A loud, thunderous clap erupted in the hall, followed by cheers and screams. The students were clearly happy about their graduation.
Though one particular student was already sneaking out of the hall, carefully observing his surroundings—clearly not in the mood for partying.
Crimson stealthily used the alleyway of the school, intending to leave peacefully—but unfortunately, life doesn't always go as we plan.
"Hey, trash… why are you leaving at a time like this? Don't you think it's still too early to go?"
The voice sneered.
Three boys was approaching him from the back.
Three boys closed in on him from behind.
Crimson let out a tired sigh. This was exactly what he'd been trying to avoid. It wasn't the first time it had happened—But that didn't make it any less humiliating.
Crimson came from a poor background. He couldn't afford any ability books—they were far too expensive on the market. And he wasn't from a powerful family either the only thing left by his deceased parents was a necklace which he clearly has no use for.
Because of that, he—and a few others like him—were constantly subjected to mockery and humiliation in the academy.
Still, Crimson was never the kind of person to back down in situations like this… no matter the odds.
He turned to their direction. Mocking smiles stretched across their faces—the one in the middle clearly the leader, the other two nothing more than his lackeys.

A deep, intense rage erupted from the trio.
"How dare you talk about my mom like that," the leader snapped. "Do you really want to die?"
He glanced at the others. "Boys, let's take care of this trash and remind him of his place in this world."
A faint glow spread across their arms as they formed a circle around Crimson. Before he could react, a punch slammed into his stomach. Pain shot through him.
He barely had time to breathe before another hit followed—then another. The blows kept coming, one after the other, until Crimson was barely recognizable from the boy he had been moments before.
The beating went on for some time… until Crimson finally went unconscious.
"Damn it… I think we overdid it," one of them said panic-stricken. "What if he's dead?"
"Yeah… maybe we shouldn't have gone this far," another muttered.
The leader clenched his teeth. "Let's get out of here before we get into trouble."
The boys fled, leaving Crimson alone in the alley.
Other students passed by later. When they saw him lying there, none of them stopped to help—afraid of being associated with what had happened.
Crimson remained there for a long time. His blood slowly spread until it reached the necklace resting on his chest.
The moment it touched the necklace, it began to glow. The necklace floated into the air… then fused into his body.
Moments later, something miraculous happened. Crimson's injured body began to heal at an incredible rate. His muscles shifted. His bones strengthened. His entire being started to change.
And then… a screen appeared before the unconscious Crimson.
