating, keeping me down the whole time, Dante." She cried with hiccups, and I couldn't hold back. I laughed, watching her. "They did exactly what I had done to them, pin to pin." She grunted. "I hate you." She shouted at the top of her lungs.
I passed the glass of water to her, which she gulped without wasting a second. She tried to catch her breath, and I let her. "You went too far." She added, and I rolled my eyes at that. "Are you done?" I finally asked her, to which she glared at me. "Look at me, you moron. Look at me, the marks, the scars, most of them turning blue. I have this all over the place; they have not left a free space anywhere." I shrugged at that. "I can't be me anymore, no matter how hard I try, because of you." She once again cleaned her nose, and I huffed. "You forced me." "I didn't." She shouted, and I didn't bother to argue with her.
She was hiccupping; her hair was a mess, and she didn't wear makeup today. She looked plain, simple, yet elegant. "What are you going to do, Shreya, from now on?" I questioned her, and she looked confused. "What do you mean? I am going to take revenge on both of you." I glared at her, to which she shrugged. "I have like ten batches that are waiting to get their hands on you," I informed her without any hesitation. "I have divided them into five; trust me, the top three batches of your ex-subs are worse. They would not spare you." I explained her situation: if one wrong step, she would be ruined for good. Her eyes went wide at that. "You can't do that," she shouted. "I am not able to walk, you asshole; somehow I managed to get here." "Baby," I cooed to her. "Knock it off." She shouted, and I chuckled at her.
We were silent for a while, and she was swinging on the chair. Tears were falling from her eyes, non-stop, and I groaned at the sight. I hate to see her this way, but she has a knack for pissing people off. "You knew why I was like this, Dante? You went too far." She spoke, wiping her tears. "You can't keep targeting everyone for what happened to you, Shreya." She chuckled at that. "I saved you at your worst time." She stated softly. "And that's why you are still breathing." I retorted to her, and she coughed. "It's not fair." "What you did to others was also not fair." "I took their consent. How many times should I remind you, guys? Plus, I have paid enough to them," she shouted. "Consenting doesn't mean pushing them to death or showing them agony while they are still breathing." "I fucking paid Dante enough to cover their entire life." "That doesn't suffice anything, darling." She waved a hand at me, dismissing my words.
"What are you going to do now?" She looked at me, confused. A few minutes passed; she slumped in the chair. "I don't know." She got up from the chair and started walking toward the window. She watched the view, and I watched her. They had taken their revenge to the fullest. She started rubbing her shoulder; the climate was too cold, and I joined her by turning off the AC.
"It's high time; get over your past, Shreya." She chuckled at that. "Don't talk as if you know everything." "I know," I informed her; no need to hide from her anymore. I had a glimpse, but I collected everything a long time ago. Her eyes went wide at that; tears started to flow more. "You have taken your revenge on your dad and mom for what they have done." An evil smile formed on her face. "Not yet." She spoke evilly. "Your father will die miserably, and I know your mother's fate is sealed the same way." I stated matter-of-factly. She smiled at that. "Karma is a bitch, Dante." I chuckled at that. "My father will be bedridden any time soon, and I have different plans for my mother." I hummed at that. "Looks like poison started to work on him." Her eyes went wide at that. "Not fair, you have collected too much about me." She pouted, and I chuckled at that.
"I still swim in my 11-year-old self's memory, Dante. It haunts me if I don't engage with something." I averted my eyes from her. "You should get therapy." "I bloody tried." "You didn't pour your 100%; we both know that." She hummed at that. "Because I don't want to dig into memories where my dad every night would sneak into my room and do things to her own child." She pointed while chuckling. "My mom would be at the door, watching over so no one could notice her husband's doing, and guess what?" She turned to face me, and I knew I was not going to hear something good. "She would clean me up." I groaned at that, and she burst out laughing.
We went silent, and tears started to fall from her. "I got stronger as I aged, and he didn't get his way around me again. I had to cross 16 for that." I clenched my hand into a fist. "You can't take your rage on others, Shreya." "Hey, at least I am not targeting minors." She played with her eyes innocently. "Shreya," I shouted at her, and she surrendered her hands.
"What have you planned with your mom?" She gave a thoughtful look at that. "She can't die, so she would be in a mental asylum for life." She stated, and I sighed. "Everything is already in my name, and my father is not even aware of that." I chuckled at that. "But I would not get rid of either of them. They will be around me in a miserable state, my dad for a few years and my mom for her lifetime." She spoke proudly, and I rolled my eyes at that.
