KAYLA'S POV:
At school, I went to the tennis coach, Mr. Evans, to get my name registered for tennis.
The moment I said it, his eyes widened.
"You?"
"I mean....you? Kayla?"
"You want to participate in tennis?" Yeah… shocking for me too.
"You're a beautiful singer, model, and dancer, but tennis is… you know… not really your thing."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, tennis is for hardworking students with sharp minds, for sports students who are actually interested in playing sports...."
I interrupted him and grabbed him by the collar.
"I don't need to know all that. You're going to put my name on that damn list, or you're either going to be on the school's fired-teachers list… or the rest-in-peace list. Got it?"
Students around us started staring, so I let go of his collar, fixed it, and smirked.
"And yes… I don't know anything about tennis.
But you're here, so you're going to help me with that.
You will, right?"
"Y-yeah… of course. That's what I'm here for…"
He was sweating out of fear.
As I walked down the hallway, I saw Hari in the library. I took the bag containing his clothes and walked over to him.
"Excuse me? Thank you for this… that day."
Hari looked at me for a moment, then turned back to his books.
"It's okay. You can keep it."
"But it's yours..."
"I'll buy a new one. I don't take back what I give."
He picked up his book and walked away.
I stood there, thinking.
Was that rude… or kind?
Rude, because he didn't want something once someone else touched or used it.
Or kind, because even though he's a middle-class boy, he gives without hesitation and never takes back what he once gave.
Or both?

After school, I went home and checked my phone. The class group had sent the list of students participating in the school tennis match.
Atasha's name was on it too.
Oh God… that bitch again? She never misses a chance to be near him. That shameless girl, she already has a boyfriend, yet she still eyes other men.
How am I supposed to get close to Hari if she's there? She'll be drooling over him like always, trying to flirt with him.
Ugh… so annoying already.