"What are you going to do from now on?" Once again, I threw the question at her, and she gave me a knowing look. "What should I do, Dante?" "You had a plan to open a branch in one of the European countries." She laughed at that. "Yes, I am going to execute the plan, and I am not going to return." I nodded at that. "I am not even the real problem; you know that, right? His grandfather is." I chuckled at that. "I have plans for him too." She gave me her charming, sad look. "Poor old man, my condolences in advance." I smiled at that. "Well, you know me." "Of course, and Eddie is showing good progress, by the way." I groaned at that; not him, not now. I fucking need a break. "He won't be released till I say so," I told her in a firm voice, and she coughed at that. "Whatever, you are doing so much over a guy who is not even gay." I groaned, and she grinned, watching me. "Shut up." "Well, as far as you are dying in misery, I don't care; get your way on that duffer." She said in a monotone, and I glared at her. "Will you just shut up?" "What? Trust me, that's a universal truth: he is a dump ass. My goodness, what did you see in him?" I cringe at her words. "Shreya, knock it off." "Well, who cares? I hope you die in misery." She started waking, and suddenly she turned. "I hate you throughout my whole life for what you have done to me, you bastard. I fucking hate you." By saying that, she stormed out of my cabin, and I rolled my eyes at her overacting.
By the time I returned to the mansion, it was late at night, and Rowan was asleep. I followed my routine, and in no time, I was lying on my side. From where I lay, I could see that Row's screen was blinking; probably someone was calling, and I chuckled at that.
The next day, I was the first one to wake up, and Rowan, as usual, had ditched his side and lay on my shoulder. This is turning into a habit, a very bad one. I slowly got up without waking him and went to the washroom.
My dad and I were at the table, waiting for Rowan. It took a few minutes; he joined us with a broad smile on his face, and I rolled my eyes at that. "Finally, my grandfather died; good riddance." He announced with a broad smile. My dad and my eyes met at that. "I always thought of choking him to death but didn't act on it. Lucky him, lucky my soft nature." He declared, honesty reeking from his voice. For a second, I went blank at his honesty. My dad coughed at his words. "At last, God listened to my wish and granted it. It was too late, but hey, no complaints; where he lay at present mattered the most." My lips twitched at that, and my dad shook his head. "What do you think, heaven or hell will welcome him?" He directed the question to me. "If you ask me, hell is the better place." He answered his own question. I hummed at that, and my dad chuckled. "So, you are attending, right?" Once again, it was to me, and I faced Rowan with a straight face. "What? You should attend; he is my beloved grandfather after all." He was damn serious, and I huffed at that. "It's tomorrow, by the way. I will help my dad by sending his dad to hell. You better be on time." By saying that, he started walking to the door.
My dad and I watched Rowan till his figure was out of sight, and both of us turned to the plate simultaneously. "He is getting used to this, forgetting this is a fake relationship." My dad pointed out, and I nodded at that. Indeed, he was. "Dante, this bullshit is fake, right?" I groaned at that. "I don't have a choice over here, Dante; you are my blood, and I am bound to care. The future will be a disaster if things go this way; you better know that." He spoke in a stern voice. "Let me handle this," I grunted at him. "That's what I am worried about." He scoffed at me, and I huffed. "You better end this bullshit as soon as possible." I rolled my eyes at him, and trust me, I was on the same page.
I was late when I reached the funeral place. As I entered, Rowan noticed me and started walking my way. "You are late." He shouted, and a few heads turned my way. There was a gasp from a few people who attended the funeral. Glares from Rowan's dad, Davis, and his other family members were neutral. "We should get going." He started dragging me, and I was taken aback by that. "You don't want me to pay my last tribute to him." "No need for that bullshit; he is not that important a person." He scoffed, and I stood at the place, not knowing what to say. "Your presence matters here, I guess." "Well, he has his son, and besides, I have been here since yesterday. That's more than enough." He spoke in irritation. "Why did you call me?" I was really confused. "I thought I could manage, but watching him lying on that coffin with all the respect he is receiving from everyone. My blood is boiling as I watched this whole shit." I chuckled at that; he can be cold-hearted too. "He is dead." "That doesn't mean I can forget things he did to me." He flared his nostrils at that, and I hummed in return. "What now?" "Let's just go from here." We started walking side by side, and Rowan continued his curses. I don't think his grandfather's soul would find peace anytime soon. He will be rotten in hell, at least; Rowan would make sure of it.
